#56 Kick Back and Relax

For our challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz, Helen from the Design Team has chosen Kick Back and Relax, there are many ways to relax, so we expect to see a variety of projects. The Design Team as usual, have created some amazing cards, please pop over to check them out.  For my project, I have been longing to use this stamp, so in my mind, he is a farmer who is taking time to rest and relax whilst walking the fields. The stamp is of course LOTV - 'In The Country'. I actually watercoloured the image with my Aquamarkers, I did use Promarkers for his face and hands. The papers are from LOTV Father Knows Best and from my stash. The greeting and circle sentiments are from Kraftyhands CD - Botanical Butterflies. I stamped the dragonflies onto green vellum, adorned with clear gems. All the papers have been distressed, then edged with Walnut Stain DI. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see how your guyz have relaxed. Have fun.
I am entering this card into Just Inspirational Challenges for their Masculine challenge.

By the Sea

At Fantasy Stampers for the next two weeks our challenge is By The Sea. There are so many ways we can enjoy a visit to be By the Sea. The main requirement is you must use an inked stamp, digis are not accepted. For my card, I have chosen to use Hobby Art stamps from the Coastal Scene It set, I do love these stamps. I am not an artist, I beleive I am a crafter, but when I use these Hobby Art stamps with a water colour brush in my hand, I feel how an artist must feel. There was a lot of masking involved to complete this card, it took a few tries to ensure the houses weren't floating in the sky, but I had a lot of enjoyment in the final result. I am looking forward to visiting you to see your creations 'By The Sea'. Have fun everyone.
