Lost Coast Portal to Creativity - Make it Funny!

Those excellent peeps over at LCD are currently asking us to Make it Funny! Let's face it, this is one challenge I was never going to pass up, so here's what I made as my second entry:

I really love this gal from VLVS as she has such a great expression. I created the gel print background using a cute stamp from Rubber Dance Art Stamps called Pencil Marks 5 Clear. This set is currently unavailable, but do take a look at the site as there are other fab stamps in the same range.

And why not head on over to LCD where the gallery is starting to fill up. BTW, did I mention they have PRIZES???

Edited to add - Look what happened! I won!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #228 - E is for Expletives

We're getting all sweary over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for this fortnight.

I knew immediately the image and wording I was going to use as I've had this card in my head for a little while. I really do love this gal from the Thin Enough Set from AI Impressions

I do hope you'll come and play along - there may be some expletives if you don't, Ha ha!

I'm also linking this card at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity as they are currently playing Make It Funny for Challenge #161. This is such a great challenge blog AND a fabulous store which deserves so much more attention then it seems to get, so why not head over and take a look?

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #71 - Reminder

It's reminder time again over at Christmas Kickstart and we have the lovely and very talented Bridget with us this month as our elfin muse.

Here's a reminder of Bridget's gorgeous inspiration card.

I really like everything about Bridget's creation, but I especially inspired by the retro-look baubles and her colour palette oh, yes, and the positioning of her sentiment. So here's what I made...

The card was supposed to have a pale green background too, but I'd already stuck down the first bauble before I realised!

I also made this 'look-no-white' card using a spare bauble that didn't make it onto the above card.

The HUGS is from Jane's Doodles

Rudolph has a sweet little penguin prize on offer this month and anyone who meets the challenges guidelines will go into Rudy's Random Raffle Draw with a chance to win.

I do hope you'll come on over and join Bridget and me. You can click here to find the Challenge launch post

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #71 - Baubles

Good morning and happy February to you all. It's bright, but chilly here in the UK and so the weather feels just right for making Christmas cards!

I'm delighted to welcome Bridget from Curlybearcrafts as our elf this month at Christmas Kickstart. I'm a HUGE fan of Bridget's amazing colouring and cardmaking talents, and have followed her blog for a long time. We recently reconnected, having lost touch a little, and I was thrilled when she agreed to don the elf hat and create some fabulous inspiration for February

We're playing Baubles for Challenge #71 and I know you'll love the card Bridget's created, so please come over and take a peek.

Here's what I made for the theme.

I couldn't resist choosing an adorable reindeer from a very old Do Crafts set and partnering him with some favourite Mama Elephant sentiment stamps.

I also made this card using String Lights from Altenew and then realised that the clue is in the name and that baubles are bulbs/lights: face palm moment. It's a cute card, so I thought I'd still share it. Duh!

Rudolph has a cute prize on offer for his Random Raffle this month, so why not come on over to Christmas Kickstart where Bridget and I are looking forward to seeing your bauble creations!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #227 - V is for Vintage

What are those shiny, circular things behind our Edna... Remember them? They seemed so cutting-edge at the time, but now they are just history. Yes, we're playing V is for Vintage this fortnight at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. I knew I wanted to play with a VLVS image and went hunting for some suitable snark on Google. The background is one of my gel prints, which was just so much fun to make.

We all had way too much fun playing with this theme and would love it if you'd come play too!

Card Chain Challenge - January 2023

Our colour palette and themes really seems to have hit the spot for our CCC participants this month as we had 25 fabulous players who exchanged cards across the globe this month.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option
(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Cocktails / Elephants / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Distress Ink/ Oxide / Ombre

I sent the amazing Gail in Norway this fun card. I decided to make the most of the themes and so created a card featuring an elephant in an 80s Disco.

I bagged the lovely Arlene in California as my sender and look what arrived in the mail - Isn't it brilliant? You're so clever, Arlene.
