The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #6 - Moves on Hooves

It's time for another challenge over at The Christmas Kickstart and it's a fun one: MOVES ON HOOVES!

Horses, reindeer, cows... if it has hooves, then you're good to go!

Just the one offering from me this time as life has been a little hectic recently. However, I couldn't resist this Neat and Tangled Llama wearing his bright and cheery blanket and scarf. That lovely background stamp is also from Neat and Tangled and is called Hello Winter

I was trying to make a masculine card, but I'm not sure the pretty colours haven't thrown me off course a little!

For this challenge there are two guest elves AND a sweet bovine beauty of a stamp from the lovely people at Rubber Dance Art Stamps, so it's well worth heading over to take a look and join in the fun!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #45 - Reminder

We're still Walking in a Winter Wonderland over at Naughty and Nice and would love you to come and join us! There's plenty of mid-month fun to inspire you.

My card features a cute llama from Neat and Tangled - sweet isn't he! I'm so glad there are so many llama images available as they are rather cute to look at.

Please drop by and see what The Troublemakers have whipped-up for this fun challenge and to see our Reminder creations too!

Creative With Stamps Challenge Mid-month Reminder - Geometric

Hi there, everybody! I'm just dropping by to remind you that we are now half-way through the current challenge over at Creative With Stamps. Our theme for this challenge is Geometric!

I'm pretty sure this is a CASE of a card I saw ages and ages ago but I can't recall who made the original! I loved that card so much I bought this sweet little background from Neat and Tangled and tried to replicate it: without success. For some reason this little homage looks a whole lot better than my previous efforts!

We already have some gorgeous creations in the CWS challenge gallery but the summer vacation/holiday season seems to be keeping the number of entries on the low side. So do come and join us, won't you please?

Naughty or Nice Challenge #25

The Oscar celebrations may have come and gone but the Troublemakers have booked a seat at the Movies for the Naughty or Nice Challenge this month.

Can you guess which movie my card celebrates? I know it's a toughie...

Yep, you got it!

I have to confess to being a bit of a Star Wars 'nut'. I have a friend who is an even bigger Star wars nut than me, so bought this set to make his birthday card last year. This card is for another male friend. I have to say that these stamps certainly take the stress out of making cards for guys!

This was a super-quick make. I die-cut some blue card and heat embossed in white. Then I inked-up with Distress Inks, mounted on a white card base, added gems and called it job done.

May the crafting force be with you!

Trying something new... Part 2

Good morning everyone, I hope that you are all well and finding time to get crafty!
I really should be sanding and repainting the window sill in the back bedroom today but once again my stamps and inks are calling.

Here's a little card made using the beautiful little background stamp 'Tiny Triangles' by Neat and Tangled. I started by colouring some watercolour paper with Picked Raspberry Distress ink and then spritzing with water. Once this was dry I stamped in Versamark and embossed in gold.
The gorgeous Peace stamp is an oldie from Dawn Houser for Inkadinkadoo. I have had this stamp for a very long time but have never really known what to do with it until now.
To finish the card I added sequins and tiny gems, twirled some thread and mounted on black cardstock. I think this works well as an alternative style Christmas card so I'm linking up with The Sparkles Monthly Challenge: Christmas in July and Christmas Card Challenges: Anything goes.

Now then: window sill or crafting? Its a hard choice. Perhaps I'll just have a cuppa while I decide...
