Card Chain Challenge Reveal - November 2025

It's a bright and chilly start to the day here in the UK and I can't believe we've reached the 2nd of December! That can only mean one thing... yes, a brand new Card Chain Challenge Reveal!

We had 25 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month, and in doing so brought our total number of cards exchanged to 4,832. A huge thank you to everyone who plays this challenge - you've made a wonderful little crafters community and it's such a pleasure to join the fun each month. A big thank you to Gail for all she does to keep this fun challenge rolling along.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option
(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option
(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Feathers
/ Vintage / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Buttons / Abstract

I found myself sandwiched between Linda's this month and I sent this cared to Linda in Michigan...

Card Exchanging Friends from Simon Says Stamp
and Bohemian Collection by Crafters Companion

And received this beautiful creation from Linda W in Minnesota.

Iyou want to join in the fun you can sign up for the Card Chain Challenge.  All sign ups run in advance, from the 7th of the preceding month to the 6th of the exchange month.  All reveals happen on the 2nd of the month after the exchange is complete.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #82 - The Midas Touch

Happy New Year!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and that you're ready for another year of crafting and creating. Did Santa bring you new crafting goodies? He was VERY kind to me this year!

I'm so happy to be kicking off a brand new year of Christmas card making over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge with my dear blogging friend, the very talented Linda W.

Our theme is:
Challenge #82 - The Midas Touch

We'd like to see some gold on your cards for this challenge. Not necessarily a whole card dripping with gold, but more like an accent, a 'pop', a touch of gold. You will LOVE what Linda has created for our challenge together, so please head on over and take a look!

This is my card for the challenge. I used this sweet stamp from Crafters Companion called True Friends, which was a gift from my crafting bud, Gail. It isn't a Christmas set, but I gave the girl long sleeves, warm tights and added a Wintery night sky to give things a festive feel.

This is a rather minimal interpretation of our theme, so please feel free to go for a bigger pop, touch or splash of gold on your cards if you wish.

My second card is a total, 100% CASE of a card I received a few years back from my VERY talented Sistah Toni. I had so much fun making this homage to Toni's original creation using a Christmas Darkroom Door image and super cute POD pup. Thanks for giving me the thumbs-up to share it here, Toni, and for wanting to pass along the inspiration.

As always, our favourite deer, Rudolph, is on hand with a great Random Raffle Prize to Kickstart the prize giving for 2024. He believes you can never have enough beautiful sentiment stamps and I have to say I agree!

Please come and join Linda and me as we play The Midas Touch!

Snippets!

Hi everyone, I decided it was time for a little play with my snippets, and this is what I came up with!

A very CAS creation, but one that seemed to fit the bill for how my cardmaking brain was feeling this morning.

The image is from a magazine giveaway called Sweet Samantha and the sentiment comes from Sassy and Classy true Friends by Crafters Companion.

I'm linking up to Snippets Playground Challenge #454 and, after I've been to the hairdressers, I'll grab a cuppa and look through the entries!

Have a fun  day!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #42 - Use a Christmas Embossing Folder and a Stamp

There's double the fun on offer over at Christmas Kickstart as we join forces with Let's Squash It! That's right, because there's only one thing better than ONE Embossing Folder challenge: TWO embossing folder challenges!

The lovely Gail is our elf for this challenge and it just so happens that we've recently partnered up to start a new challenge blog where we celebrate the embossing folder in all it's craftin' glory! If you're not familiar with our new venture you can take a look here.

Our theme Challenge #42 is:
Use an Christmas Embossing Folder and a Stamp

And here's what I made:

I LOVE this Crafter's Companion embossing folder (Nordic Christmas Reindeer Parade) so much! I used some lovely, soft Bazzil Basics card to emboss the image and then swiped a gold Versacube across it. The centre panel features a very old Technique Tuesday sentiment plus an unnamed holly die and some red gems. This looks great IRL, but hasn't photographed well.

Here's my second make for the challenge:

This was such a quick and simple card to make. I stamped the sentiment and then embossed. The robins were added after the embossing from Papermania/Docrafts set Noel - which seems to be unavailable except on eBay. The folder is an oldie from CuttleBug called Christmas Snowflakes.

This challenge will run at Christmas Kickstart until Monday 23rd November, but will continue until the end of the month over at Let's Squash It! There will be winners and prizes on both blogs, so please link up on each to double your chances of winning! The rules are slightly different on each blog, so please don't forget to check them before you sign up.

Hope you'll come and join the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #172 - X is for fauX

We're playing X is for fauX for the next two weeks at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and I've gone with a faux metallic look for my card.

Yes, my embossing folder fixation continues unabated, but can you blame me with a folder as gorgeous as this one??? It's a 6cm x 6cm folder from Crafters Companion called Reindeer Parade from their Nordic Christmas Range and the little die cut at the centre is from Simon Says Stamp.

I used Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polish to get the metallic finish and found it quite easy to work with  once I adopted a less is more approach!

The sistahs have created some fabulous cards, so please head over and join the fun!
