User Roles
This page allows you to manage user roles.
Available User Roles
User Roles allow you to control permissions and access levels for different users. Each role provides specific abilities to interact with campaigns and other users.
By default, there are such roles in your WL DSP account:
- Administrator – has access to all users and their entities, except other Administrators;
- Supervisor – has access to their advertisers and, optionally, other Supervisors and their advertisers if visibility is enabled;
- Advertiser – has access only to their own campaigns and entities;
- Custom Role – has access only to their own campaigns and entities.
Visibility Scope by Roles
Administrator Role
- Access Level: Full access to all campaigns, users, and platform settings, except those owned by other Administrators;
- User Management: Can create, edit, and delete users. Assigns roles and manages user permissions;
- User Sharing: Can share access with Supervisors and allows Supervisors to see campaigns/users shared with them;
- Use Case: Suitable for users responsible for overseeing platform operations, creating, and managing all users and campaigns;
- Customization: Cannot be customized beyond the predefined Administrator capabilities.
Supervisor Role
- Access Level: Limited access to campaigns and users they create or those shared by Administrators;
- User Management: Can manage only the users they created or those shared with them by Administrators;
- User Sharing: Cannot share campaigns or data with other users;
- Use Case: Designed for mid-level management, focusing on specific campaigns or teams;
- Customization: Additional permissions can be granted based on specific needs (e.g., visibility of other Supervisors).
Advertiser/Custom Role
- Access Level: Can access only their own campaigns and related settings. No access to platform-wide settings;
- User Management: Cannot create or manage other users;
- User Sharing: Cannot share campaigns or data with other users;
- Use Case: Ideal for advertisers running and optimizing their own ad campaigns;
- Customization: Fully customizable to match unique use cases (e.g., custom permissions or reporting access).
