Visible Image Friday: one stamp that makes a card

Hello, my dear stamping friends! This is my Visible Image Friday post and today I am going to show you 2 cards, each made with one single Visible Image stamp only, but this stamp is a major point of the card.
The first card is a Bon Voyage card. I make it all around this Vintage Car Visible Image stamp.
The card was stamped with clear embossing powder, heat embossed with Black Wow Embossing Powder and then cut out. I used travel papers from October Afternoon as my basic paper and added road washi tapes to make those junctions. The sentiment was made with Prima fabric letters. As you can see the  whole card is this Old  car stamped image. Sometimes one great stamp makes the card and we don't need more.

My second card for today  was made around this Be Unique stamp from Sewing Room set.
I used a plain burlap fabric to die cut this puzzle shape and then made the same cut using red fabric and added this single piece as a part of the whole shape. And here it was- one Unique piece  around all others. So I stamped this Be Unique sentiment with red ink and clear embossed it and this was all we need  to explain this card layout.

My tips for today:
Sometimes we make card and then add a sentiment, but sometimes we can pick a sentiment and then to make our card " around the sentiment".
Sometimes we can use one big stamped image , to pop it up with 3d foam glue and to make it " the whole card" (everything else was added to fit the image)
And one last: use embossing powder to make your stamped image shiny and standing out. Any pigmented ink can be used with Clear embossing powder and any colored embossing powder can be used with Clear Embossing ink.

Hi FRIEND CARD

This card was published in Scrapstreet magazine July 2012 issue
My new WOW project this month is a card... After 4 month of scrapbooking, I switched to a card as I wanted to make a different project this time.

So here is my vacation card, using Call me Wow stamp set- all 3 phones, over this October Afternoon travel line papers and stickers.
All stamps were heat embossed with Wow powders: Suzy West Red Cable, Clear Fine and Black Ebony. I also made the black cardstock edges with the same Cable Red powder , also over the black it's not so much red after all.

Bon Voyage card - so easy with TRC stamps

This card was published in SNR July 2012 issue
My new The Rubber Cafe card. So easy to make those Bon Voyage cards with those gorgeous vacation stamps.

So I used a compass stamp with masking technique (the mask was too thick, so we can see a bit of a " white space:, but I still like the result. I used a dark navy ink and clear embossing powder for the Compass. Then I stamped over the mask with Paris Nights Background , Turquoise ink and  a hear clear embossing again.
All paper products are from October Afternoon travel line and I made a sentiment with OA and MLS small letter stickers over my clustered stickers spot.
Then I added a jute RRR ribbon and stamped 2 post stamps - fantastic set of 4 from TRC, cut them around with old and never used decorative scissors.
A few more stickers and Handmade Halo shop embellishments  and my card is done.

And now about  those so called stickers: they are non sticky at all. So I added TRC fantastic Scrap Happy Glue and now it stays on the place.
I remember this Tim Holtz words from the class I took with him: self adhesive stickers are  non- adhesive ones. So much true and  the perfect glue is so much needed after all.
