I stumbled across a new tv show, Spaced Out, about interior decorating of the blank check variety
this 74 Countach S is hanging on anchors to the steel beams in the walls, with cables around the back, because this car was a beach car that had been stored too long in the salt air by the beach, and the gas tank was so rusty that it made a repair not economically feasible. The big issue was blowing out the oil and brake fluid so that there would be no leaks down the wall
Yes, a Lambo on the wall as interior decorating. Like I said, blank check variety
This model of the TWA Constellation, claims it was outside Howard Hughes' office, and since he was the majority stockholder or owner of TWA, that makes sense. He also requested a 40-passenger transcontinental airliner with a range of 3,500 miles, and that requirement led to the Constellation, designed by Lockheed engineers, including Kelly Johnson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Constellation

CBS has ordered a pilot for a TV show about the DMV
DMV is a workplace comedy set at the place everyone dreads going most: the DMV. Our quirky and lovable characters are making minimum wage, doing a thankless job where customers are annoyed before they even walk in the door. Good thing they have each other.

It must have been great to be a Model T or Model A mechanic. I am watching "Vise Grip Garage" on Max (Hbo Max, Max +... whatever the hell it's going to be called 5 minutes from now) and the episode on the Detroit Model A is a quick lesson in simple engines 101
I am getting a kick out of the host, Derek ... he's a fun guy, and damn good at running patter while working on cars in the field, or in the garage.
I recommend the show, either on Max, or You Tube. But You Tube has a short video, and the ones on Max are 45 minutes, roughly.
Derek has some FUN sayings...
for example, he calls a sledgehammer (used for breaking loose brake drums) a Tonya Harding 3000.
he calls a rattle can paint job in an engine bay, or on the engine, a "Craigslist Rebuild"
he calls a cutting torch is a "gas axe"
I'm gonna do the right thing and pretend I didn't see that.
richer than Oprah Winfrey.
That's hotter than Shania Twain in the 90s
I can’t believe this but I guess I got to, I’m looking right at it!Holy Terry Labonte! (I love that one)
Hood Prop 300
Ice Cube Juice
Time for Cold Snacks (beer)
I wonder what Reba McEntire is doing right now?

Terminator Broccoli (throttle body)
He makes up the most impressive descriptions for smells when discovering the stench of decades of dead animals and whatever in the trunk
"smells like a hot armpit of old dentures"
Smells like a cross between 87 octane, Pennzoil, a high school gym locker and Sasquatch.
Smells like a horse hoof dipped in gas station nacho cheese

Smells like a bowling shoe mouse house with a hint of green onion
Smells like a wet shoebox full of alligator feet and red onions
Smells like a potato sack full of cigar boxes and a lotta regret

What 3 Words was mentioned on Clarkson's Farm! Season 3, episode 8. (and Caleb had the funniest bit on the episode, with warming up his palm before smacking his forehead in exasperation)

While getting lots of rest and watching tv, I went back to an old favorite, Northern Exposure
interesting that the Scout has a legit DOD windshield sticker, they stopped issuing this style about 15 years ago, I never see them anymore
this is Mark Pellegrino, famous for roles in Big Lebowski, playing Lucifer in the tv series Supernatural, Locke and Key, Chuck, Jacob on Lost, Dexter, National Treasure, Hunter, and Lethal Weapon 3 and a hundred and 25 others
Watching old tv shows for the as yet unknown stars that would come, is a hoot. The actor James Marsters, who played Spike in Buffy the Vampire tv series, his first role was on Northern Exposure, he played Reverend Harding, in 1992

if you missed the glory days of the SYFY channel on cable about 15 years ago, you probably haven't heard of the tv show Warehouse 13 (like the one the Ark of the Covenant at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark was stored in)
the reason they have their hands on the copper bar is that the energy to power the car is coming from them (according to the storyline)
in the show's narration, this vehicle was made by Edison for Henry Ford, and you can see the steering wheel is a Fatman tilt wheel

It was a FUN tv show, in the same zone of Voyagers, Quantum Leap, Back to the Future, and other romps through adventures to correct things that are going wrong. The cast is superb, from CCH Pounder, and Eddie McClintock to the many guest star actors you're already familiar with, like Lindsay Wagner, Mark Sheppard, Rene Aberjornois, James Masters, Anthony Michael Hall, Tia Carrere, Kate Mulgrew, Roger Rees, and Brent Spiner among a long list of others you might know, like Kelly Hu, Aaron Ashmore, Jamie Murray

Hemmings’ newest series, Tested: Muscle, aims to find out what are American muscle cars from the 1960s through the early ‘70s really like to own. The 6-episode series starts on Sept 5th on Hemmings Youtube channel
Each episode pulls an original/restored muscle car out of a garage and treats it to a proper full-fledged review.
Each episode focuses on one vehicle, popping the hood, scoping the trunk, crawling underneath, and most importantly, driving them, to see just how good (or not so good) they really are.
This guidebook series shows you how these cars should look and drive, so you can make an informed decision when looking to purchase an original or restored example.
Vehicles reviewed include
a 1962 Pontiac Catalina 421 SD,
a 1970 Ford Torino 429 Cobra Jet,
a 1978 Pontiac WS6 Trans Am W72 performance pack,
and a 1963 Studebaker Avanti R2.
Tested: Muscle reviews some unique vehicles and probably not the muscle car you're looking to buy, nor can afford.
It is essentially a new car review for those in the market for these specific cars, which are all-stock classics, to inform the viewer how they should look, feel, and sound.
I predict this will air ball / whiff without hitting the target/hoal, as they are not testing the logical cars that the majority of buyers are buying.
Mustangs with 289s, Road Runners with 383s, Chevelles with 350s, Camaros, Chargers, Challengers, etc. If there was a car I'd guess no one is buying to drive, its an Avanti, the next guess is a Catalina SD.

the tv show about the 2 most fun women to ever pose with a forkloft is now on Amazon Prime
and I enjoyed it a lot as a kid, so I've been waiting and hoping that some streaming service would get it. Amazon Prime finally did. There are only 3 episodes of season 1 however.
and the th episode showed the inside of her father's pizza place and bowling alley.
This is the most rated G show you can think of... it's amazing. Really cute 1950s culture though
And in season 2 Lavern learns to drive in a Hudson Hornet... really coolWednesday, May 31, 2023

The Electric Mayhem is finally streaming, (on Disney +) and making me happier than usual, as I dig the Muppets, and Rock N Roll... and the show is real fun!
They are doing a lot of fun little things, like guitar shoulder straps for seat belts! Lava lamps for house exterior lighting, even the driveway/mailbox post, SO 60s goofy fun, a LAVA LAMP! HA!

upcoming new tv series based on a video game about marauding vehicles in a post apocalyptic world, Twisted Metal
Starring Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz as the enigmatic woman Quiet and Thomas Haden Church as psychotic highway patrolman Agent Stone.
https://www.ign.com/articles/twisted-metal-poster-peacock-playstation-series
Will Arnett voices Sweet Tooth, while Joe Seanoa (a.k.a. wrestler Samoa Jone) performs the character physically.
According to the official synopsis, Twisted Metal follows “a motor-mouthed outsider, John Doe, who is offered a life-changing opportunity, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland to complete his mission and survive the onslaught of killer cars.
I've never heard of this or the other video games from the 90s, so here's a video that mentions the other vehicles the tv show might have, from the game
The first season premieres July 27th and consists of ten episodes.
