Problem solved !

That photo of a real headlight is all this car needs to get by... and saved a paycheck by just printing and taping the photo, instead of buying parts

Thanks Lucian!

The Memphis Belle is getting restored!

And because of it's decades long exhibitions, it was occasionally robbed of small items, and if anyone can reconnect the parts with the plane, it would be tremendous!

Some parts got lost other ways, like breakage, and here http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123338080 is a story of an engine primer knob getting back to the Belle! (It was found near where the Memphis Belle had been parked aka breakage)

B-17F Memphis Belle®The inboard wings have been mated to the fuselage and the landing gear has been lowered for the aircraft to sit on. Sheet metal repairs continue on the forward belly. The pilot's instrument panel and the missing bomb bay door is being fabricated from factory blueprints. The bomb bay door sheet metal repairs are also being worked. In addition, the wing root items are being fabricated and installed and the engines have been installed on the aircraft. Volunteers are restoring the tailgunner position and connecting the engine controls and accessories. Structural repairs are also being performed on the vertical fin and horizontal stabilizers. Click here to view a photo slide show of the Memphis Bellerestoration or here for more information and photos

Note: The original Memphis Belle was on static display in Memphis, Tenn., until October 2005. At that time, it was transported to the museum where it is now undergoing restoration.

Pete Correale on car repair

"You know you're not going to be able to fix your own car when you can't even find the bar that hold your hood up."

The website of "Stupid things people do to fix stuff" ThereiFixedit.failblog.com

Found in the first car of some young highschooler I bet... old cars didn't have cup holders I'm thinking... I never had anything made from 1973 to 1989, so I don't know. They aren't in my zone of interest.

I'm betting someone ends up in the emergency room

Sheesh these are lazy kids, is there anyone reading this that didn't put in years mowing lawns as a kid, before riding lawnmovers, self-propelled lawnmovers, and you think these kids could really use some time pushing a lawnmower?
real bad decisions caught on camera and shared with the rest of us to warn us of stupid ideas http://thereifixedit.failblog.org/

Don't do this, I hit a dip in the road too fast, again.

Only 5 inches above the pavement. The lowest point on the car is the drain plug

JB weld to the rescue! Again! Seals like a weld job. http://jbweld.net/products/uses.php
Much less expensive than a new 8 qt oil pan. (about 150 for another deep one that I'll just peel open, but Ray Barton Racing makes the only one to buy that's shallow, wide and lots of capacity... http://www.raybarton.com/oil.html ) $400 from Milodon , no picture. 21010
Wedge 1 Line Static Total: $395.38
