Contrary to what TBS would have you believe, Chad Billingsley was the star of Game 2 of the NLDS series between the Dodgers and the Cubs. It wasn't the wistful Cubs fans. Judging by the endless camera shots of Cubs rooters, pining and pleading and yearning and lamenting, you would have thought baseball fans had tuned into the game to watch the world premiere of "Hopeless Romantics Bury Their Faces in Their Hands." I wish I had a counter, because I know they displayed more than 200 closeups of Cubs fans during the game. Even when Billingsley was being interviewed after the game by Tom Verducci, the only member of TBS's broadcasting crew able to utter three sentences without making an error in fact, TBS couldn't contain themselves.
