Kick her to the curb?

All right, this is serious business here. As you might have noticed, I have a little bit of a thing for Alyssa Milano. Just a little bit, because that's all that my wife will allow. I've mentioned her periodically in posts, and her lovely visage has sat on my sidebar for about two years now. And that's what I'm afraid I must discuss. The picture of Alyssa links to her Major League Baseball blog . As you know she's a big baseball fan and Dodger fan. And she used to blog a whole bunch. Some of the topics were kind of interesting. It was nice to read about someone in the entertainment field who was such a big baseball fan, a fan of my team. But she hasn't blogged in a long time. A long, long time. The second most recent blog on her site was about Opening Day. LAST YEAR'S Opening Day. The most recent blog was about Twitter, which is appropriate because she's on the thing more than any other human being alive. I eventually had to unfollow he...

My poor Dodgers

I am one of Alyssa Milano's 80 bajillion followers on Twitter. I don't know why really. I don't have much interest in her tweets, even though she is a rabid, rabid tweeter. I think I was hoping she'd tweet about the Dodgers a little more often -- seeing as she's a diehard fan. But I think I know why she doesn't tweet about the Dodgers a whole lot. From being a follower, I've learned that she is relentlessly positive, and there AIN'T NOTHING POSITIVE about the Dodgers. If I had to guess at her reaction to my team's absolute pathetic discarding of a 7-run 8th-inning lead, I'd say it'd be something short and not-so-sweet. Like "crap," or, more likely, something that would violate the Twitter character limit, like: "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I know Alyssa, I know. Right. There. With. Ya. Really, it...

Say it ain't so, Alyssa

I don't follow Hollywood types at all. I never go to movies anymore. I rarely watch TV programming that is not sports-related, and gossip magazines were strictly my grandmother's territory. And she's not around anymore. So, I just found out that our dear Dodger devotee and fanatical baseball fan, Alyssa Milano, got hitched a couple of weeks ago. Who knows how long it would have taken me to discover that if I didn't have a link to her blog right on my damn site? I guess I've got to actually click on my own links once in a while. So, this is a heavy duty bummer, of the sort that has absolutely no impact on my life at all, since I am 100 percent, happily, happily, happily married (did I mention, happily , dear?). But, still, Alyssa, why do you want to go and do that to me? And an agent? You married an agent? Yuck. But this is the worst part: Her new husband is a Yankee fan. This is totally unacceptable. There are certain deal-breakers in a relationship for me. Cheati...
