C.C. Designs: ABIGAIL Digi

Happy Tuesday everyone! Did you see that Christine added a few Swiss Pixies to the Digital section of the store? I absolutely LOVE the Swiss Pixies so I went and snagged a few for my projects this month. Today I'm showcasing this adorable gal called ABIGAIL.

The fabulous papers including the square sentiment are from one of my favorite paper pads from Doodlebug Design called FRENCH KISS 6x6 Paper Pad. Paris is on my bucket list so this paper tugs at my heartstrings.....and the paper include some of my favorite colors.

C.C. Designs: ELLA SWISSIE

Happy Monday everyone! Did you check out the 5 new Swissies that were part of the JUNE 2020 RELEASE from C.C. Designs? They are so adorable and cute! I'm a huge fan of this fabulous line of stamps and I'm so glad they are making a come back! 

 

 There will not be a new release in July. Instead, the talented Design Team will be showcasing some older stamps during the month. Then in August, C.C. Designs will bring you some new goodies. I've already seen the sneak peeks and let me tell you, it's going to be AWESOME!! 

 

Today, Im featuring ELLA SWISSIE. Isn't she beautiful?! This set just might be one of my faves from the June Release. I stamped her on Xpress-It Blending Card and colored her skin and hair with Copics. The rest was paper-pieced and Star Dust Stickles added for extra sparkle.

C.C. Designs: Teen Swissie Afro Hair Tutorial

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had several people asking me how I created the Afro on Teen Swissie for my C.C. Designs Release Day card so today I'm sharing a tutorial. I use Copic Markers for my coloring medium.

STEP 1: I stamped my image onto Xpress-It Blending Card using C.C. Designs Black Olive Ink Pad, and colored his skin using E11, E13, E15, E37, E18. Next, I used Copic Black 100 to create the base squiggly lines. This helps to hide the stamped hair line. At the top of the pic you can see how I scribble the marker to create random circles (I scribble clockwise and counter-clockwise to fill in the space). I leave some large open circles, because I'm going to fill those in with some brown.

STEP 2: I bring in with E49 and continue to add squiggly lines to fill in more of the white areas.

STEP 3: I bring in E47 and continue to add squiggly lines filling in more of the white space.

STEP 4: For the final step, I bring in E44 and I add dots over the hair to fill in the white spots especially those closer to his face.

This is the final result of his hair all colored in.

I hope this inspires you to try a different hairstyle on your C.C. Designs characters!

This adorable paper is from Carta Bella Boy Oh Boy 6x6 Paper Pad and it fit my card theme perfectly! I used a die from the C.C. Designs Borders Metal Die Set to create the zig zag edge. The paper panel and Teen Swissie are raised on foam tape for extra dimension.

C.C. Designs June Release PREVIEW DAY

The butterfly paper came from my stash. I used one of the new dies from the new Borders Metal Die Set to cut the butterfly paper and some black cardstock to create the scallop border. The enamel dots are also from C.C. Designs.

Today, I'm showcasing another fabulous girl from the 20's Gals Stamp Set. I decided to add a pop of red to the black and gold this time around. I just LOVE her! She is stamped on Xpress It Blending Card, and colored with Copic Markers. I even gave her some fancy black gloves!

To create the card I used all 3 of the new dies. The gold paper was cut out using the largest die from the Scalloped Rectangles set. The red and gold patterned paper was cut out using the largest die from the Rectangles Set. And then I added scallop cut-outs from the Borders Die Set.

C.C. Designs May 2020 Release Preview: BEE SWISSIE

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm previewing another new stamp set coming to the C.C. Designs Store on Thursday at 12pm CST. The May Release is totally going to knock your socks off!! There will be 6 new stamp sets and 3 new die sets...and let me tell you they are AMAZING!! You are going to want it all! 

This adorable set is called BEE SWISSIE and has the cute girl, 3 mini bees, a small beehive, and 4 sentiments. For my card today I just used the girl and the mini bees. Isn't she ADORABLE?!!

This large beehive is a die from Honey Bee Stamps. I cut it out of yellow cardstock and used my Copics to add more color and dimension. I used the circle die from C.C. Designs and cut a hole in the beehive and then mounted it to black cardstock using foam tape so it has more dimension. The branch at the top was fussy cut from paper that is part of the In The Forest 6x6 Paper Pad.

Happy Monday everyone! I'm back with a special post today to show you a preview of some new stamps coming to the C.C. Designs Store this Thursday!!  I found some really cool Art Deco Digital Paper, along with a fabulous Great Gatsby printable on Etsy. They really matched these stamps perfectly! The quote and characters are raised on foam tape for extra dimension.
