Dies R Us: LAWN FAWN CAR CRITTERS CHRISTMAS POP-UP BOX CARD

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I'm showing you how to put together a Pop-Up Box Card using Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies. I know it looks a little intimidating, but I promise you it's not that difficult. I'll be sharing tips along the way to help you overcome your fear of putting this type of card together. If you have the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up Dies, and haven't used it yet, go grab it now. Your card recipient will LOVE you for gifting them a Pop-Up Box Card!

Let's get started!

Step 1: Cut two of the scalloped frame shapes to form the box.

Step 2: IMPORTANT: On one of the pieces, do NOT fold the large scallop flap. That piece forms the back of the box card. Fold the other flaps.

Step 3: Put scor-tape or strong glue on the side flaps to glue the two pieces together forming the box. The flat, scallop piece goes to the back. Now your box is assembled....YAY!! See, I told you easy peasy!

Step 4: Cut two of these inside box pieces, and fold down the flaps. Put scor-tape or strong adhesive on the flaps. These will be placed inside the box.

Step 5. Start with one of the pieces and pull off the adhesive backing on the scor-tape on one side. Stick that side to the edge of the box towards the back of the box. I prefer to use scor-tape on these pieces because it adheres right away. Next, line up the opposite side, pull off the adhesive backing and gently stick it down. At this point you want to fold the box flat to make sure the inside panel is lined up correctly and the box folds flat. You may have to gently loosen the piece and re-stick it down to get it to fold correctly. Repeat the same steps for the 2nd inside piece. This is probably the hardest part of putting this box together. Once you get it then it's smooth sailing from here on out.

Step 6: Now comes the FUN part....the decorating! First you want to cover your box with decorative papers. I used Doodlebug Design Night Before Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad. You can use the additional dies included in the Lawn Fawn set to cut your patterned paper for the outside of the box or you can use your paper trimmer (which is what I did).

Step 7: To decorate the inside of the box, I used Lawn Fawn Car Critters Stamps and Dies, along with Lawn Fawn Car Critter Christmas Add-on Stamps, Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Backdrop-Portrait (trees), and Elizabeth Craft Designs Village Edges (village backdrop behind trees).

Here are the products I used:

2020 Cat Lovers Hop featuring The Greeting Farm Scaredy Cats

Happy Thursday everyone! Today, I'm sharing a cat project for the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop using a stamp and digi set from The Greeting Farm who happens to be one of the sponsors! You can read all the details and link up HERE. There are over 40 Sponsors this year and daily games and prizes! It's definitely worth playing along!

I've been on a Pop-up Box Card kick lately so I decided to create one for this Blog Hop. I used the Scaredy Cats Stamp Set and the Halloween Nite Digi Set to create this Halloween cat scene.

I used a Lawn Fawn die to create the box. I just extended the back so it's higher. The flying cat was placed on a thin strip of plastic so he's looks like he's actually in the air. The front panel has a cat in a pumpkin and a black cat behind a jack-o-lantern (cut from a sheet of paper). The middle panel has a wood fence and bat cat sitting on the fence.

The great thing about these cards is that they fold flat for mailing.

You can see more cat projects from my fellow DT sisters on The Greeting Farm Blog

The Greeting Farm: TRICK OR TREAT 4 & HALLOWEEN NITE DIGIS

Happy Thursday everyone! Who says Halloween has to be all scary? Today I'm sharing another Pop-up Box Card in pink, orange, and black featuring The Greeting Farm's Trick or Treat 4 and Halloween Nite Digis. I started this a week ago and finally finished it. I'm LOVING these Pop-up Boxes lately!

I found these pretty pink and orange digital papers on Etsy and knew they would be perfect for the little girls from the Trick or Treat 4 set. To complete the look, I colored the haunted house and ghosts from Halloween Nite in pink also.

The two front ghosts were glued to plastic so they would float in the air. The ghost on the house is on foam tape.

The sentiment is a stamp from an older Trick or Treat clear stamp set. To create the pop-up card box, I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Card Pop-Up Dies.

Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store and grab your favorites. You're going to LOVE them all! And please come join The Greeting Farm Fan Page to share you creations. We would love to see them!

Jaded Blossom: HALLOWEEN RELEASE BLOG HOP!

Now if you're here from Cindy's Blog, you're in the right place. If you're just passing through start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing. I also have the complete line up at the bottom.

For my project today, I converted the Crate Die into a Popup Box Card! All you have to do is cut off the bottom tabs from the Crate Die and voila....you have a box card that can fold flat for mailing. I also found that two of the dies in the Rectangle Dies 1 fit with the width of the crate die so I used those to cut black cardstock for the sides and the back of the crate. Those pieces were glued to the inside of the crate box to reinforce the sides and make a taller back.

Copics:
Green: YG23, YG25, G46, G28
Blue: B12, B14, B16, B18

I love these Popup Box Cards because you can incorporate so many elements into one project. And see the blue monster? He's glued to a thin piece of clear plastic so he's jumping in the air!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPTEMBER: The Greeting Farm GOT CAKE?

Happy Sunday everyone! I have a special post today! The Greeting Farm is joining in the Simon Says Stamp STAMPTEMBER 2020 event and Marie created this AWESOME set called GOT CAKE? You can only purchase this set from Simon Says Stamp until supplies last. So head over and snag your set right away!! The Stamptember sets are flying off the shelves at a very quick pace so there is no telling if these will last all day!

I've been on a Pop-Up Box Card roll lately, so I created another one combining the Stamptember set with the Birthday Party Digi Set from TGF. This sweet girl is ready for her party!

I used the Lawn Fawn Scallop Card Pop-Up Dies to create the box. The paper is from Echo Park Birthday Wishes Girl 6x6 Paper Pad. The sentiments are from the Got Cake? Stamptember Set.

I had so much fun creating this special birthday pop-up box card using this fabulous set. The colors just make me happy! Now RUN to Simon Says Stamps and grab your set before it's gone for good. Remember, these sets are not re-stocked, and because it is a special collaboration set The Greeting Farm will not carry this in their store.

Have a great day!

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: TRICK OR TREAT 4, HALLOWEEN NITE, & HALLO SENTIMENTS DIGIS

Happy Monday everyone! We are on our last day of Stamp Features for the
SEPTEMBER Release at The Greeting Farm, and today is a doozie! Marie created 3 brand new Digi Sets for Halloween and they work perfectly together to create an amazing scene!

I created two projects today. I've been on a Pop-Up Box Card roll lately, so I created another one along with a card. One of my fave movies from the 80s is GHOSTBUSTERS so when I saw the Stay Puft Marshmallow digi with the Ghostbusters in the Trick or Treat 4 Set, I just had to go that route! The ghosts, tree, and moon/clouds are from the Halloween Nite Set. I also included the sentiments from the Hallo Sentiments Set.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Boy Hair: E42, E44, E47
Girl Hair: E25, YR23, Y21
Clothes: E42, E43, E44
Machines: C3, C5, C7
Stay Puft: C0, C1, C2, Colorless Blender

Blue: B14, B16, B18, B29
Red: R24, R27, R29, R57, R59
Ghosts: YG01, YG03, YG11, YG23
Tree: W7, C8
Moon: YG00, YG21, C0, C1, Colorless Blender

I used Distress Oxide Inks on the sentiment panels and spritzed them with water. On the front panel I added 3 bats from the Halloween Nite set. On the side panels I added a small ghost. To create the "flying" ghosts I glued them to strips of plastic.

The city skyline scene was created using a Mama Elephant Die. To created the pop-up card box I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Card Pop-Up Dies.

My next project is a card. I enlarged Stay Puft in Microsoft Word, and then layered the two Ghostbusters in front of him.

The Greeting Farm Stamp Feature: FA LA LA

Happy Thursday everyone! We are on Day 2 of Stamp Features for the SEPTEMBER Release at The Greeting Farm. This month was another fabulous release with 3 new stamp sets, and several Halloween Digis!

Today, I created a Pop-Up Box Card using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Die to show off these adorable snowmen from the set called FA LA LA. I think they are so stinkin' CUTE!! We all need these fun snowmen in our lives!

 Copics:
Snowmen: BV20, BV31, BV00,C0, Colorless Blender
Pink: RV02, R83, R85
Stripes: R83, R85, G21, G25

The awesome car in the background is a die from SugarPea Designs called Christmas Car. I LOVE it! It even comes with a little Christmas tree, mini ornaments and some presents. But for this pop-up box card I used the tree from The Greeting Farm Fa La La set.

The great thing about these pop-up box cards is that they fold flat for mailing! Pretty awesome, right?

Be sure to head over to The Greeting Farm Store and grab your favorites. You're going to LOVE them all! Remember, we have our Blog Hop going on until the 18th! And please come join The Greeting Farm Fan Page to share you creations. We would love to see them!
