I Am Roses March 2021 Challenge: ANYTHING GOES!

It's The 15th of the month, and we are back with a brand new I Am Roses ANYTHING GOES Challenge! Come play along for a chance at 1 of the 4 prizes up for grabs!

Today, I'm using a digital image from Love Cynthia. It's one of the images from the Christmas Tree Bundle (set of 3). I haven't played with my Love Cynthia digis in a while so I figured since she was already printed I would use her. Although she was originally intended for Christmas, I'm using her for a Birthday card.

The two sheets of decorative paper are from different paper pads, but the colors coordinated so I used them together. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. To finish it off, I added gorgeous flowers from I Am Roses, along with some red ribbon. These flowers really add a dramatic statement to any project!

I Am Roses + Xyron + Love Cynthia

Happy Thursday everyone! Can you believe we are at the end of April already?! I know for some the time is dragging, but I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I feel like it's flying by! It's my turn to post for I Am Roses today, and I decided to do a different color scheme than usual. My hubby LOVES blue so I decided to make this card for him using blue and green. There is no special occasion. I just wanted to give him a card to thank him for being the best hubby ever!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Black: C3, C5, C6, C8, C10
Red: R24, R27, R29, R59
Blue: B02, B04, B05, B06
Green: YG23, YG25, YG67, G28

This adorable image from Love Cynthia is called HEART WORLD, and it's a FREEBIE!  I had these gorgeous blue sprays and flowers from I Am Roses and they fit the card perfectly! They really add a dramatic statement to any project! I used R43 white rose, blue cherry blossoms, small white and blue flowers, and tiny leaves. That blue spray though is my fave!

I recently received a goodie box from Xyron which included the Mega Runner, X150 Sticker Maker, along with refills. This Xyron Bundle is an awesome deal, and....the items are sparkly blue! I LOVE them! The adhesive on the Mega Runner is AMAZING and really sticky! I used it to put all my card layers together.

Remember, you have until MAY 8th to link up your project to the current I Am Roses Challenge. Be sure to use a minimum of 3 I Am Roses products on your card to qualify for a prize. I can't wait to see what you make!

Love Cynthia Stamps: I'm Always Here For You

Happy Saturday everyone! I've fallen in LOVE with these awesome stamps from Love Cynthia! She is an Artist who lives in France, and she creates adorable characters that are perfect for planner pages, cards, scrapbook layouts....pretty much anything and everything crafty!

She is currently running a contest for the month of October with various themes each week. At the end of the month she will pick 2 winners to receive 50 EUROS shop credits!! How awesome is that?! The theme for the 4th and final week is "OH, THANK YOU". This round is all about gratitude, so we needed to create a thank you card for someone.

I decided to make an Easel Card so I would have room for a larger sentiment. This card features a stamp set called I'm Always Here For You! I decided to make a card featuring me and my best friend. She and I have been friends since high school. After graduating we both went separate ways, and at one point lost touch, but then about 7 or 8 years ago we found each other again. It really was like no time had passed. About 5 years ago, I moved to the same state as her, and we now live about 50 minutes from each other. Not close enough if you ask me!!

Copics:
GIRL 1 (on left):
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E15
Brown Hair: E42, E47, E49
Red Collar: R24, R27, R37
Plaid Dress: R27, R39, BG13, BG18
GIRL 2 (on right):
Skin: E11, E13, E15, E18
Orange Heart/Pocket: YR02, YR04, YR09, E19
Plaid Dress: YR04, E19, BG13, BG18

The sentiment underneath the girls is from the same set. The papers are from my stash. The gorgeous paper flowers are from I Am Roses. I used a larger sentiment from Penny Black for the bottom panel.

Be sure to head over to the Love Cynthia Facebook Group and play along if you own some of the stamps. She also shares FREEBIES in the group! Definitely check out the Love Cynthia Store and add some of these adorable sets to your collection. You will LOVE them!

Love Cynthia Stamps: Happy Holidays!

Happy Sunday everyone!

The theme for the 3rd Week is "COLOR IT". This challenge is about sharing how you color your Love Cynthia Stamps.

Since it is a coloring challenge I decided to color all of the images on the Happy Holidays stamp set. And to top it all off, I included a quick tutorial on how I color hair using one of my fave Copic Combos. I stamped all the images on Copic Xpress It Blending Card and of course used my Copic Markers.

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E15
Brown Hair: E43, E77, E49
Black Hair: C3, C7, Black
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39
Green: YG23, YG25, YG17, YG67, G28
White: C1, C2, C3, Colorless Blender
  Brown: E13, E23, E25, E29
Black: C6, C7, C9
Snowman Arms & Antlers: E42. E43, E44
Plaid Scarf: R24, R39, YG23, G28

I used some papers in my stash. The snowy hillside was made using the Lawn Fawn Landscape Stitched Hillside Backdrop Die. The tree die is from Marianne Creatables.

And here is a quick tutorial on how I did the hair on one of the Happy Girls. I first lay down my darkest color. In this case E49. You have to practice those flicks ladies to get the thin line. You use the very tip and hold your pen up high almost like you are flicking only air.
Next I come in with my medium color (E77) and expand the flicks towards the center.

Finally, I come in with my lightest color (E43) and flick again towards the center. I do not come in and just color in the white areas in a circular motion. I keep with the flicks so I don't lose the contrast. If you go too heavy with the light color and lose the darker flicks then just come back in with E77 and add a few more flicks to get some of the contrast back.

Be sure to head over to the Love Cynthia Facebook Group and play along if you own some of the stamps. She also shares FREEBIES in the group! Definitely check out the Love Cynthia Store and add some of these adorable sets to your collection. You will LOVE them!

She is currently running a contest for the month of October with various themes each week. At the end of the month she will pick 2 winners to receive 50 EUROS shop credits!! How awesome is that?! The theme for the 2nd Week is "THINK PINK". For this round you can create anything using Love Cynthia stamps, but add a touch of pink!

I decided to make an Easel Card because I wanted to fit as many of the characters and elements from one of my fave sets called COFFEE ADDICT onto the card.....mission accomplished!!

Love Cynthia Stamps: Make It Happen

Happy Saturday everyone! I've fallen in LOVE with these awesome stamps from Love Cynthia! She is an Artist who lives in France, and she creates adorable characters that are perfect for planner pages, cards, scrapbook layouts....pretty much anything and everything crafty!

She is currently running a contest for the month of October with various themes each week. At the end of the month she will pick 2 winners to receive 50 EUROS shop credits!! How awesome is that?! The theme for the first week is called "I'm A Happy Girl" and the goal is to pick one of her stamps that best represents you.

I love to travel and one of my favorite cities to go on adventures in is New York City! There is so much to see and do there, and of course, the food is AMAZING! When I was little and my dad was in the Army, we would get stationed in Germany a lot. New York is where we always flew out of on our travels overseas so we would always get there a couple days early and do some sightseeing before the plane ride.

I used the girl from the Make It Happen Stamp Set to best represent me in the first challenge of the month. I also used elements from the Don't Quit Your Daydream to created the Polaroid scene. I stamped the Statue of Liberty with Versamark Ink, rubbed green chalk over the image and cut her out. The rest of the scene was stamped and colored with Copics. I used blue chalk to make the sky.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Red: R24, R27, R29, R39
Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
Polaroid Scene: C3, C5, BG72, B97
Taxi Cab: YR21, YR23, C5, C7, C9, R27, Silver Paint Pen

I used some digital papers I found on Etsy called New York City Themed Paper and New York. The sentiments on the Polaroid frame are from 2 older Love Cynthia stamp sets.

Be sure to head over to the Love Cynthia Facebook Group and play along if you own some of the stamps. She also shares FREEBIES in the group! Definitely check out the Love Cynthia Store and add some of these adorable sets to your collection. You will LOVE them!
