TMNT x Transformers Party Wallop, Loyal Subjects BST AXN XL Krang Android Body

There aren't a great deal of posts regarding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on this blog, a property that came into the public consciousness at large in the latter part of the '80s when I had lost interest of such things, moving onto my teen years. That said, these to recent pickups were so toyetic and such fun toys that I decided to post them together- I certainly would have done that as a kid!

I have zero context for the TMNT character Krang, but you don'r really need any with a toy this fun- I got mine on sale for $29.99 online. Regardless of my unfamiliarity, I'd admired this figure from afar for awhile now. He had somewhat limited articulation, but I was able to pose him a bit. In addition to his deluxe 8.5" size, all the attachment accessories really make for a great package. This is my first BST AXN Series figure, and I really like the overall finish of the toy and its clean paint apps.

The figure flips open at the midsection where Krang drives the android body from his cockpit. The tentacles on the steering controls are permanently attached inside, which somewhat ruins the illusion, but they did include extra hinged tentacles for Krang outside the android body.

There are numerous options for display with all the weapon extensions for the figure's wrist ports:

Below, Krang battles my MOTU Masterverse New Eternia Sy-Klone ...!

And finally, the Loyal Subject BST ANX Krang Android with my new Marvel Legends Hulkbuster, MOTU Origins Roboto and MOTU Masterverse Revelation Roboto

Although not a subject of childhood nostalgia, I went through a Transformers period here on the Super-DuperToyBox- they are sentient robots that transform into vehicles, what's not to love?  I grabbed Party Wallop at a great discount online for $34.95 after holding out for awhile.

The face of the alt mode can be used as a shield or worn on the chest in robot mode,
the nose of which is a pizza on the flip side- how much fun is that?!

All of the weapons and interchangeable foreheads can be stowed on the figure:

By switching the head and weapon accessories, and a turn of the belt buckle for the corresponding initial, all four of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are represented! The all-in-one aspect of this toy really makes it fun!

Party Wallop's alt mode, the Party Wagon, is a thing of beauty, capturing all the important details in a satisfying, tight transformation that holds all the extra accessories...

Below, Party Wallop with my Earthrise Optimus Prime and Robots in Disguise Drift...

And finally, Party Wallop busts Krang in Raphael mode! These are two fantastic toys any TMNT fan would love- I am having a ball posing them and admiring them on my shelf- Recommended!

Transformers War For Cybertron Earthrise Optimus Prime & Cliffjumper

I'm glad I didn't pick up the recent Siege Optimus Prime after it dropped, a figure that made me stop & look more than twice. But when I saw this Earthrise Prime with the trailer show up, I knew it was my chance to own a truly complete G1 representation without spending a fortune. I also picked up the new Earthrise Cliffjumper for a discounted price while I was at it. Check out the video:

I've said before the 2015 was really my Transformers year, it's hard not to like what Hasbro/Takara Tomy have been putting out lately. The figures are great, if a little on the small side. "Leader Class" Optimus is a hair under 7", while "Deluxe Class" Cliffjumper measures in around 4". Still, their articulation is serviceable, and the vehicle modes on these two look great.

The Combiner Wars Megatron I recently reviewed makes a cameo in the video above. Both he and Earthrise Optimus are "Leader Class", so it seems Hasbro is doing some general downsizing in the last five years. For the record, I may or may not have paid more for a larger Optimus.

Despite his somewhat underwhelming size, Earthrise Optimus is a great figure! I love the Matrix of Leadership stashed in his window panels, and the truck mode and trailer hit all the right G1 notes. While the trailer won't stow most cars in this series, Cliffjumper can drive right in!

Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Starscream

My "Transformers phase" of 2015 lasted only four months, so by the time this Generations Leader Class Starscream arrived, I'd already moved onto other things. I caught up with one on the secondary market recently, drawn back by his cool jet mode, and fantastic crown atop his very G1 head. The crown is an homage to the "Coronation of Starscream", when the Decepticon crowned himself leader during the Battle for Autobot City, thinking Megatron was dead. Cyclonus and Galvatron arrive on the scene and promptly destroy him for this insurrection! Check Out the video:

Starcream shares some parts with my Combiner Wars Jetfire, my favorite Transformer, but is different enough to complement him as a pair in both robot and jet mode. I love their color schemes and their opening canopies really make the jet mode fun!

Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Megatron

I've said before that 2015 was my Transformers year, but I'm always looking at what's out there, and had a few saved back from when I got into them, including this Generations Combiner Wars Megatron. This Leader Class Transformer in 9" tall, covered in beautiful silver paint, that turns into a huge tank with rolling rubber treads and missile firing turret! Check out the video:

Transformers Robots in Disguise Stormshot

2015 was my Transformers year- I wrote several posts with videos, and collected a few I've yet to show you. I liked this little jet from the recent Combiner Force series too much to pass on him however, in his red, white, and blue, and perfect little G1 face. The Robots in Disguise series are simple, but I have a couple other Warrior Class bots I love. Backtrack and see my post on Bumblebee and Autobot Drift! Check out the video:
.

Another reason I picked up Stormshot was that I thought he'd fit in well with some of my other Transformers, namely the Generations Leader Class Jetfire. Though Stormshot is somewhat lowly next to the superior Jetfire, their complementary color schemes, silver faces, and winged backs make them a fun pair!

TAKARA Transformers Henkei Classic C-05 Hot Rodimus

I can't believe June was my last Transformers video, but winning this Takara Rodimus on eBay for only $22.50 shipped was reason enough to resume my latest obsession with the subject. I love the packaging on this import, with TRANSFORMERS in raised lettering down the side of the bubble. Rodimus has slightly less articulation than the recent Hasbro Transformers I'd bought, and he's smaller than a lot of them, but he's stunningly beautiful with his vac-metal blown engine and spoiler, and he has light piping through his eyes. Check out the video:

From  2008 to 2009, Takara Tomy released these redecorated Japanese versions of their American counterparts, vac-metal parts often used as tribute to the original G1 Transformers. This deluxe figure was first released in Hasbro's Classics line, and later on in a couple multi-packs, according to TF Wiki. He came with a collector card, in Japanese like the packaging which I treasure! I'd been in search of a decent Rodimus, and there is a lot out there, all popular with collectors and some quite expensive. I'd still like to have a "convoy" version with the trailer/mobile defense bay, but this one will certainly do!

Transformers Prime Dark Energon Bumblebee & Wheeljack

I discovered these Dark Energon Autobots after watching the Transformers Prime show on Netflix, which I absolutely loved! I'm already a fan of translucent plastic on toys in general, and inspired by the show, I found these BBTS exclusives for a decent price online. Two of my favorite characters from the show! Check out the video:

Transformers Generations Crosscut & Nightbeat

Back to my newest obsession- Transformers! These two Generations Autobots have a lot going for them, including car modes I'm into! Crosscut has the snazziest car and better weaponry, but Nightbeat has a better articulated robot mode and flashier G1 colors. Check out the video to see a lot more:

Because I love Transformers with doors that wing at the shoulders in robot mode, I may be more partial to Nightbeat. Crosscut has limited articulation in the ankles that make posing somewhat of a challenge, but his flip-out forearm cannons are trick, and as I said before, his car mode is wonderful. These aren't necessarily star players among my burgeoning collection, but they are fun. Again, check out my video, complete with music and G1 sound effects- subscribe to my YouTube channel and show your support!
