Bostyn Turns 1!!!

Today is Bostyn's first birthday! I often thought I would never see the day. With all the highs and lows of adapting to parenthood we experienced, it seemed like time was crawling. Now looking back, the last year really did go quick. Bostyn took her first solo steps at 9 months and 3 weeks and progressed from there. She has officially been walking for nearly 2 months now. She still has not had a single tooth come in! (Her doctor assures me she WILL get teeth). Her gummy smile is so cute and a little goofy with the missing teeth. Her eyes are still blue but they are starting to get a green tint to them so I think she will eventually have green eyes like her Mom and Dad. She had her 12 month check up today weighing in at 18.5 lbs (11th %) and measured 29.5 inches tall (65th %). She has been right around those percentiles since birth so I guess though uneven, she is consistent! She got to stand on the scale for the first time instead of laying in the baby scale. She was given 4 shots and was once again quite the trooper smiling at the nurse when she was done giving the shots. Bostyn is a very fun and happy little girl who's favorite time of the day is when Daddy comes home. She is very used to and content playing with her toys and wandering around by herself and gets a little overwhelmed by too much attention. I think she will be grateful when the new baby comes to take some of the excess attention. She is the least picky eater I have ever met and I hope she stays that way. I have yet to find something she won't eat. Her favorites are yogurt, ice cream, and all types of veggies. We are so blessed to have her and experience the joys of being parents. Bostyn's Birthday Party!

This past Saturday we celebrated Bostyn's first birthday. It was a week early but we had to have the party when all the family could make it. We happened to be spending the weekend at the McBride's watching their kids while they were out of town, so we were able to have the party there. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make it such a fun party!

The kids had fun playing on the waterslide and swimming.




I made a giant cupcake for Bostyn's Birthday cake. So cute.

Everyone else got to enjoy regular sized cupcakes.

Bostyn got a lot of great toys and clothes. Thank you everyone for the gifts!
