4 Months

Cannon is 4 months old! Time is sure going by a lot faster with him than it did with Bostyn. I'm sure it's because he is a much easier baby than she ever was! ;) He weighs 13lbs. 6 oz (17th %), and is 25.4 in. long (65th %). He is happy and healthy. The doctor was slightly concerned that he is not gaining weight as steadily as before so he is having me feed him lots of rice cereal to help fatten him up. He still wakes up every 2-3 hours all night long to eat, so sleep is just a distant memory for me. I'm happy to do it if it keeps him happy and healthy though! He just started rolling from his stomach to his back and loves to smile and giggle. He is really starting to enjoy Bostyn talking to him and playing with him. He is a keeper for sure!

We made a quick trip to Show Low this weekend for Derek's work. We had some time to kill so we tried a movie at the theater. We watched "UP". Cannon was glued to the screen from the start but our little Bostyn has some attention issues. We only lasted about a third of the way through till we had to leave so everyone else in the theater could enjoy the movie. From what I saw, it was a really cute and entertaining movie. I love the little wilderness explorer boy. After the movie, we headed to visit my good friend Dairy Queen! There we enjoyed some yummy treats then headed to Pine for the rest of the weekend.

The Daddy

A quick shout out to a great father.

Derek's most special Daddy qualities:

Patience & Desire to teach our children. He is always takes time with Bostyn to teach her all sorts of important things. She would not be such a smart little peanut if not for his patience and persistence.

Provider. I am so lucky that Derek is willing to work so hard everyday so that we have everything we need and I am able to stay home and raise my babies.

Strong Testimony. He has allowed the priesthood to be in our home and I am so grateful for the blessings that brings us.

Loves his wife. I once read in a parenting book that the greatest gift you can give your children is to show them how much their parents love each other. Derek shows me and the kids how much he loves us every day!

Happy Father's Day to All the special Dad's out there!

S'more Summer Fun!

We had a super fun get-together with my friend Monica the other night. She has he cutest little twins, a boy and girl. We ate yummy food and swam in their giant blow up water slide pool with the kiddos. Bostyn LOVED the water slide. The girl is fearless. She would slide down and end up going all the way under the water a lot of the time and it didn't bother her a bit.

After wards, Kali a.k.a. Fire Master, got a fire going so we could make s'mores. Believe it or not, this was Kali's FIRST time ever making s'mores and roasting marshmallows! Apparently it is not a common activity in Fiji.

The Hat Lady

Bostyn loves hats. She will notice one sitting somewhere, casually put it on, and go about doing what ever it was she was doing. Silly.

Summer Kick Off

We have been having lots of fun this summer! We recently spent time, once again, at the cabin in Pine for the annual Roger's Family Reunion (Derek's Mom's side). We had a lot of fun! I didn't get any pictures because I was holding one child and chasing after the other the entire time! I decided I need a hands free camera. Maybe sunglasses with a voice activated camera built in!

We have also done a lot of swimming. It's definitely not as relaxing having to hold two children at a time but refreshing none the less.

Happy boy!

Bostyn thinks she needs to be everywhere Cannon is.

Cute matching cousins

Cannon sunbathing-not really, I just stuck him there for a picture :)

This is the face she makes when I say, "Cheese!"

Too CUTE!
