A Moment to Brag Please...

So, Derek decided to surprise me for our 3rd anniversary 3 weeks early! We started the event with a hotel stay in Mesa, kids and all. Bostyn jumped on on the huge bed, sprawled out, and woudn't let anyone on it! She thinks she's some sort of royalty or something! The next day, we dropped the kids off to be babysat and headed to......


That's right folks, an hour long massage for two in the "couples" room! Very romantic and oh so blissful. After that, we made a pit stop at the sitter's to feed Cannon, then headed to my favorite eatery...


It was of course delicious. Derek had planned for us to see a movie as well, but it was too difficult with a nursing baby. So, we settled for renting a movie and watching it at home. It was all perfect. I had my special man all to myself for a whole day in the middle of the week. Derek did an awesome job planning everything and keeping it all a surprise. I am one lucky lady. He did manage to throw a little something in for himself...

2 Months

Cannon is 2 months old today!. I took him in for his check up today. He weighed 11lbs. 15oz. (56th%). He is 23" long (52nd%) and his head is 15 in. (36th%). So overall he is one average kid!

Cannon is smiling, cooing, and even lets out a little giggle once in a while. He has discovered his hands and sure loves chewing on them and grabbing at things. He still wakes up a couple times a night to eat but has his days and nights in order so it's all good. He is such a good baby and we love every bit of him.

Easter: Blessings

We celebrated Easter this year with the annual breakfast feast and egg hunt with Derek's extended family the Saturday before. Bostyn absolutely loved looking for the eggs. On Easter morning we woke her up so she could see what the Easter Bunny brought her. She was so excited for all the candy and gifts! It was too fun to see her eyes light up!

Ready for Church!

We blessed Cannon two Sundays before Easter on March 29th. He was just over 4 weeks old. Derek gave him a beautiful blessing and Cannon was a perfect angel the whole day. He is such a good baby. My Sister had a baby boy in November and my brother had a baby girl in February exactly 3 weeks before Cannon was born. Since our parents live out of state, we decided to bless all 3 of them on the same Sunday! We all live in the same area so Krew was blessed in his ward at 8am, Maylee was blessed in her ward at 10am, and Cannon was blessed in our ward at 12pm. It was one long day of church, but such a neat and special day.

Joy in Spring

Our computer crashed a few weeks ago, so I have been without. We have one on loan now so I will finally be able to catch up on the ol' blog! Below is a plethora of pictures taken during the past few weeks.

We took a trip to the zoo, had some family get togethers, blessed Cannon, and enjoyed some outdoor time. All the stuff Spring is made of!
