My Husband, The Pilot

Most people know that Derek's one true addiction is flying RC Airplanes. I love that he has a hobby that he enjoys and today Bostyn and I showed our support by attending an RC airshow with him. The weather was great aside from some humidity. We saw a lot of great tricks and talent and enjoyed the company of Derek's brother JD and his fabulous family. I forgot to take pictures while we were there so I snapped a few when we got home. Derek was itching to fly and the neighborhood boys were looking for a show!


I scored this Oh So Perfect clock for the new baby's room at my sister in laws family give away today! (among other great things...this one was just fitting to the post)

Fun at the Park

We had a super fun day at the park! Bostyn's Aunt Heather invited us to go to a really great park in Chandler with her and baby Colton. Bostyn had the time of her life. The girl is fearless. She loves the big kid slides, the swings and the rocking springy toys. Most of all she just enoyed all the freedom and open space to run around. I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the different play areas at the park. It really was a fantastic place.

Never Too Young For Good Hygiene

I was talking to my mom on the phone sitting on my bed. Bostyn was on the floor playing in the nightstand drawer. She pulled out a "soothie stick", which is a stick of baby balm used to soothe dry skin. As you can see from the picture, it closely resembles a miniature stick of deodorant. So why was I surprised when Bostyn suddenly lifted her shirt with her left hand and began applying the soothie stick to her armpit with her right hand! It was one of the funniest, cutest things I have ever seen. It was a nice reminder that our little ones are ALWAYS watching us!

A Day in the Life of a "Shiny, Poofy Dress"

Yes, this post is late...but could not be left out.

On the Sunday before Christmas, we dressed Bostyn in her fancy dress. We made sure to take full advantage of the festive outfit by keeping her in it all day!


Just before we headed off to church we took a couple shots of Bostyn in the front yard. We set her in the sun to get the "shiny" to show, but her eyes were not cooperating, so into the shade we went.





After Church we headed to my sister's for a dinner and Cousin gift exchange. The kids had fun playing and opening their gifts from each other.

From there, we rushed to Derek's parent's house for a quick photo shoot with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

She was very unsure of the whole thing! She loved Mrs. Claus...Santa, not so much! So on Mrs. Claus' lap she sat.
