The overall dimensions are 15 inches by 12 inches and 2 inches in height. All the wood was recycled from old projects.
Clamps are your friend while working with wood.
Cutting the "stone blocks for the dugout - they're brought .75 inches square on the ends and 1.5 inches long.
I love my Proxxon hate wire cutter!
Test fit with minis and game materials
The lattice for the turn counters and scoring was a bit of a pain to make
I'm not happy with the colors and will redo them
Tet fitting the blocks without glue
All glued down and ground material applied
First coat of grey paint. I used three coats of a water down cheap craft acrylic paint and then dry brushed white.
Some of the interior details. The chalkboard was a lot of fun
and the finished product!
This blog will will contain my rather pedantic ramblings on my experiences within the miniature war gaming hobby. There will be informative how-to’s, thrilling battle reports and thought provoking editorials. I fully expect that history will one day view the contents of this blog on par with Homer’s Illiad or Newton’s Principalia. Or it's a complete waste of time.

Blood Bowl Travel Case
For the "Home" themed terrain bonus round in this year's Challenge, I decided to make a combination carry case and player board for Blood Bowl. I'll do a "how it was made post" in a few days.
The board is 12 x 15 inches in foot print. The op is dived into two sections a "dugout" for keeping track of player status and 4 game status trackers - Score, 1H turns, 2H turns and re-rolls.
I'll replace the pastel colors for the numbers when I get some better printer cartridges.
The game status trackers pops off to reveal the storage for a full Blood Bowl Team plus its related cards and dice. I've ordered some no slip material to line the player slots.
Some close up of the dugout - first the space to hold reserve players complete with state of the art chalk board to study crafty plays.
Next is the Injured player area - these figures have a chance to return to the action and will likely do so given the wonderful medical equipment at their disposal.
and, lastly the space for player who are out for the game or have been killed. Why on earth is there a creepy hot dog making machine in this room?
Oh, I see - waster not, want nor....
A shot of the dugout from the other side - those benches look mighty comfy
Some pictures with players to give a bit of scale
Well there you have it. It went with a neutral theme for the dugout so it can be used for various teams.

Orc Blood Bowl Team
Meet the Black Hills Titans, my Orc Blood Bowl team. The team colors are loosely based on the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. I don't really follow the Titans, but thought the uniforms and back hills of Tennessee are sufficiently "Orky". These are the 12 plastic figures you get in the box set (along with a human team).
These are part of a giant post from the Challenge which I'll break up here for ease.
Two Black Orcs
Two Throwers
Two Blitzers - I still need to work on the plume - the bright yellow makes them easy to ID but I want to add some orange to make them look like flames.
and six line men. All of the numbering and base labels are drawn by hand - I like the slashes for numbers rather than arabic numerals and the labels came out very "Orky".
The Orcs are 3-3 vs their human openers from the Holiday season.
