Lord Knightmon was one of the two Royal Knights serving Lucemon. He was only really helping Lucemon because he promised to give him and Dynasmon the key to the human world, where they would rule supreme. He commonly fought against Magna Garurumon in their struggles against the Chosen Children.
During their last battle against the Chosen Children, Lord Knightmon and Dynasmon were weakened because Lord Knightmon began doubting Lucemon. As a result they were defeated by Kaiser Greymon and Magna Garurumon, and their Digicode was exposed. They cried out to Lucemon to help them, but he betrayed them, scanning them to evolve into Lucemon: Falldown Mode.

Lord Knightmon makes a cameo in the title page of Episode 1 alongside the rest of the Royal Knights.
Lord Knightmon makes a proper appearance in Episode 3. In "Lord Knightmon", Dynasmon and Wanyamon found Lord Knightmon exercising on a stationary bicycle. Wanyamon asked him for his autograph but he refused as he made it a point to never waste energy on things from which he had nothing to gain, but rather to invest in himself, as he wanted Yggdrasill to recognize him as the greatest Ultimate of all. Dynasmon thought he had a seriously career-driven outlook. Far from giving up, in "Trade for an Autograph", Wanyamon offered to trade a bag for Lord Knightmon's autograph. Dynasmon explained it was Wanyamon's treasure. However, the bag only contained acorns which were worthless to Lord Knightmon. Wanyamon then gave him a bunch of roly-polies which he hated. Then, in "Monster", an angered Lord Knightmon told Wanyamon to leave as he despised children. Dynasmon asked him for an explanation and he enumerated they were always covered in filth, had no table manners, were quick to cry, and their faces were always dripping with drool and snot, making them the most terrifying creatures in existence. Wanyamon took it as a compliment which made him happy, which Lord Knightmon added as another reason to hate children. He then pointed out how thankful he was to not have been born a child and Dynasmon chastised him for rewriting his own history. Finally, in "Say Something Sooner", Wanyamon rode on Lord Knightmon's head and asked him to play with him, which annoyed Lord Knightmon. Wanyamon then realized he had to poop, so Lord Knightmon pushed him off his head, but it was too late as he had already pooped over the Royal Knight's head. Lord Knightmon then offered Wanyamon his autograph in exchange for him finally leaving.

Kamishiro offers to fund the expensive service of siphoning off Mishima Erika's excess memories to EDEN, keeping her alive, but Rie uses the threat of pulling funding to keep Ryuji in line.
Eventually, Erika and Amasawa Keisuke discover this, which leads to them hacking into her server to find information on her. When Rie finds out about their infiltration, she decides they are loose ends and attacks them, as Lord Knightmon. Before Keisuke can deal the finishing blow, Lord Knightmon flees, only for her to freak out when there are police waiting for her, as Erika had tipped them off before arriving. Rie flees to the roof, only for Keisuke, Erika and the police to arrive at the roof. Erika and Rie get into a fistfight. Eventually, Rie throws herself off the roof, stating her time as Rie is done, with Matayoshi Gorō yelling for them to get an ambulance. Her body is never found, though Erika assumes she is still alive.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
Lord Knightmon is one of the Royal Knights. Yggdrasill sends Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan to find them and get them to their rendezvous point in Central Town in the side mission "Royal Knights, Assemble!".
After rejoining the rest of the Royal Knights, in the side mission "The Beautiful Knight Corps", Dynasmon asks the Agent to look for Lord Knightmon, who should've arrived as well but didn't and was currently involved in an investigation in Akihabara. The Agent found Lord Knightmon in a back alley, where he was ashamed of his failure, caused by his Knight Corps suddenly stopping obeying orders. As they had gone out of control, he locked them inside an Outer Dungeon. While he believed that them, like himself and the Agent's soul, were beautiful, he didn't know for how much longer they could be controlled. Sleipmon showed up soon after and offered his aid. He then asked for the Agent's own, as there were too many knights for them to take on alone. After the Agent questioned why Sleipmon was back in the Real World and he confessed he still had a restaurant left to check, he explained the Knight Corps must have glitched out because of the firewall of the world and the only way to stop them would be to kill them and let them be reborn, which Lord Knightmon knew but didn't want to accept.
After entering the Outer Dungeon where Lord Knightmon's subordinates were locked in, the trio were immediately attacked by the Knight Corps, composed of nine Knightmon and a Wolfmon. The Knightmon fought them first in three groups of three. After defeating them, Sleipmon pointed out how only Wolfmon was there but he seemed different from the others. Lord Knightmon explained he was one of the most noble knights in the corps. During all the fights, Lord Knightmon can use normal attacks, Spiral Masquerade and Urgent Fear. After the fight, Lord Knightmon mourned his fallen allies and both Royal Knights left for the rendezvous point.
However, after Lord Knightmon's arrival, they soon started quarreling, with Dynasmon criticizing Lord Knightmon taking an army with him and falling behind in his swordsmasnship in comparison to said army, considering he needed the Agent's help to defeat them. Lord Knightmon argued he could've done it on his own and merely accepted the Agent's help, but regardless, to prove his swordsmanship, he asked the Agent to bring Grademon to him, though he had no idea where Grademon even was. Behind Lord Knightmon's back, Dynasmon told the Agent Grademon was competing in the High-Rise Colosseum and sent the Agent to defeat Grademon before he fought Lord Knightmon, as the side mission "A Display of Beautiful Swordplay". However, the Agent instead told Lord Knightmon, who quickly left for the Colosseum. After he did so, Dynasmon asked the Agent if he had been too harsh on Lord Knightmon. He had merely wanted to stop his ally's recklessness but made the situation worse instead, so he asked the Agent to pursue Lord Knightmon and make him keep a cool head.
Grademon refused to fight Lord Knightmon, finding no reason could justify fighting someone of such high position. Lord Knightmon didn't know how to settle the situation, so the Agent told him they had already defeated Grademon in the past in the round "The True Twentiest" in the Greatest Omega Carnival. While Lord Knightmon was annoyed at Grademon, he couldn't go against a code of chivalry so he decided to fight the Agent instead as the "Beauty Solo" round of the Greatest Omega Carnival.
Lord Knightmon is the final boss of the side mission "A Display of Beautiful Swordplay" as well as part of the side mission "Greatest Omega Carnival". Other than normal attacks, he can use Spiral Masquerade. He is weak to Electricity and Darkness, and resists Steel.
After the fight, Lord Knightmon acknowledged the Agent's strength but also pointed out it was still unclear who was stronger between Grademon and himself. Nonetheless, he was satisfied with the result and went back to the rendezvous point to make peace with Dynasmon.
All 13 Royal Knights showed up in an Outer Dungeon to save the Agent and Sagisaka Hiroko from Mugendramon in the side mission "An Odd Letter". Omegamon explained they had felt an enormous power and rushed to their aid, though they couldn't all fight in such a small space so they allowed the Agent to choose who'd help them.
All the Royal Knights showed up to fight Chronomon, destroying his Kotowari no Kyozetsu barrier with a barrage of their signature moves, then left. This was necessary, as said barrier could not be broken by anyone who lived under the rules of Iliad, but the Royal Knights were from another world and the situation was desperate enough to allow them to interfere with the natural order of Iliad.
Unlike most of its appearances, Lord Knightmon uses its original name in the English version (spelled as "LordKnightmon") rather its usual dub name(s).
Lord Knightmon is also an obtainable Digimon. It evolves from Crescemon or Knightmon.
