A Holy Knight Digimon which is one of the Digital World's guardians, the "Royal Knights". While most of the Royal Knights are Human Digimon, it has a bestial silhouette which could be called bizarre. Its whole body is clad in an armor of the "Red Digizoid" which boasts great defensive power, so even Ultimate Digimon are unlikely to be able to easily damage Sleipmon. Its six legs possess unsurpassed mobility, and it is capable of instantaneous, high-speed movements that its thick build would not suggest. Sleipmon acts as a guardian of the super-ancient ruins which sleep below the thick ice of the Digital World's north pole, since it is said that essential program data which concerns the creation of Digimon is sealed within these ruins. Its Special Moves are incandescent arrows of light fired from the sacred crossbow Múspellsheimr held in its left hand (Bifröst), and using the sacred shield Niflheimr in its right hand to lower the temperature of its climate and generate a blizzard (Odin's Breath).

Satsuma Rentarou's Kudamon evolved into Sleipmon to save Daimon Masaru and his friends from the other Royal Knights. However, during their escape, Dukemon hit Sleipmon with Final Elysium, injuring him. Back in the Real World, Dukemon returned to attack them, and not even Shine Greymon and the Geo Grey Sword could defeat him. Kudamon evolved into Sleipmon, protecting the group once again and attacking Dukemon with Odin's Breath. The resulting explosion cleared, with no sign of either Royal Knight.

Manga[edit]

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]

Sleipmon is mentioned by Duftmon in "Xros Wars!! The Prologue to the End!!" as one of the Royal Knights that couldn't join the main front of the final battle against the Bagra Army, as he was in another Zone suppressing large factions of said army. He does appear in the Volume 4 extras, alongside the rest of the Royal Knights.

Hiragana Digimon: A Tale of the Royal Knights[edit]

Sleipmon makes a cameo in the title page of Episode 1 alongside the rest of the Royal Knights.

Sleipmon makes a proper appearance in Episode 3. Upon seeing Sleipmon in "Sleipmon", Dynasmon pointed out he had six legs like an insect, which Wanyamon loved to collect. Sleipmon didn't enjoy the comparison, however, and explained he was the guardian of the northern ruins. Dynasmon pointed out he had eight limbs including his arms and thus was more like a spider, which Wanyamon hated so he tried to hit him with bug spray. Once again, Sleipmon was angered by the comparison to an insect. Then, in "Speaking of Forests", Wanyamon asked Sleipmon where the northern ruins were. Sleipmon explained they were deep in the forest, beneath a thick layer of ice, with a sacred secret resting down below according to Yggdrasill. Wanyamon excitedly wondered if that was a holy beetle but Dynasmon rejected the idea. This caused Wanyamon to want to go catch beetles. Dynasmon blamed Sleipmon for awakening Wanyamon's bug-collecting urges, which annoyed Sleipmon. Afterwards, in "A Beetle Appears", Gran Kuwagamon arrived and demanded Sleipmon tell him about the secret in the ruins. In response, Sleipmon told him he wouldn't let anyone near the ruins and defeated and froze him with a single Odin's Breath. Finally, in "Bright Idea", Sleipmon disagreed with Dynasmon tricking Gran Kuwagamon into getting slowed down by Examon.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

Sleipmon is one of the Royal Knights. Yggdrasill sends Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan to find them and get them to their rendezvous point in Central Town in the side mission "Royal Knights, Assemble!".

Shiroki Asuna and Dr. Monica Simmons asked the Agent for their help in capturing an unidentified flying object which moved at very high speeds in the side mission "Blink and You'll Miss It". Said UFO turned out to be Sleipmon, who crashed into Asuna at the ramen shop in Akihabara. This angered him as it stopped his restaurant tour, which made Asuna realize that his speeding was entirely for food. Sleipmon thought there could be no other reason and boasted that he could visit dozens of resturants in a single day. While Dr. Simmons praised his choice of restaurants, Asuna doubted he could taste anything eating so fast. Regardless, Sleipmon wanted to punish them for interrupting his routine.

Sleipmon is the boss of the side mission "Blink and You'll Miss It". Other than normal attacks, he can use Bifrost and Odin's Breath. He is weak to Electricity and resists Fire.

After being defeated, Sleipmon praised the group's strength as they were capable of standing against a Royal Knight. After learning Asuna and Simmons were ex-public safety and a genius, he wondered if they were friends of Yggdrasill. He then asked them where he was supposed to be, having forgotten about his mission after being sidetracked with food. That said, said personal mission strengthened his belief in protecting the world. As such, he stopped his restaurant tour and headed to the rendezvous point.

However, Sleipmon went back to the Real World afterwards as he still had a restaurant left to check. During that trip, in the side mission "The Beautiful Knight Corps", he offered Lord Knightmon his aid in stopping his rogue Knight Corps, as well as asking the Agent to help as well. After that, he explained the Knight Corps must have glitched out because of the firewall of the world and the only way to stop them would be to kill them and let them be reborn, which Lord Knightmon knew but didn't want to accept.

After entering the Outer Dungeon where Lord Knightmon's subordinates were locked in, the trio were immediately attacked by the Knight Corps, composed of nine Knightmon and a Wolfmon. The Knightmon fought them first in three groups of three. After defeating them, Sleipmon pointed out how only Wolfmon was there but he seemed different from the others. Lord Knightmon explained he was one of the most noble knights in the corps. During all the fights, Sleipmon can use normal attacks, Shine Burst III and Odin's Breath. After the fight, Lord Knightmon mourned his fallen allies and both Royal Knights left for the rendezvous point.
