I loved the tension between Emmy and Maverick from the get go and it was delicious when that finally bubbled over. Their love story was sweet with a small dash of spicy and their banter was top notch!
The banter between all the friends was also great. I’m a sucker for a group text thread and all the ones featured had me giggling. The friendships were strong and hilarious and I can’t wait to see more of the team in future books!
I’d highly recommend this if you love a sweet sports romance with no third act breakup!...more

This series reminded me of a softer Nora Roberts style story and she’s one of my auto-buy authors so I love when I find something similar.
I was always curious about Lora and Xander from the very beginning because there was just so much angst and drama surrounding them. My heart broke for both when it was finally revealed why they broke up the first time but it led to a beautiful rekindling of their relationship.
I’m not sure how I felt about the ending which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. It was just over so quickly and seemed so easy. I do love the short burst of camaraderie between the covens.
I appreciated the epilogue though. It was a nice touch after everything and gave us a glimpse into everyone’s future HEA.
Overall this series was romantic and magical with a heavy emphasis on family and love and I would highly recommend it to magic and witch lovers! ...more
Captivating story with a host of supernatural characters
This had me intrigued from start to finish! I loved the all the characters and that it was a Captivating story with a host of supernatural characters
This had me intrigued from start to finish! I loved the all the characters and that it was a varied mix of supernaturals and not just the regular tried and true types.
I liked that we got a fast burn fated mates story between Hazel and Alaric and I liked their dynamic together. They were also deliciously spicy together too!
The author did a really good job of fleshing out the side characters as well and making me want to jump straight into their books next!...more

The spice was top notch and the storyline was great. I enjoyed all the secrets that were unlocked. Especially Rune’s! I can’t wait to learn more about him and what his story is.
If you sweet, mildly dark paranormal MM romance then I highly recommend this book! It was short but action-packed and so so good!!...more
Dare I say I enjoyed this even more than the first book?! I felt so bad for Breena when her cousin spilled the beans about her crush in the last book Dare I say I enjoyed this even more than the first book?! I felt so bad for Breena when her cousin spilled the beans about her crush in the last book but it really came to a head at the beginning of Cauldrons Call and it was totally swoony!
Giles was absolutely perfect for quiet loner Breena. His soft, caring, protective nature really helped her come out of her shell and blossom. Giles also had a really lovely brotherhood relationship with Xander going and it was nice to see both of them act vulnerable and real with each other.
The romance and spice were both very sweet and made a nice balance to the dark nature of the mystery running behind the plot. I cannot wait for this villain to meet his end because he got a few good hits in this time around and it made me so frustrated!
From the few scenes and snippets we got with Lorelai and Xander, book 3 is going to be explosive as all get out and I for one cannot freaking wait!! Xander especially played a fairly significant but accidental part in this book and I imagine the villain is going to come hard for him in book 3.
All in all, it felt amazing to be return to Salem and Hallows End and I’m happy for our newest witchy couple! If you love unrequited love, friends to lovers, magic, intrigue and family, this book is perfect for you!!...more

I really wasn’t sure where I was goHistorical romance is not my usual but the premise of the book pulled me in and I’m on a big ghost kick right now. I really wasn’t sure where I was going to end up rating this book as I was reading it. The story kept me just intrigued and interested enough to keep reading because I wanted to know what happened next but I also found it very convoluted and frustrating at times.
There was a lot of different parts and sections to the story and I struggled to follow along. Maggie’s thought process was wild at times and it felt like being in the mind of someone with ADHD. It seemed like she was determined to make her life harder for herself without realising or meaning to. I did enjoy the relationship she had with Leo though. It was very sweet and precious.
The relationship between Maggie and Gershom was also very sweet which is why I was so mad when he believed the Ogresses lies and instantly fell out of love with Maggie. I shouldn’t be surprised though as he was a man in the 1800’s haha
I guess the things that eventually turned me around to giving it more than 3 stars is that there was a HEA in the end. I liked the way the LaFontaine’s were able to help Maggie in the asylum, how they welcomed Terrance, I enjoyed the revenge on Nurse Stoddard, and Bella was a lovely addition to the cast. It seemed a little convenient that Mr Carnegie had all the answers before he’d even officially met Gershom but it all worked out in the end.
I think if you enjoy ghosts, mysteries and historical romance then this book is the perfect choice for you. ...more

I loved all the friendly small-town vibes and the relationships between everyone. It felt like one big happy family almost. The love between Luna and Wolfe was precious. Definitely fast burn but they did have that shared history that helped.
The inclusion of Rose’s ghost and the mystery that went with it was fun! I loved that she saved the day so many times. Such a wild twist finding out who DP was in the end!
I’m not sure if it was because of what happened to the garage or a couple of other scenes here and there but it felt like there was some other mystery going on. Maybe it’s because I’ve been reading too many romantic suspense books or maybe we’ll find out more in book 2! ...more
