The beginning was a little slow for me but it picked up fairly quickly and I ended up listening to the audiobook at 2x speed so I could consume it faster and d figure out what’s going to happen. Of course the way my jaw dropped when it ended the way it did probably looked highly amusing to anyone looking at me (I was at the mall haha)
I absolutely cannot wait to see where Thea takes this story next!...more

It also felt like there wasn’t an original bone in the entire body of work. It was giving awful, watered down versions of Twilight, Legacies, Teen Wolf and Ruthless Boys. I considered continuing the series and then decided spoiling it in reddit was a better use of my time ...more

I liked Kyan and Naomi together. Them getting high together was pretty damn cute. I have to admit I struggled with Kyan’s character at first, he almost came off as someone on the autism spectrum, so my brain couldn’t relate but I think that’s why they worked so well as a couple, they seemed to balance each other out. Naomi, and also maybe little Hudson, helped Kyan open himself up and be more vulnerable.
I hated that the family were at odds with each other for a lot of the book ...more
This was so sweet and adorable that I absolutely zipped through it. I enjoyed Zev, Charlie and Nia’s little family so much!
Zev was an adorkable mess This was so sweet and adorable that I absolutely zipped through it. I enjoyed Zev, Charlie and Nia’s little family so much!
Zev was an adorkable mess and it made him so endearing. He was clearly all in with Charlie from the start and it showed in his actions. I loved that slid into each others DMs and communicated via music and song choices. Music is so highly subjective and it was a really sweet, unique way for them to connect.
I loved how Zev was with Nia too. He was clearly nervous as all get out but they clearly bonded and he did his absolute best by her.
The conflict made me want to crawl into the book and smack certain white men in the face but thankfully it was resolved fairly quickly! I’m definitely intrigued to see if there will be any repercussions for what happened in the next book but I guess we’ll have to wait and see! Thankfully even though there was conflict, there was no third act break up and this family is as strong as ever.
We got a sneaky glimpse into what’s coming next for Kyan’s book and I am 9000% intrigued!!
Overall this was just a really wholesome small town story and definitely makes me want my own dragon mate ...more
Oh gosh I loved this!! As soon as Ivy put the image of Milo being a big nerdy golden retriever Chris Evans lookalike out there, I was sunk.

For some reason, I struggled to stay hooked and kept getting distracted by real life and social media posts whereas I devoured the previous books.
I hated that after 6 books of drama and high angst, everything was over and wrapped up in just a few paragraphs. I also wish we would have gotten more info in the epilogue, perhaps more POVs or just more details, instead of an epilogue that was less than two pages and really didn’t tell us much about everyone’s lives after the war.
The spice in this book was top notch though! J Bree really went all out and wrote some fantastic smut.
Overall it wasn’t 5 stars for me but it was certainly high up there. I just wish we’d gotten a tiny bit extra at the end....more
I laughed, I cried, I wanted to crawl into the pages and bash two particular heads together and yell atWow. This was a wild ride from start to finish.
