I liked Kyan and Naomi together. Them getting high together was pretty damn cute. I have to admit I struggled with Kyan’s character at first, he almost came off as someone on the autism spectrum, so my brain couldn’t relate but I think that’s why they worked so well as a couple, they seemed to balance each other out. Naomi, and also maybe little Hudson, helped Kyan open himself up and be more vulnerable.
I hated that the family were at odds with each other for a lot of the book ...more

This was so sweet and adorable that I absolutely zipped through it. I enjoyed Zev, Charlie and Nia’s little family so much!
Zev was an adorkable mess This was so sweet and adorable that I absolutely zipped through it. I enjoyed Zev, Charlie and Nia’s little family so much!
Zev was an adorkable mess and it made him so endearing. He was clearly all in with Charlie from the start and it showed in his actions. I loved that slid into each others DMs and communicated via music and song choices. Music is so highly subjective and it was a really sweet, unique way for them to connect.
I loved how Zev was with Nia too. He was clearly nervous as all get out but they clearly bonded and he did his absolute best by her.
The conflict made me want to crawl into the book and smack certain white men in the face but thankfully it was resolved fairly quickly! I’m definitely intrigued to see if there will be any repercussions for what happened in the next book but I guess we’ll have to wait and see! Thankfully even though there was conflict, there was no third act break up and this family is as strong as ever.
We got a sneaky glimpse into what’s coming next for Kyan’s book and I am 9000% intrigued!!
Overall this was just a really wholesome small town story and definitely makes me want my own dragon mate ...more

This was definitely a fastburn but Torin and Maya were super cute together. Maya adapted well considering everything that happened to her and Torin clearly would’ve fought the world for her.

I wouldn’t have guessed it at first but Jobaki and Alussanai were the perfect pair for each other. Jo’s timid and shy character balanced out Alu’s wild and fearless one and it brought out the best in each of them.
I loved watching Jo’s progress as she learned to accept her power and her place in life and the coven. She was difficult for me to relate to at first because I’ve never been one to avoid conflict but after two centuries of doing so, I can imagine it would be difficult to unlearn.
What happened with Alu’s growth was amazing. She really helped Jo, championing her to be stronger, but she herself learned a few things from Jo along the way that culminated in a very awesome result. Plus the moment with her brothers was so sweet!! ...more

I’d been crossing my fingers and waiting to see if we’d ever hear more about the Draxilio podlings on Earth after hearing about them in Stealing His Mate and I wasn’t disappointed at all!
This was a quick easy read and I finished it in a few hours. Despite the dark subject matter, it still had plenty of warm fuzzy vibes that I find a constant in Ivy’s writing.
Axil was an absolute sweetie, if slightly naive about women haha, but he was so determined to be there for Vanessa that it made up for his fumbles. Vanessa was an interesting character. The way she tackled her negative thoughts was incredibly refreshing and I was proud of her character growth when faced with her trauma.
I honestly cannot wait to read the next books in this series! I think Ivy said we find out more about Luka and Harper next but I’m dying to read Sam and Mylo’s story too!!...more

I was actually kind of nervous that I was going to dislike Kate because the first two books didn’t paint her in a friendly light but reading her inner thoughts and previous experiences really helped me understand her.
I loved the sort-of-enemies to lovers feel this gave me. The snarky banter and tension between Kate and Niro was really fun to read! It was also super interesting to learn about his siblings and more of the world outside Oluura.
This was probably my favourite out of all of them yet! ...more

It reminded me of IPB in the way that it wasn’t filled with too much angst or drama or violence in any way. It was more about the sweet, soft fall of love between mates. They’re obviously both different species so there was some funny and awkward moments when translations went awry, and there was plenty of sexual tension too.
The usual 80% mark bomb drop and huge drama moment was not one I was expecting tbh but I loved how it was resolved! I’m so here for alien feminism!!

The miscommunication trope was riding high in this story and May or may not have finished this in just under 2 hours because it was so freaking good!!
The miscommunication trope was riding high in this story and usually I hate that but I was so obsessed with Flor and I’rec coming together that I just kept pushing past it.
I felt a bit bad for I’rec at the beginning as everyone seemed to dislike him so heavily but after Daisy’s book, it really changed my mind. Plus he was a damn sweetheart with Flor and I was so pleased he got through to her in the end. They ended up working well together and I can’t wait to see what baby Florec is like in future books!
I also can’t quite believe all the bombs that were dropped during the last like 20% of the book!! That is for sure going to change things around Not-Hoth. It also promises there’ll be a lot of fun books in the future! Especially clueless R’jaal ...more
