I saw the plot twist coming from the very beginning but it still had me blubbering. It was such a bittersweet story, filled with a lot of ups and downs and heavy emotions but it was also very precious to see the amount of support and love going on in Moose Village.
I don’t know if the relationship between Gavin and Harper counts as instalove but it’s was very fast-paced once they got out of each others way.
As I said earlier, I saw the twist coming but I felt so bad for them when tragedy hit. I can’t even imagine the myriad of emotions they’d have gone through but I think Elliot wrote it in a very respectful way.
There were a few Easter eggs dropped for potential couples in the next books and I’m already so excited! These are fast, easy reads with found family vibes and no third act breakup so totally perfect for a cozy romance pick-me-up!...more

The way Mac was all in from the very first moment was so adorable. I loved his relationship with Celeste, Calla and Talon, but it was definitely the instant love between him and Layla Bug that had my ovaries wanton to open for business again hahaha.
This was fairly low angst! Most of the tension came from Celeste’s trauma from her marriage which was totally understandable. Thankfully Mac was patient with her and she learned to accept his love. The story was also quite low spice which was a nice change for me after just having finished quite a smutty why choose.
I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series. I hope we get a Thor story but I’m also hopeful Talia gets her moment too. Is it too early to ask for book two? ...more

The two MCs were so good together. Marx was a big, gruff idiot, and Lovely was the sweetest yet fiercest soul. Her little girl, Bee, was adorable too.
The returning cast of the Devil’s Rose MC were, as always, fantastic. They’re absolutely crazy and I love how the women are just as strong and protective as the men. The shenanigans and antics this crew gets in to never fail to make me laugh while also sitting on the edge of my seat.
I really cannot wait until the next book! If you like Butcher and Blackbird or Lights Out, you’ll most definitely enjoy this series too! ...more

They worked really well together and I loved seeing Jack finally give in to his feelings. He was so sweet and protective of Allie and meshed so well with Austin too.
The cast of side characters in this series is a huge part of the fun. Their teasing, cheeky banter and the unwavering loyalty gave me absolute warm fuzzies.
I really can’t wait to see what Tia Louise brings us next!...more

Im so glad i stumbled across Bonnie’s social media last year and decided to check out her debut because i absolutely love this series, and Ranchers Strength is no exception.
I loved Lexie and Ryder were so good together and they made the perfect guardians for the kids. I especially loved how protective Ryder was over all of them. Second chance romances can be hit or miss but I really enjoyed the way this one panned out. It was so obvious that Lexie and Ryder were made for each other and even though they came back together under sad circumstances, it was still incredibly sweet.
The way the women on the ranch came together was beautiful and I thought it was great how quickly they accepted Lexie into the fold. It took the men so much longer, and I may have wanted to shake them a bit, but eventually they all came around. The book had a little less banter because of that but you still felt the love and found family aspect throughout anyway.
The suspense was good as well. I really wasn’t expecting it to wrap up the way it did and I’m so intrigued how that plays into the next book. Book 5 is definitely going to be an interesting one and I can’t wait!...more

I loved Haisley and Rasmus together. Ras being all in as soon as he found out about the wee meatball was so sweet, and the way he fell head over heels for Haisley was even better. You could feel the love between them straight through the pages.
All of the side characters in this book were great. There was cheeky banter at every turn and a few sweet but vulnerable moments too. There were also cameos from K. H. Anastasia’s other books which made me want to reread them once I finished.
I also loved that there was no third act breakup. I enjoy a bit of emotional damage and grovelling in a book but it’s always nice to have a sweet, cosy romance too.
This book is getting a full five stars from me! I enjoyed it so much, and I can’t wait for whoever comes next!...more

I really do enjoy these books. Despite having a bit of suspense in them, they’re pretty low angst, fun, and spicy!
Keegan and Loomis were great together! They got on so well with each other and their bond grew quickly, and their relationship was made all the more adorable with bb Fen.
I enjoyed the mystery in this one, and even though I caught onto who the villain was as soon as they were introduced, it was still a good arc. I always appreciate that J replaced a third act breakup with a third act conflict with the villain instead.
The recurring cast of Fritz and the ginormous extended family, blood and chosen, were delightful as always. This crew is always full of banter and jokes and have excellent text threads too.
I have no idea how long this series will go for but I will be eagerly awaiting each new book until the end....more

Jenni and Brittanée do some of the best small town romance stories I have ever read and are go to one-click authors for me. Thankfully Summer People was no exception and was the perfect cosy book to read! It was fast paced, quirky, full of banter, and generally just gave me happy vibes throughout the whole story, even during the heavier moments.
I loved watching Libby absolutely bloom through this story. She arrived as a broken shell of herself but was so determined to learn and grow, it made me want to sit there and cheer her on. The fact that she also managed to change Fischer’s grumpy mind was icing on the cake!
I loved the little family they made. They came together out of tragedy but Libby, Fischer, and Sutton truly were the best for each other.
One thing from this writing duo that never fails to amuse me is the quirky cast of characters and the hilarious bits of banter and fun. There’s always crazy group threads, visits from old friends, and all sorts of teasing that I spend most of the book with a stupid grin on my face.
I’m sad that it’s over now but I’m super excited after reading the DadComs teaser! I cannot wait to see the new shenanigans we’ll be taken on next!...more
