I just did not like the characters and the storyline itself was a let down. I expected a sweet love story with the challenge of distance and maybe a shock of knowing about otherworldly things. No. Well I mean yes it gives that but it sucks in its delivery. At some points their whole conversation is stuck in childish cock jokes. The alpha giggles. Ugh no that is not for me. Lennox is an alpha in name only, he has absolutely no alpha qualities. Herix is no omega. Why place tags on them that don’t fit their personality. Other than the fact that they recognize each other as mates, they have nothing else.
“I’m being fucked, everyone, and it feels so good.”
“Oh Gods, I’ve been missing out. All human alphas should try this. I have a dick, a Thulnaran length in my ass, and I love it.”
Who says stuff like this while having sex. Ugh not even the spice was spicy. It was downright cringe at times. ...more

Know who Loshka is and where her came from, this is not the story I thought it would be. Obviously I knew he would be sold as he is a slave. Now who he was sold to threw me for a loop but not too far off so I’m thinking to myself that no way is this book gonna get that dark. But oh it tried to. Now it’s his conditioning that I have a problem with. It fell away with ease, which doesn’t make sense because that was his entire life. That doesn’t go away a quick or as easy. I just couldn’t make that make much sense. But luckily he found the sweetness that is Malik. Even though that meeting was just ugh horrible. The flash and then boom, you’re my mate, let’s go home. I could not roll my eyes hard enough at that craziness. Overall it was a decent read that was entertaining all the way through. I liked the involvement of the other characters and the dynamics of their family unit. Gives me a little taste of what personality to expect moving forward with this series. ...more

It said dragon but this was no typical dragon story. A quick read with more story the spice, even though there is heat. The plot itself has potential to be big. It could have been longer and gave more space for the mc’s. Ocren definitely needed to woo Derek but we don’t get that. There’s just a switch that gets flipped and boom they are together. ...more

I actually enjoyed the plot when it had absolutely nothing to do with breeding or relationships. The war itself seemed to be very unique in a way especially with a newly discovered traitor amongst them. As for the breeding... it’s normal in a story like this however the emotional state of Indigo is mind boggling. Who loses their family and best friend to gruesome deaths then immediately begins to enjoy life again. Shopping, making new friends. I would break down immediately. I do understand her need to connect with Vlosh in order to fill the void left by her parents deaths but come on. This is a stretch and clearly makes her some type of sociopath. There is absolutely no point where she mourns. They die she leaves them to rot where they lay and she moves on. I just can’t comprehend. ...more

Not so unique in the fact that an off world supposedly inescapable prison exists but in the creation and destruction of this small world within the galaxy. I loved Jasak from the very beginning, Aleron doesn’t really grow on you until the end when his selfishness disappears.
I get the point of view of all the working pieces within the story but still have to figure out exactly what is going on. Nothing is spelled out plainly and it leaves you on edge while waiting for the climax. I loved it it was entertaining and emotional.
The dynamics between the imprisoned guards and their prisoners was an interesting one. Jasak tried to keep everything relatively fair seeing as everyone there was essentially there for committing a crime. It just so happened that the stronger species was given the keys to run the place. ...more
