Clear the Shelters Day Art

Today is Clear the Shelters Day and you know I'm all about helping cats find their forever homes and castles. I notice there are a lot of animals available at my old alma mater that need homes. I was kinda saddened to see Helen, a cat I shared on Facebook last year is still available for adoption. I invited her over to innerduce this week's art. Helen might be a little shortsighted but she can still appreciate great art. I wanted to show her a painting I made of her.

Happy National Tuxedo Cat Day

Happy National Tuxedo Cat Day
Tuxies are stunning!

Tomorrow is National Black Cat Day. What's up with that? Does it seem to you that there are about seven days each year honoring black cats? Dunno who declared this but I say no fair to those of us cats who have different color furs and markings. When I look through the CB weekly planner, I see lots of black cats and tabbies but few tuxies and torties.

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. That is funny cos I always thought Adopt a Shelter Cat Month was January cos that’s when this little ex-shelter cat was sprung from a lifetime of cages and bars. I’ll never forget my time at the two shelters. The first one was supposed to be a no-kill but why did a rescue group spring me and some furrends to save us from getting PTS? They thought I was worth rehabilitating and I found myself in another shelter still waiting. On January 29th, 2006, an elderly couple came to the adoption event, paid my bail and took me home. They had seen my mug shot in the post office stunning photo on something called petfinder.com and liked what they saw.

With A Little Help From My Furrends

I’m hiding back here cos I’m kinda embarrassed. TW embarrassed me once again.

I Wanna Be Your Cat … Bedford’s Story

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month so I’m giving shout outs to some special needs kittehs that are still locked up in the local jails animal shelters through no fault of their own. I was rescued from a kill shelter only to be sent to another shelter where I waited a long time to make my break. Life ain’t easy for cats deemed to be less adoptable like I was.

This week I'm featuring another one of Secaucus Animal Hospital's adoptable pets of the week. He was also featured on their FB page the week of May 15th so our boy has been waiting awhile for his forever home. This adorable tabby boy is Bedford and he is incarcerated at Happy Feet in Secaucus, NJ!
