High Tension Vol. 3 is a classic piece of Italian Library Music from 1978, crafted by composer Paolo Renosto under his celebrated pseudonym Lesiman. As part of a series intended for use in films, television, and radio, this album delivers exactly what its title promises: a collection of instrumental cues designed to evoke suspense, drama, and anxiety.
The music fuses elements of Jazz, Psychedelic Funk, and cinematic Score with a distinct 1970s sound palette. Expect sharp, driving rhythms, tense string arrangements, and unsettling electronic textures. Tracks like "Irruzione" (Raid) and "Rosso E Nero" (Red and Black) are perfect examples of the album's urgent, gritty atmosphere, making it a favorite among crate-diggers and fans of Italian crime thrillers (Poliziotteschi).
Vol. 3 is less about melody and more about mood and rhythmic propulsion, offering a compelling soundtrack for hidden scenes of intrigue, espionage, or dark introspection. It remains an essential, though often overlooked, gem of the Italian library canon.

The album was released on the German Sonoton label and is subtitled: Contemporary Documentary Themes, Mood and Underscores.
Scoop is a quintessential piece of early 80s Library Music, designed for dramatic and documentary use. The album delivers a vivid, cinematic blend of Jazz-Funk, Jazz-Rock, and early Electronic styles.
The mood is generally energetic, tense, and modern, reflecting the contemporary sound of a television newsroom or action report. Tracks are driven by strong, often frantic, rhythms, slick basslines, and punchy horn-like synthesizers, balanced by moments of ambient, reflective underscore. It’s a groovy, sought-after relic from the transition between 70s funk and the colder 80s synth sound.

Alberto Baldan Bembo – Lingua D'Argento (1976, LP, Italy)

Originally composed by maestro and orchestra conductor Alberto Baldan Bembo for the movie soundtrack "Ecco lingua d'argento", starring the sexy Carmen Villani. The album includes many spellbinding and powerful grooves filled with great basslines, dope wah wah and killer Funky sounds; a countless amount of drum beats with dancing Fender Rhodes, Disco-Funk arrangements with driving tropical percussions, dreamy cinematic strings and sexy female chorus harmonize. Top-notch stuff for any crate digger / groove hunter / beat maker / record collector and vintage music vinyl maniac out there. Incredible session, pinnacle of maestro Bembo production and a real masterpiece from the beginning to the end!

Sandro Brugnolini – Utopia (1972, LP, Italy)

Sandro Brugnolini's masterpiece "UTOPIA", originally pressed on a ridiculous run, and released on a beatiful tip-on sleeve reproducing painter Michel Seuphor's abstract art. The first official release after the recent maestro's passing, conceived with the great arrangements of Giorgio Carnini at the Hammond and piano, and the direction of maestro Franco Tamponi. A brilliant and inspired Jazz-Funk and Lounge Jazz session with just amazing sounds, driven by both dreamy and underground moods, Avant-garde Jazz refined orchestrations and gorgeous grooves.

The film "Stridulum" (Aka "The Visitor") was directed in 1979 by Giulio Paradisi. Starring Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford, John Huston, Franco Nero, Shelley Winters, Sam Peckinpah, Joanne Nail, Lance Henriksen, Paige Conner, Ja Townsend, Jack Dorsey, Hsio Ho Chao.

Franco Micalizzi has written one of the most beautiful scores of his entire career (and one of the favourites of the composer himself), where a main theme quoting ''Also sprach Zarathustra'' in the introduction then develops into a powerful and driving funky music piece that recalls so many famous police movie themes of this author, alternated with a romantic love theme, action music and dissonant symphonic-electronic atmospheres.

A proper rescue and preservation of the Italian Silver Age and of the music art of Franco Micalizzi.

Oscar Rocchi E Il Suo Modern Sound – Erbe Selvatiche (1977, LP, Italy)

Recorded around mid '70s, this scarce Italian Library composed by maestro Oscar Rocchi was released on the same label of the infamous Giancarlo Barigozzi's WOMAN'S COLOURS, who also played in this session. One of the finest Jazz-Funk and funky library jams with terrific themes to literally die for - some of the hottest Bboy Funk beats from Italian Library vaults with stunning drums breaks, stoned flute, fuzzy guitars and Fender Rhodes solos. Loads of exciting grooves that have chipped in to make this LP just A KILLER. Huge session and very solid album from the beginning to the end!
