Offering came to the world as one of Christian Vander's post Magma projects, functioning throughout the later half of the 80s up till the early 90s Offering ventures into territory where only Magma's 'Merci' dared the tread. While the 70s Magma revolved around a more classical interpretation, Offering shows Vander's fascination with Coltrane's acoustic inspired Jazz blossom into full realization. Offering is sited by many as Christian Vander's most praised post-Magma project.
Offering takes a step aside from Magma's tight formulas, introducing compositions of a much looser, improvisational design. Vander's drumming expertises sadly take to the bench, while focusing more specifically on vocal experimentations alongside his wife Stella. We hear an evolution of the soul-scat vocals utilized throughout Magma's 1984 album 'Merci'. Offering went on to record 3 albums, which hold many draw backs for most listeners. Much of the time the musical insights become quite unfocused and produces a patchy final product
Their latest recording 'A Fiieh' is their most concise document; bring in a full line-up including the likes of Isabelle Feullebois, Philippe Dardelle and Emmanuel Borghi. The usually suspect are augmented by four other percussionist, four vocalist and one Keyboardist. The style becomes dark, minimalist and even a little more symphonic. While the epic 'Purificatem' reverts back into the familiar vibe of the two prior albums.
Boasting as one of Vander's most accomplished post-Magma projects, this will appease Christian Vander fans, but could still facilitate your average listener's enjoyment.

A four disc boxset of all original Offering albums, remastered, plus a 32mn bonus track: "Out Of This World". This boxset nowadays is the only way to purchase Offering's studio albums.

Guitar, Synthesizer, Keyboards, Effects, Sitar – Spiros Rouchotas

Mutant Embryo Records proudly presents for the first time the release of Archaïa's eerie 2nd album!! Following their homonymous 1977 debut LP, 'Harmonie Solaire' is the last ever recordings the band made in 2013 with the authentic line-up of Michel Munier & Pierrick Le Bras.

Obscure myths & legends with enigmatic symbols from the past versus an unpredictable future, a trip to occult sessions, weird creatures, robots from a parallel universe through the 'sui generis' sound of this zeuhlish / experimental duo. Haunting vocals, vintage synths, acid guitars & electronics are among others the basic elements composing the album's atmosphere, originally presented on this limited vinyl edition.

Pienza Ethnorkestra – Indiens D'Europe (2005, CD, France)

Tracklist:
1. Ali Lennti (7:14)
2. Smeceno Horo (7:33)
3. Comme des oiseaux (9:42)
4. Gengis Khan/La steppe (14:47)
5. Eraglubeidolem (11:03)
6. Geamparalele Lui Haidim (9:07)

Musicians:
Drums – Daniel Jeand'heur
Electric Bass – James Mac Gaw
Hurdy Gurdy [Vielle A Roue] – Thierry Bruneau

The music was recorded live during summer 2005 and is very heavy, the electric hurdy gurdy being treated like a guitar with a lot of power & distorsions. Folk is just a basis for this powerful great jam between 3 exceptionnal players that each push the boundaries of their instrument in very unusual ways: distorted electric hurdy gurdy, explosive drums & a HUGE Zeuhl bass that goes chorus almost every minute. Difficult to name… explosive-zeuhl-folk
