Advent Calendar with Cats on Appletrees

Hi Everyone, no card today, but I am showing you the front of my yearly advent calendar that I make for my daughter. My son prefers the chocolate one, those are easy... I used designer paper as background and die cut the windows with an Ellen Hutson die. I used a template by Julie Ebersole - you can find it HERE . If you are interested in more details - I have a photo tutorial HERE , that explains exactly how I made this. Just in case you have a few hours to spare to make your own advent calendar.... The numbered baubles are by Memory Box and lastly the animals are from Cats on Appletrees. If you are interested to see the inside - come back after Christmas, I'll show it to you.... Not much longer until Christmas! Happy Stamping!

Pinsights Challenge

Hi Everyone, just a very quick post. It's late already and I don't want to miss the deadline for the current Pinsights challenge over at Ellen Hutson. Made this water color background and added the die cuts and the sentiment, which are all by Ellen Hutson. Added a green thread. This is the inspiration picture: And another view of my card: Happy Stamping! Stamp Connection #33

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements: Thank you card with embossing folder My blogging friend Elisabeth from aufspapiergebracht send me this gorgeous embossing folder for Christmas. It is from the Renke Manufaktur - they have amazing stamping supplies - you should check them out. Here is a detail view: That folder is a dream and of course it needed to be made into a thank you card. The letters are by Ellen Hutson and the tree is from Neat&Tangled. Added a brad and some red thread. I am just in love with this card. I think I need to make some more... Lets check out   Tanja's artwork! Happy St...

Ellen Hutson and Avery Elle

Hi Everyone, it has been awhile that I played along with the Ellen Hutson Mix-up challenge - but I made it this time! The mix-up is with Avery Elle. I first stamped the border (Avery Elle) and water colored it. Added the little hexagons. Die-cut the sentiment (Ellen Hutson) and added some sequins. And here I wanted to share a fabulous card with you, that I got from my stamping friend Stephanie Lanzalotto from My Ink Well  - isn't it adorable?!!! We recently found out that we live fairly close to each other and we had a little stamping get-together. I forgot to take pictures, oh well. We just had too much fun together, to think about such things. Happy Stamping!

Fall Bouquet

Hi Everyone, time to play in a few challenges! I love the mood board Ellen Hudson has this month and pulled out my supplies.  I got most inspired by the middle picture with those Geraniums. All my supplies are by Ellen Hudson, except for the torn border die - that is by CUTplorations. Added black splatters. Ellen Hudson Mix it up

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play in the  Ellen Hudson Mix it up  challenge with my last card, but then I forgot to put something by EH on it.....So I had to make another card.....No big deal. This month the mix up is with Neat & Tangled. I took a border set by N&T and made the background stripes. I did not try to space them evenly or ink them up to the same length. I wanted it to be somewhat random. I water colored paper in the colors you see and them die cut the EH flowers. Glued them on and added splatters and sequins. The "thinking of you" sentiment is also by N&T. My color scheme I got from the current Color Throwdown  and this card also is playing in Addicted to CAS , where the cue word is stripes and in Less Is More - repetition Happy Stamping!

You are my Most Favorite

Hi Everyone, Conil from Which Craft? inspired me to play along with the Ellen Hudson pin sights challenge . She made the most gorgeous card - you have to go over and see it! Initially I was not thrilled about the colors - a bit drab....but after seeing her card I gave it a try. I made the background paper with water color. Added the sentiment (Neat&Tangled) and the die cuts (Ellen Hutson)  As you can see, I also added some splatters, Washi tape and enamel dots. My husband thought its too busy. Perhaps he is right. I think its okay - it does not always have to be CAS, right? Also linking up with: Snippets Playground - use a snippet (green flowers) Happy stamping!

Happy 2016

Hi Everyone, 2016 is coming real soon and there were a few of my friends that did not get a Christmas card, so I am sending out New Years cards..... I got inspired by the Ellen Hutson Pinsights challenge. All stamps and dies are Ellen Hutson. I heat embossed the stamps in silver and added silver and red splatters, as well as a silver enamel dot. Rounded the bottom corners.  The Champagne glasses are mounted with foam dots. Now you can have a merry New Years celebration!
