KIS #5 and Tuesday Throwdown

The German KIS challenge has Frame as a theme, and so does the Tuesday Throwdown challenge .  A while ago I attended a fabulous class by Fred Mullett and got myself that cool octopus stamp. I thought it pairs well with the framed octopus. I inked it with a multicolored ink pad and I masked the framed octopus stamp. I then inked the upper and left margin of a white card, since I did not have a matching background paper and glued the octopus onto it. No sentiment - it already has one in Japanese - maybe somebody knows, what it says - let me know, that would be interesting! I hope you like it! Looking forward to your comments ;)

Moody Blues

I discovered this crafts 4 eternity challenge recently and really liked their inspiration picture. I thought I will use those colors in an idea I recently had. I got those letter stencils at Michaels and wanted to make word cards with them in different colors just with sponging. That can be used for any season or just as a background - all those possibilities swirling around in my head.....  I am not totally happy with the fonts that were available, but they were cheap enough that nothing much is lost..... At CASology  this week's theme is WINTER, so I am also submitting this card to this challenge. Here is the card I made. The colors are the closest I could find in my stash for the color challenge: The snowflakes are from Inkadinkadoo and I put Stickles on the small ones to add some sparkle. AHH and since its winter I thought I show you some pictures from my Christmas vacation in Ithaca. It was sooo pretty there. I wish we had some snow...

OLW snowflakes

Since I still need more Holiday cards, I decided to make one for the One Layer Wednesday challenge "Snowflakes. The big snowflake and the sentiment are Inkadinkadoo, the little snowflakes are from Rubber Soul. I masked the center strip and sponged around it. And, as so often a little Stickles for sparkle. Just found this challenge at the Paper Players , for which this card fits as well.
