Card Concept inspired Christmas Card

Hi Everyone, it has been a while that I had time for making a card other than DT cards. But the inspiration picture from The Card Concept caught my eye - see it below. I used grey card stock as base and dry embossed it with a Papertrey embossing plate.Kind of hard to see, it is quite subtle. I diecut the deer (Poppy Stamps Whittle die,s) and glued them onto wood paper. Used a thin strip of antiqued mirror paper, as the inspiration pic has some lights in it. The sentiment is from inkystamps. Added two small pearls. Katzelkraft - Fox Family

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog.  There are some brand new solo stamps in the store - you may want to check them out! I used that adorable Fox Family . I stamped and colored the foxes with Inktense. I fuzzy cut them. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder as background and arranged the foxes on my card. The large fox II also stamped on the card base and only added the cut out fox - I had no patience to cut out the tree as well.... Added the sentiment (Inkystamps) - it means merry Christmas, I am sure you guessed that. Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! If you feel the urge to buy any Katzelkraft products, you can also order them in the US from those companies:  Topflight Stamps ,  Lost Coast Designs , or  Frantic Stamper .  Use code  FUNSTAMPING  to get 12% discount at  Topflight Stamps . Christmas Inchies

Hi Everyone, CAS Mix-up has a fun theme this month and I decided to play along. The theme is inchies. In fact I have so many ideas for this I might just play again.... This is super easy. I just took some Washi tape and stuck it onto card stock. Took a 1 inch square die and cut three times. Mounted them with foam tape. Stamped the sentiment (inkystamps) and since it looked kind of empty I also added the little fox (Poppy Stamps). I am also  a square format for this card, thought it looked better that way. Happy Stamping! Stamp Connection #44

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time we both agreed on the requirements: Black Ice Technique and Christmas This technique is amazing - you should look at THIS tutorial. It is quite easy to do. You basically Stamp on mirror paper and then go over it with Versamark and add clear embossing powder. I used a combination of products - the background snowflakes are by Hero Arts, The die cut snowflakes are by Memory Box and the sentiment if from Inkystamps. Here is a detail photo: Since I had made a big mirror paper panel I got a second card out of it: Did the same, but also dry embossed the blue card stock (Tim Holtz) after I sprayed the embossing folder wi...

Gilded Embossing Folder

Hi Everyone, I need to increase my Christmas card production.....just doing them all year long is apparently not enough.... So I pulled out my favorite Dixie Drafts dies (Santa and Reindeer), a 3-D embossing folder and a so far NBUS German sentiment set from Inkystamps. This was really quick to make. I embossed dark blue card stock and smeared Delicata ink on top. Die cut the Santa, deer and stars (Memory Box) from gold card stock. Assembled everything with some Washi tape . The sentiment I had put in my Misti and stamped it on both cards. Two More Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone, recently I got some great new stamps form Germany - they are from the Renke Manufaktur . For a long time I had my eyes on them and finally I got my hands on them, doing a little internet exchange with my friend Elisabeth ..... I used one of the stamps, which I had bought in two sizes - its called Bluetendolde . I love it, because you can use it for so many things, like what I did here, made it into a Christmas bauble. I heat embossed it in silver and gold (WOW embossing powder). The sentiment is by Mama Elephant. I added a little strip of gold glitter paper on the side. And "hung" the baubles on silver and gold strings.  Did you notice my new splashy watermark - Kylie made that for me and if you want one too, you can contact her - I made a link on the sidebar of my blog.
