Topflight Stamps - Spring

Hi Everyone, This week it's spring on the  Topflight blog . And what's better than flowers and some springy chicks! I used a background from my stash, that I made with a gel plate and a stencil from AALL&Create. I stamped the chicks onto scrap paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers. Stamped the chicks and flowers onto the background and added the cut out chicks. I die cut my card and wanted to mount it onto a solid colored background, but did't like the way it looked. So I sponged the remining frame on darker colors and glued it all onto a white card base. Added some Washi tape instead of a sentiment. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Ginko&Co - KTZ311,  Little Birds  - KTZ217 Numberama ,  Blender Brushes Washi tape #23 Vivre , Gel Press Linking up with: Dream Factory  - Chicken Run, see movie poster be...

Katzelkraft - Thanks with Birds

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. This week I am playing with an old set Les Piafs - I am sure you are familiar with it. I sprinkled a bit of Infusion pigments (The Sage) onto my watercolor paper card base and then sprayed Lavinia Mysticals (Chestnut Bay). Let it dry. On the obliqued Foto you can see the wonderful shimmer a little bit. I used a stencil (Funky Fossil Mandala Magic ) to add some pattern to the left side of my card. Did some more sponging along the corners. I stamped the birds onto colored paper (used Brusho Gamboge for the coloring) and added some more color with water brush pens. Cut them out. Stamped the sentiment (I only used the thanks, cut off the rest). Stamped the birds onto my card with a stamp positioner and added the bird cut outs. The stamps I used are from the following set: Les Piafs - KTZ151, Enjoy - English Quotes  KTZ291   ( FRANCE) Birds - KTZ291,   Enjoy Quotes - KTZ291  (USA) Hop...

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. As I said previously, we are still in Christmas card making season! The Cardinal stamp is brand new, but I added a companion (ancient stamp set) for him. He looked kind of lonely on his branch... I stamped the birds and colored them with water colors. I added Crystal Lacquer to the berries and let them dry. I masked the Cardinal. I used a stencil for the background.Smudged the ground and brushed around the edges of the card. Added the sentiment. Katzelkraft - Happy Easter

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am working on my Easter card stash. Thankfully it doesn't need to be as big as my Christmas card stash..... Now this stamp is called " Pensive Chicken " - no idea why. Doesn't look that way to me at all. Looks rather excited and happy to me. But it wouldn't have stopped me using it the way I did anyhow......    I first stamped the Easter and then positioned the chicken balancing on the "S". Colored him with Inktense and colored around him with water colors. Added the "Happy". Trimmed the card on the side and added a strip of patterned paper. The stamp I used are from the following set:  Pensive Chicken -  SOLO167 , Holiday Quotes - KTZ207 ( FRANCE)  Thoughtful Chicken  -  SOLO167 ,   Holiday Quotes - KTZ207   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft Calendar - March

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar. I am quite happy with my third page.  March is dedicated to Equinox, which is this year on March 20. It took my a while to come up with the idea. Sketched it out, before I started.  First I stamped all the birds. Next I made the background with watercolors. Colored the birds with watercolors as well and a few marker accents.  Masked the birds and added the trees and shrubs. In the end I sponged a bit over my background, as it looked kind of splotchy. Added the calendar page into the center. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Les Chouettes - KTZ237, Birds - KTZ151 , Winter Wonderland - KTZ280 Into the Wild  - KTZ281,   Herbs Folles  - KTZ256  ( FRANCE)   Owls - KTZ237, Birds - KTZ151, Winter Wonderland - KTZ280,  Into the Wild  - KTZ281,   Weeds  -KTZ272,    (USA) Hope you ...

Topflight Stamps meets the Day of the Month Card Club

Hi Everyone, It's  Topflight Stamps   day!  And since I am pressed for time I thought I am going to combine it with the Day of the Month Card Club, which has National Bird Day as it's theme . You have perhaps seen my bottle series. First I thought I am done after 4 cards, but everyone seems to like them. Besides I got some spice jars and a bird feeder as Christmas present from a good friend of mine, so I needed a thank you card. Basically killing three birds with one stone, so to speak....although the only thing I manage to kill is mosquitos and mice in my house.... This card is quite simple, but it took me a while to get the layout right. I wanted more bottles but it became too busy. Should have used a bigger card format for that, but I wanted to stick with what I usually do. So eventually I scaled it down to one bottle only and two birds. Did some masking and colored with watercolors and markers. For my stamp supplies see below. Don't forget to visit the Day of the Mont...
