Woodblock Wednesday - U R Purrfection

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my wonderful wood stamps! And since Valentine's Day is near I thought I make an appropriate card for that occasion - for cat lovers anyway...it also would work for a bunch of other occsions. I first stamped the cats (Stampotique). Then I masked off a stripe. Made myself a mask for the cats and brushed the background with distress inks in rainbow colors. Stamps the dots (All Night Media).  Took the masks off and colored the cats with alcohol ink markers. Added white Posca pen accents. Stamped the sentiment (Rubber soul) and added 2 enamel dots. And here are all those wonderful woodblock stamps: Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! GDT for Once upon a Time - Wild Things

Hi Everybody!  I have the honor to be guest designing at the current  Once upon a Time  challenge blog. This month is all about "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak. You probably are all familiar with his wonderful book. I loved reading it to my children.  I have quite a few wild things in my stash. They are all woodblock stamps by Stampotique. Happily inked them up. I colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. Added them to a page of patterned paper ( Watercolor Rainbow ) from Funky Fossil Designs. The sentiment is also from Funky Fossil Designs- an old set, no longer available. I hope you liked this. Perhaps you'll find time to play along at  Once upon a Time  . Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping!

Red Monster Birthday

Hi Everybody!  I am back with a card I made for the  Dream Factory  Challenge and choose the dotty background for the  Day of the Month Card Club  challenge.   I got inspired by the movie poster - see below. I immediately knew I wanted to use this cute monster from Stampotique. I colored it with alcohol ink markers and fuzzy cut it.  Made the background with a stencil by Donna Downey. The heat embossed sentiment is by My Favorite Things and the little side strip of striped paper is from Funky Fossil. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Guest Designing for 52CCT - Green and Red

Hi Everyone, The new challenge at  52CCT , where I am honored to be guest designer for this week. The theme is Green and Red  - very traditional colors, so I went with non-traditional stamps, LOL! I used a left over background from a prior project (water colored). I stamped the monster and dog (Stampotique) onto scrap paper, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. Stamped them again onto the card base and added the cut-outs. Added the sentiment (Ellen Hutson). I trimmed the card and added my favorite strip of patterned paper at the bottom. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! and don't forget to kink up your card with  52CCT ! Happy Stamping!
