Bubble Wrap

Hi Everyone, I had to play with bubble wrap as part of Darnell's NBUS challenge ! It was always something on my to do list, but I never got around to actually do it... Thankfully Darnell gave me the necessary push! For both cards I used a NBUS set from Papertrey called Zappy Birthday and of course bubble wrap. For the first card I dripped alcohol ink on bubble wrap and stamped it off and for the second card I waited for it to dry. Pierced all those bubbles to flatten them out and adhered my sentiments/arrow to the plastic.  I have a third card in the making - not sure, if I get it done before the challenge closes... It's Snowing!

Hi Everyone, it was snowing here in NJ all day long and it is quite cold now, so what's better than playing with CASology - the theme is COLD I used an old Hero Arts stamp and my Misti (detached the rubber from  the wood block). Inked it up with different colors as you can see and added the sentiment - an even older Amuse stamp Linking up with: CASology  - Cold Snippets Playground - my snippet is the sentiment Crafty Purple Frog - don't get beaten by the winter blues Seize the Birthday - anything birthday Less is More - Ombre

Stamp Connection #16

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our sixteenth transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: use Brushos (or similar pigment powders) And to make things more exciting Tanja invited Loll Thompson from Stamping with Loll to play along with us! Loll is an amazing designer I am sure you all have seen her brilliant work! Thanks Loll, for being part of our little endeavor! So I pulled out my Brushos. Staped a background stamp (ancient Stampin' up) on water color paper and heat embossed in white. Added Brushos and spritzed with water. Let it dry. Added the sentiment ( die by STAMPlorations) and the bird ( die cut ) and the "Happy" - also  STAMPlorations. Of course I...

Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies August Challenge

Hi Everyone, I am back with a card for the  Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies  challenge! You may remember that card that I made with the alcohol ink background. Well I had a lot of those butterfly cut-outs. I decided to save them and turn them into a card. Not a good idea I have to say in retrospect...would have been so much easier to just ink up some card stock, cut it with the die and then glue it on to the card. But somehow I managed. Will NOT do it again that way, but with the help of Press 'n Seal anything is possible! Added some circles, sequins and the sentiment, which I put on envelope liner paper. The stamps I used are by Happy Little Stampers ( Mix Mash ) As the challenge says - ANYTHING is possible, just use your dies!  So come on and play along - that's what you can win: Linking up with: Seize the Birthday - anything birthday, no topping for me Cut it up - summertime memories (butterflies always r...

Watercolor Stamping with Twofers

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play with my Local King Rubber Stamps and needed a challenge to spark my imagination.... Twofers came to the rescue - the theme is watercolor stamping. I used watercolor markers and colored my stamp, stamped it onto glossy card stock and then die cut it. One ostrich was not enough, so I stamped him some grey companions. Added splatters just for fun and some Washi tape. The sentiment also comes with the stamp set. Here you see better that the die cut ostrich is mounted with foam tape. I am thinking birthday card for an Australian here - I think it works even without a specific birthday sentiment, or? Geometric Shapes

Hi Everyone, I am sure you guessed I would play with this weeks Less is More challenge - its geometric shapes on a one layer card - two of my favorites!!!! Of course I had to pull out my favorite iStencil - this time I inked it up in reddish tones and made a dark grey background. I also masked the periphery and only concentrated on the "ball" or lets call it a circle, since we want to be geometric ;) Click on the picture and it will get you to the store :) I die cut the "birthday" - inlaid, of course to stick with one layer. Stamped the tiny happy on the side and added an enamel dot.  I am also linking up with the current Muse challenge , where the talented and creative Anita from Neet and Crafty  made a wonderful card for us to CASE. Here is her card: So, if you are wondering how this relates - well, I stuck with the orangey/red color scheme, the inlaid die-cutting and the asymmetric centering of the image - only mine is  r...

Happy 4th Birthday!

Hi Everyone, I have been dropping followers like crazy - I hope its due to this odd google blogger thing that only lets you follow if you have a google account....but who knows - perhaps those people left me for different reasons... how sad. I treasure you, my dear followers, each and all of you :) I have a fun card I made for a little girl who is going to turn 4 really soon and I got inspired by the Seven Hills Craft Blog colors - the ones with the chili peppers, see below. Since the linky will be closing while I'll be sleeping I have to post this card today, so no posting tomorrow (probably..) The film strip die is by Poppy Stamps and the funny cat is by Waffle Flower. I inked her up with my treasured Kaleidocolor ink pad. The balloon 4 is by Avery Elle. I think she is going to like her card! Superhero

Hi Everyone, I need a birthday card for a little boy, so what' better than   playing with the  Friday Mashup  - just focusing on the Superhero theme.  All my supplies are by Paper Smooches. I fussy cut the Superman and colored him with Copics. The sentiment is heat embossed. The skyline was a bit of work, but totally worth the effort - I love how this turned out! Two Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone, I am so happy making cards other than Christmas cards :)  And what better occasion than a 14 year old birthday celebration. Its for one of my friends son's in Germany. I love those Avery Elle balloon dies. I cut them in fun foam, so you have some dimension and no shipping problems. Added Washi tape as background. The fun sentiment is by My Favorite Things. Added some loose thread to the balloons.  Stamping Royalty  - Washi Tape Mod Squad challenge  - one die cut Stamp Ink Paper  - anything but Christmas Seize the Birthday - anything birthday SSS Wednesday  – Party (birthday party, of course!) And here is card #2: I made this for the current Make it Monday feature over at Papertrey. The theme is adding color to stamped images. I don't have Gamsol, as suggested by the talented and creative Laurie , but I have Inktense pencils and water. It works like a charm :) I used my brand new Woodl...
