Jefferson and the Titans reached agreement Wednesday on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. The modest salary suggests Jefferson will need to compete for a depth job and may not even be assured of a roster spot. He'll be on his fourth team since the start of 2023, having never come close to matching the 50-802-6 receiving line he produced for the Rams in 2021, his second season in the league. He's finished south of 400 yards in each subsequent campaign and isn't likely to experience a major revival in his age-29 season ahead.

Lands one-year contract
Jefferson and the Titans reached agreement Wednesday on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. The modest salary suggests Jefferson will need to compete for a depth job and may not even be assured of a roster spot. He'll be on his fourth team since the start of 2023, having never come close to matching the 50-802-6 receiving line he produced for the Rams in 2021, his second season in the league. He's finished south of 400 yards in each subsequent campaign and isn't likely to experience a major revival in his age-29 season ahead.
Expected back Saturday
Wilson (illness) is expected to be available Saturday versus the Lightning, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports. Wilson missed Thursday's game versus the Blues, but his illness clearly is not a long-term concern. The 30-year-old winger should resume his usual top-six duties Saturday, assuming he gets the all-clear for the matinee contest.
Shows slight improvement in 2024
Jefferson secured 24 of 40 targets for 276 yards and two touchdowns over 17 regular-season appearances in 2024. Jefferson split time between the Rams and Falcons last year and failed to reach the end zone with either club. Although he wasn't very consistent during his first season in Pittsburgh, he found the end zone on two occasions during the regular season and also scored a touchdown during the team's wild-card loss to Baltimore. The 28-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason and will likely have limited fantasy upside heading into 2025, regardless of where he signs.
Tallies three catches in defeat
Jefferson secured three of four targets for 18 yards during Saturday's 19-17 loss to the Bengals. Although the Steelers' passing game largely struggled in Saturday's regular-season finale, Jefferson had multiple receptions for the second time over the last six weeks. The 28-year-old was inconsistent throughout the regular season, including against the Ravens, who the Steelers will face in next weekend's wild-card round. He failed to secure his lone target in the Week 11 meeting between the two teams but secured two of three targets for 27 yards against Baltimore in Week 16.
No catches in Week 17
Jefferson failed to secure his lone target during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Jefferson has been inconsistent over the past few weeks, and he was held without any receiving yards for the second time in the last three games Wednesday. Now that George Pickens (hamstring) is back on the field, it seems unlikely that Jefferson will have a significant role in next week's regular-season finale against Cincinnati.
Limited work in defeat
Jefferson secured two of three targets for 27 yards during Saturday's 34-17 loss to the Ravens.' Even though the Steelers were without George Pickens (hamstring) for a third consecutive game Saturday, Jefferson was unable to make a significant impact. Head coach Mike Tomlin said Sunday that Pickens has a "real chance" to return to action against Kansas City on Wednesday, so Jefferson seems unlikely to have a sizable role in Week 17.
Nonfactor against Philadelphia
Jefferson caught one of his two targets for zero yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Eagles. Jefferson finished the game tied for the most snaps at wide receiver (35) with Calvin Austin, with both handling an 81 percent snap share in the contest. With fellow wideout George Pickens (hamstring) sidelined for the past two contests, the 28-year-old Jefferson has seen an increase in his playing time but saw just three total targets from quarterback Russell Wilson in that span. Unfortunately, the veteran was unable to get anything going against a stingy Philadelphia secondary. Jefferson will look to bounce back in a Week 16 matchup against the Ravens, however, his already limited usage could take a hit if Pickens is able to return.
Finds end zone in win
Jefferson secured his lone target for a 10-yard touchdown during Sunday's 27-14 win over Cleveland. The 28-year-old led Steelers wideouts in offensive snaps Sunday with George Pickens (hamstring) sidelined, but Jefferson failed to really capitalize on his playing time. The veteran WR's yardage total dropped in Week 14 after he racked up 82 receiving yards across the prior two games, but he at least reached the end zone for the first time since Week 7 on a 10-yard touchdown reception midway through the third quarter. While Jefferson has delivered decent production over the last three weeks, he's had a limited target share, securing just four of six targets during that time. He remains a shaky fantasy option.
Records 43-yard reception in win
Jefferson secured one of three targets for 43 yards during Sunday's 44-38 win over the Bengals. Jefferson was on the field for 62 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps Sunday, the second-highest mark among the team's wide receivers. While he didn't have many targets against Cincinnati, Jefferson put the Steelers in the red zone with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, which marked the team's longest play of the day. The 2020 second-rounder has secured three of five targets for 82 yards over the last two games, but it seems unlikely that he'll be a reliable fantasy option late in the season since his target share remains low.
