Jaquez produced eight points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block over 25 minutes during Thursday's 125-96 loss to Milwaukee. Even with Jimmy Butler suspended, Jaquez still wasn't able to rejoin Miami's starting lineup in favor of rookie second-rounder Pelle Larsson on Thursday. Over his last four outings, Jaquez has averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 24.7 minutes. With the Heat actively shopping Butler ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline, the 2023 first-rounder could end up making additional starts for the team down the stretch of the season despite his current reserve role.

Latest Heat News
Jaime Jaquez : Lukewarm production in loss
Kel'el Ware : Continues to impress Thursday
Ware had 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 35 minutes during Thursday's 125-96 loss to the Bucks. The standout rookie big man kept his foot on the gas Thursday, piling up a team-high 22 points en route to his third double-double of the campaign. Considering Haywood Highsmith was mostly ineffective as a starter for the Heat during the first half of the season, the starting job alongside Bam Adebayo in Miami's frontcourt appears to be Ware's to lose at this point. Over his last eight contests, Ware has averaged 14.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.1 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes while shooting 55.1 percent from the field.
Tyler Herro : Leads team with nine assists
Herro (groin) provided 21 points (6-19 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and nine assists over 32 minutes during Thursday's 125-96 loss to the Bucks. After missing his first game of the season in Tuesday's loss to Portland, Herro paced the Heat with nine assists and four three-pointers while falling a lone point shy of the team lead in the scoring column. With Jimmy Butler's (suspension) future with the Heat up in the air, Herro has taken over as Miami's top scoring option as he pushes for his first career All-Star recognition in 2024-25. Across his last seven appearances, Herro has averaged 26.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 4.3 three-pointers while shooting 41.7 percent from downtown.
Pelle Larsson : Moving to starting role
Larsson is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bucks. The rookie out of Arizona will start for the first time in his career. He's averaging 4.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 13.0 minutes per game this season, but he's likely to see an expanded role as a starter.
Terry Rozier : Reverts back to bench Thursday
Rozier will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Bucks. The veteran guard drew the start for Tyler Herro (groin) during Tuesday's loss to Portland, though he'll retreat to the bench in Herro's return. Over his last 10 outings (eight starts), Rozier has averaged 11.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists, shooting 41.3 percent from the field in 27.7 minutes per game.
Tyler Herro : Good to go Thursday
Herro (groin) is available for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Herro will return to action after missing his first game of the year in Tuesday's loss to Portland. The star guard has recorded three outings with 30-plus points in his last five appearances, during which he has averaged 27.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.4 threes while shooting 55.1 percent from the floor in 34.8 minutes per contest.
Keshad Johnson : Will suit up Thursday
Johnson (shoulder) is available for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Johnson doesn't have a big role in the rotation and isn't expected to see many minutes unless the game turns into a blowout. Thus, Johnson's availability shouldn't affect many fantasy decisions.
Jimmy Butler : Two-game ban confirmed
The Heat confirmed Wednesday that Butler has been suspended for games Thursday in Milwaukee and Saturday in Brooklyn due to a "continued pattern of disregard of team rules, insubordinate conduct and conduct detrimental to the team." Butler's latest suspension comes after he missed the Heat's flight to Milwaukee on Wednesday. The six-time All-Star was previously suspended for seven games earlier this month, which stemmed from multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team. Butler has made it no secret that he desires to be traded, and while the Heat have been listening to offers, it's unclear if the organization has made much headway in finding the 35-year-old forward a new home in advance of the Feb. 6 trade deadline. Butler will be eligible to resume playing for the Heat in Monday's game against the Magic, but given the ongoing friction between player and team, it's unclear if he'll immediately be back in action next week.
