The veteran edge rusher has limited time remaining to get back to full health before Saturday's road wild-card matchup against the Ravens. Heyward tallied 8.0 sacks across 17 regular-season appearances, so his availability will be pivotal to Pittsburgh's chances of getting pressure on opposing quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Boswell did not practice Wednesday due to an illness, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Boswell still has a couple of days to shake off the illness before Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens. With the Steelers having not yet added other kicker to the active roster or practice squad, the team seemingly isn't too concerned about Boswell's availability for the playoff opener. Boswell was one of the top kickers in the NFL during the regular season, converting on 41 of 44 field-goal attempts, including a 13-for-15 success rate from 50-plus yards.
Pruitt (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Pruitt was limited in practice Tuesday due to a knee issue, and he appears to have now taken a step backward in his recovery. If the veteran No. 3 tight end is unable to play during Saturday's wild-card road game against the Ravens, his absence will deplete Pittsburgh's depth behind Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington.

It's early enough in the week that the veteran defensive lineman will likely be able to recover from the ailment adequately enough to suit up in Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Ravens, though it nonetheless bears monitoring his practice status throughout the remainder of the week. Heyward was once again a key member of the Steelers' pass rush with 8.0 sacks during 17 regular-season games.
Wilson (hamstring) was a full practice participant Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Wilson is still on IR, where he's been since late October. He was designated to return Dec. 31 and was a full practice participant all last week but was held out of Pittsburgh's Week 18 loss to Cincinnati. Wilson appears to be recovered from his hamstring injury, but Pittsburgh would need to activate him off IR in order for the depth receiver to be able to play in Saturday's wild-card contest in Baltimore.
Lee (calf) was a full participant at the Steelers' practice Tuesday. Lee was designated to return from injured reserve last week, practicing in a limited capacity. The linebacker's ability to open the week as a full participant is a good sign for his chances to be activated from IR prior to Saturday's matchup with the Ravens. Lee has missed the entirety of his rookie season to this point while nursing a calf injury.
Holcomb (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Holcomb was unable to play during the 2024 regular season while recovering from a knee injury that he suffered in Week 9 of the 2023 campaign. However, he did have his 21-day practice window to return from the PUP list last week and was a limited participant in practice. Given his ability to log a full practice Tuesday, Holcomb is trending towards being available for Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens.
Pruitt (knee) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice. Pruitt likely picked up the injury during the Steelers' Week 18 loss to the Bengals. He'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation ahead of Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens. For most of the 2024 regular season, Pruitt served as a blocking tight end and third on the Steelers' depth chart behind Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington. Pruitt ended the regular season with six catches (on 10 targets) for 40 yards and one touchdown across 12 games in his first season in Pittsburgh.
