It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under - and this week we have a sketch for you:

Ich habe hier die süße Tilda Makes a Blueberry Blanket und den Old Swedish Chair kombiniert. Und passend zum Thema Nähen habe ich dann auch meine Embellishments gewählt: eine kleine Garnrolle mit Nadel, Stoff und Spitze, etwas Tüll und ein aufgenähtes Label mit dem Text "you're SEW sweet". Und ich weiß auch schon, wer diese Karte bekommt...

I combined Tilda Makes A Blueberry Blanket and the Old Swedish Chair here. And matching the sewing theme I picked my embellishments: a little garn roll with a needle, fabric and lace, some tulle and a sewn on label with the text "you're SEW sweet". And I know who will get this card....

Auch an diesem Sonntag-Morgen gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Paper doilies, also Papierspitzen, sollt Ihr diesmal bitte verwenden.

Hello dear ones!
Also this sunday starts off with a new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. And this week we ask you to use paper doilies.

Ich habe eine Spitze als Grundgerüst für meine Karte verwendet und darum eine runde Karte gemacht. Natürlich ist noch eine runde Karte darunter...
Ich bin absolut urlaubsreif, habe aber auf der anderen Seite keine Ahnung, wohin unsere Reise diesmal gehen soll. Darum bin ich zumindest auf meiner Karte ein wenig um die Welt gereist. Und obwohl Vespas ja eher nach Italien gehören, habe ich im Hintergrund einen ausgestanzten Eifelturm gesetzt. Vielleicht auch deshalb, weil Poststempel und Briefmarke beide mit Paris beschriftet sind. Und bis aufs Motiv bin ich farblich bei schön nostalgischen Brauntönen geblieben.

I used a large paper doily as my background and so I decided to make a round card. Of course there is a round "real" card underneath the doily.
I am really ready for some vacation but we have no idea yet where to go this year. So I went on a little trip while making my card. And even if those Vespas belong to Italy I put a die cut Eifel Tower on the card. Maybe because both, the stamp and the postage stamp (he he, how do you make a difference in those in english?) have written Paris on them. And beside the image I went with a nostalgic range of browns.

 Ich habe heute eine kleine Szene gemacht - Flip Flop Tilda auf einem Steg sitzend am Strand, dahinter eine Palme... Die Palme ist einer der neuen Stempel von Whiff Of Joy und paßt hier einfach prima! Den Rest habe ich dann einfach frei dazu gemacht.

I made a little scene today: Flip Flop Tilda on a bench at the beach, a palm tree behind her. The palm tree is one of the new stamps by Whiff Of Joy. The rest of the scene has been made free hand.

The card I am sharing here today is the one I posted this week at Copic Marker Europe.

Ich habe darauf die Rose Garden Tilda benutzt und endlich auch einmal das Magnolia-Papier mit dem kleinen rosa Blüten. Irgendwie verwende ich die Farbkombi rosa-blau viel zu selten!

I used Rose Garden Tilda here and finally also a sheet of the cute blue Magnolia paper with the pink flowers. Don't know why, but I somehow never use blue and pink together.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 21. April 2012

Samstag - Stempeleinmaleinszeit. Und während ich über die Stempelmesse in Stuttgart laufe hoffe ich, dass der Post problemlos online geht.
Unser Tutorial diesmal ist für einen Türhänger.

Saturday - time for Stempeleinmaleins. And while I have a walk over the stamp fair in Stuttgart I hope my post goes live without any problems.
This week's idea is a door hanger.

Ich habe hier ein kleines Haus von Magnolia auf die hintere Hälfte des Dream Tag von Magnolia gestempelt und davor die Mini Tilda mit Herz gesetzt. Der Text "Love turns a house into a home" ist mit dem Computer geschrieben. Den kompletten Türhänger habe ich mit weißer Crackle Paint überzogen und dann mit den kleinen Blümchen bestempelt. Passend zum Thema love und home habe ich dann noch einen Herzschloss- und einen Schlüsselcharm an einer großen Schleife oben angebracht.

I stamped the little house by Magnolia on the larger part of the Dream Tag by Magnolia and sat this Mini Tilda with heart in front of it. The saying "love turns a house into a home" was printed with my computer. The whole doorhang has been covered with Crackle Paint and then I stamped little flowers all over it. Matching the theme of love and home I added a hearshaped lock and a key to a big bow on top of the hanger.

Schönen Sonntag Morgen!
Irgendwie ballt sich dieses Wochenende alles... Macht nichts, dafür gibts mehr zu sehen! Diesmal nun mein Beitrag zu unserer neuen Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. "Banners & flags" ist unser neues Thema. Und darum habe ich diese Girlande gemacht.

I have a bunch of cards to show you this weekend, right? But it's okay, so you don't get bored. LOL This time I am sharing my creation for our new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. "Banners & flags" is the theme - and so I made this boy banner.

Man, das ist ganz schön schwer zu fotografieren - entweder war der Hintergrund hässlich (soll ja nicht all zu sehr vom Motiv ablenken), oder es war zu dunkel zum Fotografieren, oder... Das oben ist noch das beste Bild, das ich vom hängenden Banner hinbekommen hab. Darum hier nochmal eines liegend auf dem Tisch (wenn Ihr auf das Bild clickt, dann könnt Ihr es größer sehen):

Oh boy, this was so hard to get a picture of - either the background was ugly (don't want it to take all the attention from the banner), or it was too dark to take a picture, or... The one above was the best I could take from the banner hanging. So here I have another one of it lying on the table (if you click on the picture you'll get a larger view):

Endlich habe ich den süßen Edwin mit dem Flugzeug verwendet - und ganz jungs-typisch in blau/türkis und weiß coloriert. Etwas kräftiger als geplant, aber das paßte dann ganz gut zu den Papieren. Die Buchstaben sind mit der Cricut geschnitten und mit kleinen Punkten von Stampin'Up bestempelt.
Also Kai, ich hoffe, es wird ein Junge! ;)

I finally used the cute Edwin with his plane - and colored him typical boy-ish in blue/turquoise and white. It turned out a bit brighter than planned but it matched great with the papers. The letters have been cut with my Cricut and I stamped little spots by Stampin'Up on them.
So Kai, I hope it will be a boy! ;)

Meine Große wird heute nämlich 17...

My oldest is turning 17 today...

Für meine Karte heute habe ich dieses süße Motiv von Magnolia verwendet und es für den Vintage-Look nicht auf weißen, sondern cremefarbenen Cardstock (Very Vanilla von Stampin'Up) gestempelt. Darauf läßt sich mit Copics ebenso prima colorieren und doch hat das ganze dann einen "alten" Touch.

Die Postkarte ist ein Stempel von Whiff Of Joy.

For my card I used this cute image by Magnolia. For the vintage look I didn't stamp her on white cardstock but I used Very Vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up instead. You can color on this one with your Copics as well and it will add a vintage touch.

Hallo Ihr Lieben - und wunderschönen 1. Advent!
Heute heißt unsere  Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under "let it snow".
Wirklich zufrieden bin ich mit meiner Karte nicht, aber nachdem unsere Katze von einem Auto angefahren wurde, nicht sicher war ob sie überhaupt überlebt und wir jetzt einen 100%igen Pflegefall zu Hause haben war an Basteln wie gewohnt nicht zu denken. Wir hoffen auf jeden Fall, dass sich alles doch noch zum Guten wendet!

Hello dear ones - and a happy 1st of advent!
Our new theme over at Magnolia Down Under is "let it snow".
I am not really happy with how my card turned out but our cat was hit by a car last friday, for several days we were unsure if she'll survive and now we have her home but she needs 24/7 care - so crafting like usual wasn't possible. But we hope that everything will turn to good!

Ich hatte diese schöne Tür noch nie benutzt und nachdem bei TOMIC das Thema u. a. hieß ein Magnolia-Tier zu benutzen, kam mir die Idee die beiden süßen Vögelchen mit der Tür zu kombinieren. Keine Tilda, kein Edwin heute, aber trotzdem eine Magnolia-Weihnachtskarte.
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und von Papercrafts Scandinavia.

I hadn't used this cute christmas door scene yet and since the theme at TOMIC was also to use an animal by Magnolia I got the idea of combining the two birds with the door scene. No Tilda, no Edwin but still a Magnolia christmas card.

Nun aber zu meiner Karte... Wer sagt, daß Sketche immer nur auf quadratischen Karten angewendet werden können? Ich habe einen der momentan recht populären Riesen-Tags gemacht. Die süße Tilda paßte hier prima und so ist der Tag schön sommerlich geworden.

Okay, here´s a bit about my card.... Who said that you can´t use a sketch on anything than a square/rectangle card? So I decided to make on of those big tags that are quite popular at the moment. This cute Tilda was perfect in size and so this tag ended up with a very summer-ish touch.
