Nice gams, eh? When I found this table my first thought was "Karl Springer" but that turned up nothing with a quick search. Then I remembered Pace! Not a fancy desinger but still a well respected name in the design world.

Well, After Another Particularly Dry Spell (I Guess I Should Figure Out If It's Some Sort of A Pattern, Right?) Things Are Once Again Flowing. I Picked Up This Fabuous Chrome And Glass Pace Coffee Table After Work Monday Evening. It's Quite Heavy. Status: Available.

Wow! New Upholstery And Cleaned Up Frames...What A Difference! These Shelby Williams Gazelle Chairs Were In...Well, Let's Say Distressed Condition When I Brought Them Home. Thanks To Jeff's Mad Skills, They Look Fantastic Now! Status: Available!
Right, there was 11 before...but these chairs didn't upholster themselves. I traded Jeff (our awesome upholstery guy) 7 of the chairs for his efforts in sprucing up 4 for me. Everybody Happy!!!

Not Hallowen Weekend (Mr M Was In New Orleans) But The Previous Weekend We Made It To The Litchfield "Pickers Market". Not Sure If That Description Is The Sellers Or The Buyers...But I Found Some Good Pickins'! Status: Available.
Again, we didn't find a whole lot there...but it's such a nice market with all kinds of great stuff including food and entertainment. If you get a chance to go next season I highly recommend doing so.

Oh Wow, This Is The Last Of The Rutledge Flea Market Goodies. And Good Stuff It Is Indeed. You All Know Mr. Modtomic Loves The Corning Ware Buffet Server Stuff, Right? Status: Tossed On The Pile.
Christ, I really don't even know how much of this Buffet Server stuff I have right now! I need to get it all together one of these days and do a tally I guess. Well, add Two more really cool pieces to the lot!

What Can I Say, I've Been Lazy. But I'm Still Posting! I Mean, Just Look! Some Smalls I've Picked Up, The Best Of Which Would Be A Fantastic Set Of Norman Bleckner Bookends. Status: Available.
Some of this lot has been sitting around here for a lil bit and some of it just recently found its way into the fray. The candle holder and platter are fairly recent finds but the bookends have been sitting in a small paper bag since last Halloween!

The Nashville Flea Didn't Yield Too Much Loot, But Then It Did Seem To Be Just A Larger Version Of The Fleas We Have Here At Home. Still, If There ARE Any Nice Vintage Modern Items To Be Had, Such As This Pair Of Sonneman Table Lamps...Mr. M Is Gonna Find It! Status: Gone.
I just dropped off this beautiful pair of Robert Sonneman / Kovacs bubble table lamps at The Green Shag Market today. Not something you expect to find at a flea market, but they look right at home in the booth!

We Made Our First Flea Market Visits Of The Season Last Weekend. It Being So Early In The Season, It Was No Surprise We Didn't Come Home Overloaded With Goodies. Still, This Little Double Gooseneck Desk Lamp Was A Nice Find. Status: Gone.
Dang but I had a lot of lamps hangin' around here waiting to head down to the booth at The Green Shag Market. I say "Had" 'cuz I finally took a load of them and some other good stuff down there just this afternoon.

Our Good Friend Illuminate Nabbed This Collection Of Blue Heaven Dishes For Me A While Back And I Just Now Got Around To Unpackaging Them. It's An Unussual Set, But That's What You Get When You Shop Second Hand...Right?! Status: Collected.
Illuminate came by for our annual Nightmare Before Christmas party and brought with her 3 bags from the Goodwill. I remember her texting me about some Blue Heaven she had spotted at a thrift a while back but had forgotten all about it. What a strange "set".

The VERY Day We Were To Have Our Annual Nightmare Before I Had To Take A Couple Hours And Pick Up This Pair Of Adrian Pearsall Style Lounge Chairs. Status: GONE.
Yes, this fabulous pair of living room chairs are currently available in my booth at The Antique Mall of Creve Coeur. It took great effort to get them there too, since I should have been cleaning the house in preparation for our yearly Halloween / Christmas party.

As Promised Yesterday, Here's A Little Walk Through Tour Of Loisel Vintage Modern - New Orleans. Here In The Big Easy, This Is The Joint Where You'll Find What You're Looking For! Status: Well Stocked.
If you've been reading Mr. Modtomic for about Four years you may remember this place as Neophobia. While the name and ownership have changed, the good stuff inside is still the good stuff!

What A Gorgeous Weekend! Yesterday We Spent The Day Driving From Craigslist Buy To Craigslist Buy...Plus A Little Thirfting Thrown In For Good Measure. Status: Double Score.
What I picked up was the splendid new (yes, NIB for $225 w/ Zoom Lens Kit!) Nikon 1 J3 camera that I shot this fantastic Sonneman Orbiter floor lamp with. The camera took us to Edwardsville Il. and then we had to tool all the way down to Festus Mo. to pick up the Sonneman score. Lots of driving.

It's Been A Little While Since I've Done A "Not My Turf" Post. Here's One From Madison Wisconsin And There's Lots Of Good Stuff To Be Had. Status: Check It Out!
Yes, Greeting indeed! Why does it seem that the more northerly cities have more cool vintage modern? Not that there's no good stuff in the south...why, Mr. Modtomic just dropped about 10 ads on the New Orleans craigslist! Yup, shameless self promotion. Anybody between StL. and NOLA need me to bring them anything around Halloween?!

I Find The Happy Coincidences Necessary To Put This Fantastically Mod Swag Light In It's Next Home Just Crazy! Of Course The Final Move Will Be The Easiest, At Least From My Perspective! Status: Available.
This super mod swag lamp came from the same home as the last four chairs I've featured here. I tol' ya! I cleaned the joint out! Today I got to thinking about the long journey it took for me to get there. Want the condensed version? Yeah, I don't have THAT much time either!

Wanna See What $8.50 Got Mr. Modtomic At The Goodwill This Afternoon? No, It Wasn't An Epic Haul But Neither Was It Too Shabby For An Unscheduled Stop. Status: Satisfied.
You KNOW Mr. M cannot resist some silver fade Dorothy Thorpe style bar ware! The funny thing is, they were half the price of the "rocks" glasses I picked up too. Both the cashier and myself could do little more than twist our faces up In bemusement and shrugg.

Nope, I'm Not Done With The Good Stuff From The 127 Corridor WLYS...But I Am Taking A Quick Break. I Picked Up This Fantastic Set Of Stainless Steel And Leather Chairs Over The Weekend And Have Already Tagged Them Up And Dropped Them Off At CCAM. Status: Available.
Yesterday was quite a busy day. Not necessarily work busy...but once we got going it was fairly non stop. After a brunch at the Girlfriend's Mom's we had to hustle to get over to the Creve Coeur Antique Mall to pull these out, clean them up, photograph them, tag 'em up and find some room for them in the booth. Then we had to tool home to grab up some lawn chairs to sit in at the Drive In. Phwew!

Lacking A Lot Of Vintage Modern Larger Items I Had To Look For More Interesting Items As An Alternative. This Live Edge Coffee Table Was One of Those Great Finds. The Little Bulova Clock...Bonus! Status: Flea Booty.
This coffee table is the largest and most expensive item I managed to pick up over the weekend. I managed to bundle (thanks American Picker Frank Fritz) it with another item to get the price right. I feel like I should have brought more home, but this is just the start.

I'm Not Really Aching To Be Rid Of This Just Wore Enough To Finally Be Interesting Falcon Chair, But Space At Home Has It's Limitations So It's In My Booth At The Shag. Status: Everything Has It's Price.
I finally caved and replaced a vintage sofa we've been using for years with the MUCH more comfortable Gus Modern unit I was making available until recently. Since I also had the matching chair (and can't bear to break up a set) I had to shift the chair that WAS where the Gus piece needed to go. Hence the availability of the most prized (I guess not MOST prized) Sigurd Ressel Falcon chair.

So No, It's Not A Milo Baughman Chair As Thought Perhaps It Might Be By The Previous Owner. And It's Not A Mies Van Der Rohe Brno Chair Either. It's Kind Of A Mash Up! Status: Available.
We spotted this chair quite a while back at a local consignment / resale shop in St. Chuck. I inquired about the price since it didn't have a tag at the time. They told me it was available on eBay at the time. I checked eBay and did indeed find it, but not at a price I was going to be interested in paying!

What Is It About These Rorschach Test Looking Cow Hide Rugs? I Find Myself Inexplicably Drawn To Them. I Imagine Many Of You Do Too, But Probably Just As Many Probably Can't Stand Them. Status: Somewhat Controversial.
This is the Fourth hide rug that I've brought home so far. All Three of my full size ones have come from Craigslist and my little one (about the size of bath mat!) was found at the Wentzville Flea. I know that not everybody digs these and I don't know why I feel like they go so well with mid century modern, but I'm totally smitten with them.

Sunday's Visit To The Wentzville Flea Yeilded Some Interesting Results. Nothing Big Or Epic, But Some Pretty Cool Stuff None The Less. Status: Retro Smallsville!
The Wentzville flea has finally hit it's stride. The last two Sundays have been well attended by the vendors which is a big 180 from the few couple weekends we had previously seen. I still didn't find much, but I do find myself being a bit pickier these days.
