Recorded in sound demonstration quality this is the documentary of Greg Lake’s last tour, recorded on November 28, 2012 in a sold out Teatro Municipale in Piacenza. It was a very special, magical evening, as Greg remembered in his outstanding autobiography, Lucky Man. The concert was a triumph and eventually on January 9, 2016 the trustees of Conservatorio Nicolini of Piacenza gave Greg Lake the first honorary degree ever given by a Conservatorio.

This is a wonderful record, bringing the “Songs Of A Lifetime” project to its highest point. Exclusively for this concert, Greg performed with some special guests: Le Orme’s leader Aldo Tagliapietra, ex PFM and Acqua Fragile’s great vocalist Bernardo Lanzetti and the young and talented Annie Barbazza, making the Piacenza show even more special and rare.

Todd Rundgren, Larry Fast (Peter Gabriel), David Sancious, Thijs Van Leer (Focus), Sonja Kristina (Curved Air), Patrick Moraz (Yes), Brian Auger, Geoff Downes (Yes), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theatre), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theatre) and several more high profile progressive music artists have gotten together to record A Tribute To Keith Emerson & Greg Lake.

Keyboardist Keith Emerson (The Nice, ELP) and vocalist and guitarist/bassist Greg Lake (King Crimson, ELP) were part of one of the finest progressive rock groups of all time, Emerson Lake and Palmer. They both died in 2016.

Producer Billy Sherwood brought these artists together to celebrate the careers of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake. The music selection includes King Crimson’s “21st Century Schizoid Man,” ELP’s “Karn Evil #9” and the hit single “Lucky Man.” There is also a special performance of Fanfare For The Common Man feat. Aaron & Ethan Emerson from Emerson’s son Aaron and grandson Ethan.

From The Underground Volume 2 Deeper Into The Mine, is a second collection of rare and previously unreleased recordings dating back to 1969 and Greg Lake's days in King Crimson. Also included are several never before-heard finished studio recordings taken from the sessions for Lake's two Chrysalis solo albums released in the 1980s; rare live recordings from Emerson, Lake & Palmer; and unreleased tracks from two Greg Lake splinter projects, EL & Powell and Greg Lake's Ride The Tiger (which included Yes/ Buggles /Asia keyboardist, Geoff Downes). Among the most rare of the recordings found on From The Underground Volume 2 Deeper Into The Mine are several finished studio masters of outtakes from the two Lake Chrysalis solo albums. He was backed by his 1981/83 solo band featuring guitarist Gary Moore and also by the Grammy Award winning pop band, Toto. Also included is a 1971 studio-quality live recording of Lake's most popular group, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, doing a previously unreleased song entitled Preacher.
