Happy Birthday

My hayfever is still troubling me most days.  It isn't so bad if I don't go outside - but I can't stay inside all the time!  It isn't as bad this morning as I stayed in most of yesterday so I have had the energy to create this morning:

I have used a papr from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Aurora Wings and the sentiment is from Desert Diva.  Colouring is with copic markers with the edges of the image and sentiment inked with Distress Inks (Wild Honey).  I added some wide ribbon, a button shaped embellishment and two flower brads.

This image brings to mind Tinkerbell from Peter Pan so when the current challenge at Aurora Wings is Once Upon A Time I knew I just had to use this particular image!

I have used a paper from a paper pad.  The image is from Aurora Wings and is coloured with copic markers, Wink Of Stella and Kindy Glitz.  The sentiment is from Digital Doodling.  Matting is pearlescent paper.  I also used some blue lace and three butterfly embellishments.

Container

I needed another container for copic markers (for when they need re-inking) so crafted one from used double-sided tape rolls.  I think this one used 12 rolls.  I papier mached them together before painting and decorating.

 

I used an image from Aurora Wings which I coloured with copic markers.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also added a range of stickers and other embellishments.

Happy Mother's Day

I'm having a frustrating day.  I'm out with my laptop and forgot my wireless mouse!  I am one of those people that can just never seem to get the inbuilt mouse on a laptop to do what it is meant to do!  Typing is fine - other things not so much!

I have used a paper from a paper pack from Dovecraft.  The image is from Aurora Wings and is coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva and has a little colour added with a copic marker.  I added faux stitching to both the image and sentiment with a Reno Art Marker.  I also used a lavender grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts and some lavender pearls.

Secret Garden

I have alot of Tattered Lace Dies and very really pull them out to use - possibly because they are a bit fiddly to work with.  I decided that as I had a bit more time at the moment that it was time to start using some of them!

I used an image from Aurora Wings which I coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz. I inked the sky with Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass.  I cut the Tattered Lace die twice from metallic paper.  I used the part of the outside portion of the gate to create a lower fence line.  I also cut open the gates - probably I should have taken another photo with the gates closed as it is hard to see them open in this photo.

Erhu

My daughter has an interest in musical instruments and was showing me pictures of various instruments.  Among the instruments she was showing me was an erhu.  I immediately recognised it as the instrument in an image I have from Aurora Wings.  I think she was impressed that I had a digital stamp with an erhu in it!
