Family and Friends

It is the Midway Point of the November Challenge at Path of Positivity.  The optional twist for November is Power of Words: Family/Friends.

I have used various images of people with cats, as cats are both family and friends.  The images are from A Creative Need, Dearie Dolls, Cuddlebug Cuties, Ppinky Dolls and Little Blue Button.   The digital paper is from PixelScrapper and colouring is with copic markers.

Christmas Tags

I have been without internet since late yesterday so this post is running a bit late.

The theme this week at CHNC, is "Use Some Twine or Ribbon"

I have used a series of Christmas images from Dearie Dolls.  Colouring is with copic markers.

Summertime Girl

A nice summery card - in honour of the sun actually shining here today (although it was still fairly cold as we had a good frost this morning).

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

I have used some scrapbooking papers - not from the same set but they still work well together I think.  The image is from Dearie Dolls and is coloured with copic markers.  I added some dots around the edge of the die-cut image using a Reno Art Marker.  I matted with some pink cardstock and added some pink pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Dearie Dolls Christmas

I'm cutting it fine again for the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  But I really wanted to complete this as I found a really adorable image to use.

I have used some scrapbooking papers and some red glitter cardstock from American Crafts.  The image is from Dearie Dolls and is coloured in copic markers.  I added some Stickles to the bag, ornaments and star plus some Glossy Accents to her eyes.  I also used some green grosgrain ribbon and die-cut a poinsettia from glitter cardstock using a Memory Box die.

Here is the sketch that I followed:

New Year Celebrations

I wanted to use this digi for a New Year's card but it had 2013 on the shirt.  I got around that by using a dark green on her shirt which covered the numbers!

I'm back to using up some of my old scrapbooking papers that have small enough detail on them to be used on cards!  The image is from Dearie Dolls and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added a die-cut embellishment which I think is a Memory Box die.

Here is the sketch I worked from:

You can see I rotated it to suit the image!

Sweet Sketch Dearie Dolls

I have a few Dearie Dolls images but had only got round to using one of them before.  This image is just lovely.

The card has been based on this lovely sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

I had heaps of fun using up some papers from my stash.  I bought quite a few 30cm x 30cm scrapbooking sized papers a few years back and then never used them.  Some of them have too large a pattern to use for cards but some like these are perfect!  I decided thought that I would make a Christmas card with non christmassy papers.

The image that I have used comes from Dearie Dolls.

January 2013

Something a bit different this week.  I've always wanted to make my own calendar but never seem to get started on it!  So far, I've done January but I've got it all bound together so I can easily add the other pages.

And here is a close up of the image:

I'm entering my January calendar page into the following challenges:

The calendar template comes from WinCalendar
www.wincalendar.com

The background paper comes from Bearly Mine Designs.  I have also added a strip of glitter tape across the centre.  The image comes from Dearie Dolls and has been coloured with copic markers.  Our January is the middle of summer - usually ice-cream type weather (although last year it wasn't!)  I have added some glossy accents to the centre of the daisies.

I have kept any embellishing fairly flat as a calendar is not going to sit properly with too much weight on it.
