For You Friend

It is time for the reveal of the cards sent during the month of June by the Card Chain Challenge participants.  I sent my card to Joanne in CT.

These were the prompts for July

I have followed the sketch and the colours.  I also used the bird and friendship themes as well as the "something a friend sent you' and the stitches appear around the message on the inside of the card.

The birds are coloured digi images from Blackberry Jelly and the sentiment is by From The Heart Stamps.  The check piece in the background was sent to me by another CCC participant some time ago.  Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of who sent it to me.

I would like to enter:

Classic Design Open Challenge - August Challenge

Lia in Netherlands sent me a card in July but as I am currently away from home, I don't know whether it has arrived or not.  I don't want to ruin the surprise by looking at the card before I receive it so I haven't included it here.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I embossed some metallic silver paper using an embossing folder.  The image is from Blackberry Jelly and is coloured with copic markers.  I added some pearls to the bunny tails.  The digiral sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  I also used lots of rhinestones.

Christmas Inspirations - Green, Black and White

A colour challenge from Christmas Inspirations:

http://natalduranteoanotodo.blogspot.co.nz/2012/05/desafio-46-green-black-and-white.html

The card I made has a strong black feel to it:

I was mindlessly delivering my sons newspapers for him when he was away and created this card in my head.  Then when I got home there was the logistics of actually turning what was in my head into a card!  Fortunately for me - it worked!

The card started with a white card blank.  I have used black cardstock and a Marianne Designables combination embossing and die-cut folder to create the next layer (with some of the white card blank peaking through).  On top of this I have added this delightful image from Blackberry Jelly - called Christmas Tree 1.  I have coloured this image with three different green copic markers and added some tiny rhinestones to the tree.  The three green copics are 1 - the tree 2- the trunk (olive) 3 - the presents.  To finish the card, I have added a green bow and three larger rhinestones from the same pakc as the tiny ones - a brand called Craft Creations.
