T Stands For ... Back Off, Back!

This is a word-mix of energy and "gönnen", "treat" yourself. And with this I join Elizabeth´s T.

The journal:

Monday: Wow. Ingo is such a good window cleaner a little bird knocked right into the balcony glass... It flew into a tree and after a while flew off. Why does a bird do that, there are stickers on the glass!
Aaaaand! I am an ole bugger. Tom had to help me out with the mural and now I know there is a "Google Lens" and it also works on the PC! Thank you, Tom! All the stuff I have no idea of!

We´re together since 1994. Ingo said, "I need to pee and then go to bed." I thought, just give him a good-night-kiss there. Ingo, "Give me a pee-kiss?". Two people, one thought. ...To men peeing seated!

Tuesday: T What´sApped, so nice!
And, OMG, are we lucky we survived the carnivore drop-bears in Australia!!!!
Please give it a go, it is #1 in the following clip.
It´s a "bit" long with many repetitions per number, just skip otherwise and I can assure you... there are no drop-bears.
Maybe go with dear friend Sami and touch a koala for real in Caversham Wildlife Park

Btw I had a further training in Bielefeld - it does exist...

Wednesday: Put my CV up to date. Oh, I hate OpenOffice Word!
Other laundry, oh, my back!

Thursday: Life is crazy. Since Saturday I could not eat properly, only apple, yogurt and such. Felt very sick. This morning much better, put a Pizza-baguette in the air-fryer and phone went off:
From a short-term project in June to a 2-3 YEAR-project in July - likely!!!
I wonder... did my body sense the news? fE also told mK to hurry a bit cause she wants me back, as much as he does. I´m happy!
Also only this morning I finally set my neglected flip-calendar to the correct date - crazy, huh.
Ingo ordered the expensive chair for my private PC-place, so this fella can go to my work-place. The training at ALSTOM I did from a folding chair!

Friday: That neighbor is the dumbest, really. No one sits or plays in their garden and yet he mowed the grass and of course the daisies and dandelions. Why care for the bees. "Idjit!", as Bobby´d say.

Weekend: Saturday: It warmed up!!! 29C / 84F and Ingo not only helped me with medical heat cream (since days) for my hurting back but also with a medical corset. Hmm... cozy.
Instead of enjoying the balcony I lay in bed, back straight, reading.

At least with these glasses you can lie on you back and have the book on your stomach.

Ingo pressure washed the balcony walls. When my back is better I will paint them. The joy when you own, not rent!
First BBQ.

 AND!!!!! They survived!!!!

Sunday: Back-pain.
Ingo forgot to buy eggs, so I went to the gas station. They have beer, Schnapps, Pizza and all but no fresh eggs :-(
Spare you the sad rest. Sometimes you wish for a new life, huh.
At least I can walk again (back pain).
We could´ve had a great weekend but Ingo decided . No.
32-years-"anniversary", - no.
Oh, my back!!! Took care as best as I could....
So sad. I was ALWAYS there.....

T STands For On The Road

With this coffee in the very cool glass I join Elizabeth´s T.  Arty, huh?
You sadly can´t see it, it has Henry engraved. Better pic to come...

The journal (for in case: The sketches refer to the text):

Monday: Ingo, "I need.... I go shopping myself, you´re already in your PJs."
Me... "already?! 🤣"
Seriously - when you work / study from home and go nowhere, and it is cold and you have warm PJs... do you get dressed? What for (other Police officer forcing you out, maybe....).

Found a site where you can really help Ukraine, see here. Had a question considering my order and... got a REAL person who answered me. To volunteers! (This is no ad, I do not get paid to link this). I mean.... what else to do? There are not one but four against Ukraine (writing this on Monday, hopefully better news tomorrow,  today I am just so... pis#ed and scared).

Tuesday: Went with my doc to Hanover for a small OP (nothing serious!). Too tired to eat afterwards, despite the food was really yum! Bedneighbor was snoring and coughing all night, otherwise nice.

Wednesday: Bedneighbor took me back home to Braunschweig, jikes, traffic jam on autobahn and all other roads, took forever! After the nurse held my hand like forever, telling me to take it slow. Cute, I felt like a kiddo!

ThursdayfK brought her daughter to school and popped in for a short visit, nice!
(When I say I´m fine there is no need to check on me, but fine gesture)
At the doc... you can do the changes lying down, but, noooo. "Can you hold the bottle? Oh, and the tube. The patch, too? I got the wrong scissors!" He´s some dude! Could be my little Bro, age-wise.
TV-News: World Happiness Day... "blablabla, and some are happy when The Simpsons are on - right after the weather!"

Friday: Went without my Happy hat/beanie or Ingo´s late Granma´s scarf and maybe it was Gurri´s last time out, too - Spring has arrived.
Found a small Mexican super-yummy, fresh place in the arcades - two tacos - €5, two meals for me! Super nice Mexican guy who still learns to say "Hühnchenfleisch" - it was kinda cute, and we managed.
"I´ll be back!". Had the first one in the Spring-sun, YUM!

Ingo made "milk-meat" with omelette (post to come) - brought to my TV-place, brought out the rubbish... I feel like a princess! Ingo 🥰
Oh. Sent in lesson #3 of chunk #5.

Weekend: Saturday: Lazy day as I still need to rest. Ingo brought Namaste - yum! And a bean to plant and make a wish! Now what should I wish for? It is a ZAUBÄRBOHNE!
(Actually "Zauberbohne", a magic bean, by Bear, the guardian angel 🥰)
Indian Pacific on TV - thank you, Ingo! So I got to see a bit of the technical details after all.
When we rode the train last year I was not allowed to see it, working for ALSTOM and Deutsche Bahn did not help... Post to come (if you told me 6 years ago I´d watch a docu on trains I´d told you you´ve lost your marbles).

Sunday: Thanks to Ingo Henry is back at work! THANK YOU INGO!!!

Other... Princess #2! (I am still to sit nearly lying down):

Sorry for the bad light... it was really yummy! Harzkäse is what I hated as child, but now I love it.  LOL, Wiki: "Harzer cheese is a German sour milk cheese made from low fat curd cheese, which originates in the Harz mountain region south of Braunschweig."

Die Maus and Fairy tale and CHUZPE (People need meatballs!) with Dieter Hallervorden. Bitter-sweet Jewish movie (accent included) about getting old - sadly German only, in my version. To laugh, to cry, to have hope!! Wish I had had a Granddad...

"Sorry, I have to work... ummm, I CAN work!"

If you ever see Dieter Hallervorden listed as actor: Great movie guaranteed!

The post-title?
What normal people without a car have to do:
  • Walk to the tram,
  • with that to train station,
  • walk to and
  • wait for train, hop on, endure noisy peeps,
  • hop off, walk to bus/tram, hop on, endure... ,
  • walk to hospital.
  • Vise versa.
Lucky me: Walk to the doc, hop in his car, chat nicely, hop in bedneighbor´s car (get stuck) and hop off in front of my door.
I.Am.Thankful!!!

More munchy:

Normal portion made 5 meals. YUMMY meals.

The new series - very fitting for today:

"Are these the worst decisions in history?

The Implementation of Prohibition

The introduction of Prohibition in the United States on January 17, 1920, made it illegal to manufacture, transport, or sell alcohol. However, Prohibition didn't stop people from drinking alcohol, and an underground drinking culture quickly took root, based on a thriving black market. The decision to dry up America was finally reversed on December 5, 1933."

Cheers! That was quite a long time!!!

Henry 🦁

  What a week!

T-STands For ChaoTic

A tad too sweet, but a warming drink with which I join Elizabeth´s T.
And, as you can see, teapot always ready, yikes, glad summer starts next week for us!!! I am sick of the cold!

The journal:

Monday: LOL. Saw C - with whom I had a project - is online shortly after 06:00 a.m.
Thought he is at the customer and wondered why he is "green" in ESE-teams, contacted him.
Kaboom, he called, added W, nice long chat - socializing, right?
THAT is a good start to the week! 🥰
Sadly both confirmed Alstom Salzgitter is in big trouble...
Later looong chat with fK. And also J has had it with mK now.
It´s Kindergarten with him. It´s J´s "ball" now. I do as told and don´t waste brain into this anymore.
Bro called again 🥰

Tuesday: fK and admin T (aT) tried to help me with my trouble with mK (who started all over causing troubles).
Nobody likes him, it is weird. No one stands up against him, either.
aT found VERY clear words (he knows him personally, too).
fK said, that´s what friends are for and I just do know without questioning anymore, except... executive H said, "WHY did you do that? It´s IT´s job!!!" So at least "high up" someone is aware of the nonsense that dude mK causes.
I SO want ESE to keep me I need to explain myself. Right? mK pretends he is dead still.
Kindy! He has no guts.

Wrote to fK: "Boah, such a waste of time!!" - autocorrect made it "Bochum, such a waste of time!!" 🤣

Bochum is a mining-town in the west near Düsseldorf. LOL! My T found the book "Autocorrect-Fails" and will give it back to me - happy times to come!" Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the very few German singers/songwriters I really like.

Ingo let me know there is a docu on the MV Gustloff. 2000 people the ship was supposed to take.

In the weird WWII they wanted to  take 8000+.
In the end 10 000 they took.
"The Russians" knew there were refugees on her and shot her to sink.
Biggest tragedy in ship history,  6 times more people than on the titanic.
My Granma had decided: We stick together in the frickin´ cold with the Russians on the way and wait for the next ship, this one is full.
Go figure. I learned this in a side-note.
Thanks to her wisdom I exist.

Wednesday: fK and aT (admin T) gave me advise on how to handle mK again, we changed the course.
aT: "Do it NOW. Else it will bug you all afternoon!"  - "Nah, I´ll watch 'Ghost Whisperer' in the original :-)" - "Oh, the one with Jennifer Love Hewitt?"
I LOVE men who watch and admit they do watch such "women-stuff". Same with Gilmore Girls (Ingo liked, too), also he likes truffle. And Keanu Reaves. He must be my secret Brother! It´s the one who takes care of Great-Granpa, aka my Aussie-Lenovo.
Did I ever mention I love my work and colleagues (minus one)?

Thursday: aT and fK really do care in so many ways! Not only because of stupid mK, aT knows my cam broke and really tries to find me a good one for Perth!
Doorbell.
I admit!!!! It´s cold, I´m in my grey PJs with the white and pink hearts again.
Doorbell!!! Where are my jeans?????? Panic-mode. Biberpost.
Doorbell!!! What the heck does Ingo order all the time?" Postman, two packages!
I am ALWAYS afraid now a police officer will stand there, tell me to get dressed and out as the house is on fire!!!! Or worse, a firefighter!
Summer, please, I want summer, then I´m properly in a skirt!
I should always grab purse and keys and phone when the doorbell rings - or is that too much panic?
fK had a very important work-date and kept me up to date - we are there for each other. She said she likes to be my friend 🥰
aT asked when I´m at aab16 - I think Germans like abbreviations? 😉
aab16 stands for "Am Alten Bahnhof 16", where our company sits.

Friday: Got a lot done at work, had a nice chat with fK, with aT.
Ingo went to the city and when he was out the door I thought, "gaaaaah! I should´ve asked for a dish from NAMASTE!".
Phone, Ingo, "want something from NAMASTE?" - Best birthday-pressie ever! Not only because it was yummy, but because it shows: Ingo cares!
Bro called, later Bro again with the Nieces, too.

Ingo also said he hopes I do not snore - last time I snored so slow he was wondering how I can breathe that long 🤣 Embarrassing and funny. Obviously I´m sportive with huge lungs.

Weekend: Saturday: INGO!!!!! Phone: "now what would you like from NAMASTE? I hand you over to the chef." - Boom, I talk to them personally via phone!!
Am I thankful there was/is COVID and I hence learned to communicate without seeing people, even if they have an accent! It was just a mini-accent, but... I´m really not good with that (hello Australia, here we come 😉)
Finally made it to Cathy´s blog and she made me remember this bitter-sweet fairy tale "The little girl with the matchsticks", as we both took part in Rain´s theme (I had this).

Sunday: Slept in. Soooo tired these days. Think it´s the fear of the fire-seminar and the journey to Perth itself. It costs so much energy.
So literally all I did was watching Löwenzahn and Die Maus, doing the journal and preparing food for Ingo. Oh, and took care of bank-stuff.
Reckon your Sunday was better, at least I had still food from NAMSTE!

Art-wise...

 I´ll take this to Perth.

No promise, but if I feel like it, I´ll join you :-)

Clever concept, don´t you think?

Henry 🦁

It is ridiculous, I was never ever so nervous to travel!
Wish me luck all goes well and have a happy T-Day!
Deutsche Bahn (railway) will be on strike from tomorrow on for a week!

T STands For Clear Desk

With this yummy drink I join Elizabeth´s T!
For real I went in once, saw the prices, turned and left. Is there gold in their coffee?
(The?) two Starbucks-stores in town have closed.
But this was yummy! 🥰

The journal:

Monday: Good news: I am not dumb!!! The whole weekend I thought I was, but Admin T said it was Telekom´s fault my work-smartphone did not work!
So, went again and got a new one and this time we installed everything together.
Met 4 colleagues for real, and boy, some act totally different from teams in real life.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...
Also met one of the bosses.
80 minutes brisk walking counts as sport. (Payed sport!!!)

Tuesday: Fun with Admin T. Got loads of work done, but... Tired, soooo tired. Is it this dark, grey weather?
Managed to force myself to 4 sessions of training in hopes I´ll feel better the next day.

I do it like this now (in case you need inspiration):
Left monitor: picture-slideshow - of a holiday, food or such.
Right monitor: left side: TV-program, right side the sports-program. If TV gets interesting I interrupt.

Fully awake after sport, Supernatural, bed.
Same with you? Come bedtime... fully awake, I hate this!

Wednesday: Fun with Admin T, work moderate for both of us hence...
Nice teams-chat with K, too.
Still made good progress at work.
4 sessions of sport.
08:09 p.m. door-bell. Thought, GACK! Mistaken as LIGHT again!
Went anyways.
Main-door opened, person put on light, stepped up to me, showed his ID and said he´s the bailiff - WHAT???? -  if I know a Mr. M and where he lives...
What crap working hours does this man have? And what a shit#y job, too.

Thursday: Work was exhausting and frustrating, but we´ll find ways.
Teams-chat with K on studies on diverse thinking.

Lunch: Threw quickly some on-the hand-stuff together, like a "frittata", flipped with the €2 plastic-plate > three meals, old stuff used up yummily.
Later  was SO tired.
Made myself to do training > felt refreshed. Thank you, stubborn brain, it did me very good!

Friday: ...03:00 a.m., church-bells ringing, someone yelling outside... repeating sleepy-head:  "There was a clown-beating?!!!" - "oh, no, not again..." - "... Town meeting!!"
That´s how my weekend started after work (with Gilmore Girls).
What a day. I needed one-on-one help with the phone, LOL, with cam on! I think Admin T has fun also! ;-) Yes. You can say I have my private Admin!
Nice chat with K and found a great tutorial. Same ole, though, I see everything in English just to find a newer surface and in German.
Lunch: quickly threw a Brussel´s Sprouts-soup together with the rests, three more meals!

Hence... lunch-pic:

Ingo does not like it... more for myself?

Weekend: Saturday: We want to make Soljanka. Grocery-store REWE has just crappy letscho, so I went to EDEKA. Huuuuge store, where to find letscho? Finally asked. The young girl looked like a cow in lightning (German saying?), "What is letscho???" - showed me to another staff. As young as her, no idea either. He gave me his cell and asked me to write it down, boy, really?! So, now we had a pic.... long story short, after some search dude #3 finally found it.
Recipe on on Thursday - was  YUM!

Sunday: Met W. He came rolling in by push-bike! And easily made it up the three flights of stairs. I hope I´ll be as fit at 85! He told me to tell Ingo to clear the kitchen table. Ingo did - finally, yippee! (It´s my Grandma´s).
Other a quiet day.

You see...
My Mom was a messie, maybe due to growing up in WW II, fleeing to Germany (from "the Russians" btw) etc, etc...
Our home looked so bad, Bro never invited friends over in later years (when we were little Mom did her best, but let go later).
Ingo is chaotic. He knows exactly where what is, but the chaos makes me sick.
He can have chaos in his work-room, but I WANT..I NEED kitchen and hall clear.
When you feel ashamed to let neighbors in... that´s no good, is it.
We finally have a start in eliminating the chaos.. we have a lift-off!!!

Henry 🦁

To a happy T-day!
And yes. We have a telly in the kitchen.
I grew up like that. I was born early 1970´s - we had a TV at the dining table.
