Baby Showers

The time is ticking down and we are getting SOOOOOO excited to have our little girl enter our lives.  I am now 36 weeks along and can't wait for this baby to come!
One thing I have had a lot of trouble with is forgetting that I am not skinny anymore and I try to "squeeze" by people and things...I end up knocking them over...so sorry, I forget that I have a huge tummy sticking out!
We have had a few baby showers and have gotten some awesome things.  We are especially excited for the new crib that is coming this week!

This past weekend Ben's grandma, Shirley, threw us a baby shower.  It was a ton of fun.  We played all sorts of games and laughed a ton.  I didn't take any pictures because I am a slacker, but I did take some once I got home.

This is the most amazing diaper cake i have EVER seen!  I loved how she tucked little odds and ends into the layers.  Ben's Aunt Pam made this...can I just say talented!!

One game that we played...well I guess that it wasn't really a game, but everyone guessed a date and time of when the baby would come and whoever guesses the closest gets to go out to lunch with Ben's grandma.  Well as we started reading through the cards there was one that was HILARIOUS, because  according to this card the baby would never be born...

Hopefully this card doesn't come true!!! :o)
We had a fun time on Saturday.  We just wanted to thank all of those who have thrown us baby showers...we are so thankful for all of the wonderful things that we have gotten.
FOUR more weeks!!!  I am SOOOO excited!

It's come & gone

It's hard to believe that the holiday season has already come and gone.  We had a very eventful holiday season.
KALLIE'S WEDDING
We left on the 18th of December for Utah.  On the 19th Kallie (Ben's little sister) got married.  They were married in the Draper temple (it's gorgeous).  It was such a  cold but beautiful day.  My feet ached by the end of the day but it was great to be there for Kallie's wedding.  We are so excited for her and Danny.
Here they are as they just came out of the temple officially as Mr. & Mrs. Jackson
This is Ben and his siblings Brad, Crystal, and Kallie.  (Danny is the tall one in the middle)
These little guys were the greeters/present takers...they were so cute and had a little bit too much fun together.
On this same day I finally had my most embarassing moment.  When the reception was over with, we were putting away/taking down chairs and tables.  I was exhausted by then and hardly functioning.  Well I saw Ben as I was passing by and slapped him on the butt.  I went and grabbed a couple of other chairs and looked back and saw that Brad (Ben's dad) was standing right where I thought Ben had been standing when I slapped his butt.  I walked over to Ben and asked him if I had just slapped his butt a few seconds ago.  He said no.  I realized that I had just slapped my father-in-laws butt!!!  I told Ben this and we started laughing and laughing!!  Ben then asked his dad if I had slapped his butt and he said, "Yeah, I was just thinking I had a very friendly daughter-in-law!!"  We all sat and laughed histarically!  Lets just say I think I turned a couple of different shades of red that night.
We stayed the rest of the weekend with Ben's family and just relaxed because to be completely honest weddings make you really, really, tired...even if you aren't pregnant!
CHRISTMAS
We then headed down to Spanish Fork to spend the holidays with my family.  Can I just say that I LOVED Christmas break.  It was so great to be with family and to relax the whole time.  We sat around and played games for hours and hours.  It was wonderful!  Here are some pictures of our relaxing break.

This is a picture of a puzzel that Ben and I put together...it was tough and took us a couple of days to get it all together.
For Christmas Eve all of my mom's family gets together and we have hamburgers and homemade fries.  I love this tradition and they are always SOOOO good.  This is Ben cooking the hamburgers at my Grandparents house.

This is a picture of my Grandpa.  Every year we play BINGO.  This is his job to be the BINGO caller and supply all of the presents that people win...he went a little overboard this year...
Their counter was filled with presents...this picture doesn't do it justice...the counter was over flowing with presents for the winners!

Ben & I playing BINGO...we came away with some awesome prizes!

Christmas morning was great.  We opened presents and Ben got me some great stuff...my favorite was the game Sequence!!  I LOVE this game and was so excited when I opened it.  We had a lot of fun playing this game over Christmas Break.
This is a picture of my nephew Corbin.  Santa brought him catchers gear!  He is a little obsessed with baseball...let's just say he is going to look very professional when he shows up to play t-ball this year!!!
NEW YEARS
So I am terrible with our camera and hardly take pictures, but we had a great new years.  We went to my Grandparents house and had all kinds of yummy food.  Then for the rest of the night until midnight we played games.  It was so much fun!
It was so great to get away from Rexburg for a little bit and spend time with family, celebrate the birth of Christ, and just relax.
