Firsts

I know I post a lot about Reese, but I just can't help it! :o)  I love her so much and am so proud of all the cute things she does every day.  I love it when she does something new and I definitely love all of those firsts.  The first smile.  The first laugh.  The first spit up.  The first blowout...I don't know how much I loved that one, but its a first!  This video is of her first time really holding her head up which is a HUGE accomplishment for Reese.  She hasn't been to motivated to try and hold her head up or even move it when she does tummy time.  Usually when we lay her down on her tummy she just lays there and licks her hand.  But today was the first time she really held her head up during tummy time.  This mom is so proud!

Houston

We have been in Houston for almost a month now.  Ben is gone every day from noon until 10 or 10:30 at night (sometimes 11) selling alarm systems.  Reese and I miss him, but we try to keep busy while he is gone. 
Ben has been doing awesome and I am so grateful that he has this great job during the summer.  The hours are the pits, BUT it is nice that during the school year he doesn't have to work and can just focus on school and family.  So I guess that I can handle him being gone all of the time for just 4 months.

Houston is hot and humid.  Thankfully I don't have to be outside in the hot humid weather all day (sorry Ben).  Our apartment is super nice and has air conditioning that works beautifully.  I LOVE our apartment and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE having a washer and dryer and I LOVE LOVE LOVE having a dishwasher!!!  It is SOOO great!  Hopefully when we head back to Rexburg at the end of the summer our new apartment will have all of these wonderful accessories!  

Reese is getting so big.  She is smiling so much now.  At church on Sunday we were standing out in the hall and she caused a traffic jam in the hallway!  Everyone had to stop and tell us how cute she was.  Then when they would tell Reese that she was cute or beautiful she would give them the biggest smile!  She just LOVES it when you tell her she is cute or beautiful!

  I was trying to get a video of Reese lifting her head up but unfortunately she doesn't like to perform for the camera, so all this is is her making grunting noises and smiling. Enjoy!

Our little Reese

Reese just had her 2 month check-up last week.  She also received her immunizations which just broke my heart.  Reese hardly ever cries but when she got the shots she screamed and even had a tear running down her cheek...so sad. 

But our little girly is doing excellent!  She now weights 11 lbs. 2 oz. which puts her in the 25th percentile.  She is 23 1/2 inches tall putting her in the 75th percentile.  In other words we have a very tall and skinny girl.

Things that Reese loves to do are the following:

• she LOVES to talk.  She will sit and talk and tell stories to me and Ben for a long time
• She love to smile 
• She would rather suck on her hands than suck on her pacifier.
• She loves to sleep.  She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old....I am so blessed!
• She loves to take baths and tries to splash her mom and dad by kicking her legs
• She loves to cuddle.

We love our little girl so much!  And yes we do spoil her, but how could you not spoil someone so cute!  We can hardly believe our baby is two months old!!!
