Half Birthday

Our Little Miss Reeser Piecer is 6 months old!!!
Holy Smokes where has the time gone?P

I feel like it was just yesterday that they put her in my arms for the first time and then I blinked and she is now half of a year!
We went to the dreaded doctor today and Reese did so well with her shots.  Reese has grown so much in the last two months.
Height: 25.5 inches
Weight:  15 lbs. 8 oz.
This is such a fun age because her personality is really starting to come out now and it is so fun.
She has become so interested in EVERYTHING that we are doing.  She is constantly grabbing at things that we are doing and wanting to play with them.  She is getting into everything that is in reach.
We put her in the bathroom with us while we get ready in the morning and she thinks it is quite interesting when we brush our teeth.  I usually give her Ben's toothbrush while I brush my teeth...
{As you can see she knew exactly what to do with it}

Reese loves to put things into her mouth.  Whatever she gets a hold of it goes straight to her mouth.  I think it is so funny that babies explore things with their mouths.  Well we have nicknamed her the goat because of that.
She is always trying to figure out how to get my hair things off of my wrist so one morning I gave it to her.  She had so much fun sucking on that thing and by the time I got it back it was soaked!
I thought this video was silly of her because it looks like she has a goatee!

One of my favorite things about Reese is her beautiful smile.  It is so easy to get her to smile.  She is a little bit bashful too.  If she doesn't know you very well she will smile at you for just a second and then turn away and hide her smile from you.  It is adorable!  She has also started posing for the camera.  Every time we pull the camera out we say, "Reese say cheese" and she whips out one of those killer smiles.

Resse has brought so much joy into our home!
Since it is her half birthday today we decided that we needed to celebrate!  I have never been one to celebrate half birthdays but it was a good excuse for buying Reese a new outfit and going and getting one of our favorite desserts.

So after going to the doctors we headed to BJ's were they have the yummiest dessert called a Pizookie!  It is so yummy!  We thoroughly enjoyed EVERY single bite!  And Reese enjoyed a few bites of ice cream as well, we could tell she enjoyed it because she was smacking her lips together after each bite.
Thank you Reese for having a half birthday so we could justify eating a Pizookie today, but most of all thank you for coming to our family.  We sure do love you little girl and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!

Summer Lovin'

The summer is coming to a quick end.  I think, both Ben and I are excited about that.  Don't get me wrong I love the summer time, but we are ready for summer sales to be over with.  We are excited to see our families again and spend some time with them.  I think Ben is looking forward to relaxing for a few days before school starts up again.  It will just be nice to be back home again!
These last few days Ben has got to spend an extra hour with us in the morning time.  They usually start at 12 but because it has been so hot they have been starting an hour later.  I LOVE it!  We got to spend a couple of extra hours at the pool yesterday and I got my FIRST sunburn of the summer!  (yeah I am pasty white)
Reese is growing so much.  I can hardly believe that she will soon be 6 months old.  I can't believe how quickly the past 5 1/2 months have gone by.  She is getting such a personality.  She is starting to do so many funny and silly things that make me laugh every day.

We have seriously been so blessed with such a sweet and happy little girl.  We just have so much fun with her.  She of course has her moments but those aren't very often.  She is the most ticklish girl I know and I can't help but tickle her every once in a while because her little laugh just makes my heart happy.  We love this little girl so much and I am sure that she is quite spoiled, but we just can't help it.
She was so funny the other day while I was feeding her rice cereal.  She couldn't hold still to save her life.  She had to stare out the window, then over at the couch, at the ceiling, and everywhere else.  It seriously took her 30 minutes to eat a little tiny bowl of cereal.  In between  her looking around everywhere she would get tired and rest her head on her Bumbo and then she would start sucking on it.

She has started doing something really funny with her nose.  Don't mind my deep breathing through my nose, I promise I wasn't blowing snot everywhere!  Enjoy!
