Reese has been nine months for two weeks now!!!
Holy Smokes, I cannot believe it!
Time is going so quickly and before I know she is going to be one and no longer my sweet little baby, but a TODDLER!!! Yikes!!
We went to the Doctor's for her check-up and the stats are:
Weight: 17lbs. 8 oz. (25th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (25th percentile)
It is so hard to believe that Reese use to look like this...
She has grown so much in the last 9 months and is doing so many new things. It is hard to keep up with her and keep our apartment clean because she is SO active now and into EVERYTHING.
Reese has such a fun personality but she can be so shy sometimes. When we went down to Utah this past week she got to see LOTS of family that she hasn't seen for a while. When she first meets new people this is the look that she give them...a little head tilt with a half smile.
I think it is the cutest little look ever. My brother-in-law Andy told me that we were never going to be able to discipline her because she gives you that cute little head tilt...I think we are in trouble!
Unfortunately Reese also LOVES LOVES LOVES to suck on her pointer finger. She use to love her thumb but I worked long and hard on getting her to quit sucking it, so now it is the pointer finger...
It is hard to get a picture without that darn finger in her mouth...
Reese has MASTERED the art of holding onto things and walking around the house. She walks holding onto the walls, the fridge, the dishwasher, chairs, people's pants, anything that she can use to help herself walk. She LOVES to walk and would rather walk than crawl.
We were quite surprised when she took a couple of steps during Thanksgiving! She doesn't walk far and it is only a few steps, but I was quite surprised!
One of her favorite places to play is under our kitchen table.
Don't ask me what is so neat about under the table but for Reese it is the best place in the world. She will walk in between the chairs and play with her toys under there forever. I don't get it, but it is Reese's special play place.
Reese is a pro at saying mama and dada. She loves spending time with her dad. When he walks in the front door and she sees him she always gets so excited and gives him the biggest grin!
Well enough rambling, I just wanted to put up a few comparison pictures...it is amazing to see how much Reese has changed in 9 months. My sister-in-law Malia pointed out to me that Reese doesn't look anything like she once did...I kind of agree...what do you think?
She was so funny, she found her swing the other day and we pulled it out for her and put her in it. She was in heaven again. She loved that swing when she was little and spent many hours in it. This time though her butt was dragging on the ground and it didn't swing quite as fast because of her weight, but she still had fun!
Yeah, I think it is safe to say that she has DEFINITELY grown a lot in the last 9 months!
We love you little girl and are so thankful for the many smiles and laughs you bring into our home. We love your sweet, sweet spirit and are so thankful that Heavenly Father sent you to us! Happy nine months!
Only a face her parents could love!
