"Seamless Access Management and Secure Integration Across All Platforms"
What do you like best about Okta?

Okta offers a seamless combination of user-friendly design, robust security, and reliable integration across multiple platforms. It provides an efficient single sign-on experience that reduces login friction and enhances productivity for both agents and administrators. Through Okta, we maintain secure and streamlined access to essential tools—Guru, Kustomer, UJET, and our LMS from a single, centralized platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

What I like least about Okta is minimal, as the platform runs smoothly throughout the day. Reauthentication typically occurs only once per shift, which has little to no impact on productivity. Overall, it’s a seamless and reliable access management tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Okta: Effortless Identity Management"
What do you like best about Okta?

For a Business or IT Perspective

“What I like best about Okta is its reliability and ease of integration. It provides a secure, centralized way to manage user access across multiple applications, which saves time and reduces risk. The single sign-on and lifecycle management features make onboarding and offboarding employees seamless.”

Why this works:

It shows awareness of business value (security, productivity, efficiency).

👨‍💻 For a Technical or Admin Perspective

“The best part of Okta is how developer-friendly it is — the APIs, documentation, and prebuilt integrations make identity management straightforward. Its multi-factor authentication options and adaptive security policies give us a lot of flexibility to balance user experience and security.”

Why this works:

It highlights appreciation for the technical robustness of the platform.

👥 For a User/Employee Experience Perspective

“I really like how simple Okta makes it to access all my tools. Having single sign-on means I don’t have to remember dozens of passwords — I just log in once and everything I need is available securely.”

Why this works:

It emphasizes usability and convenience from an end-user point of view.

💡 For a Leadership or Strategic Perspective

“Okta’s biggest strength is that it lets us scale securely. As our organization grows, we can easily manage permissions, maintain compliance, and ensure that only the right people have access to the right systems — all while keeping the employee experience smooth.”

Why this works:

What do you dislike about Okta?

Complex Initial Setup and Configuration

While Okta is powerful, setup can be complex, especially for large organizations or hybrid environments.

Integrating with on-prem systems (like Active Directory or LDAP) can require careful configuration.

Fine-tuning MFA policies, user flows, and app integrations often demands specialized knowledge.

Some admins find the learning curve steep for advanced features like API integrations or Workflows.

💸 High Cost for Advanced Features

Okta’s pricing structure can be expensive, especially when scaling:

Features like Adaptive MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Advanced Workflows are often sold as add-ons.

Mid-size companies sometimes feel they’re “nickel-and-dimed” for capabilities that competitors bundle in.

Licensing costs can grow quickly as new applications and users are added.

🧭 Admin Console Usability Issues

Although improving, the admin dashboard can feel cluttered or unintuitive:

Certain configuration screens are buried behind multiple menus.

Searching for users, groups, or logs isn’t always fast or straightforward.

The reporting tools, while detailed, can lack flexibility for custom analytics.

🐢 Inconsistent User Experience

End users sometimes report small but frustrating UX issues:

The MFA prompts can be repetitive or confusing when switching networks or devices.

Password reset flows occasionally lag or cause confusion if synced with multiple systems (like HRIS + AD).

The mobile app (Okta Verify) occasionally has connectivity or push notification delays.

🔍 Limited Customization

Customization is somewhat limited for certain use cases:

Branding and login page customization options are basic without deep developer work.

Some admins wish for more granular controls or custom MFA rules beyond what’s built-in.

APIs and SDKs are powerful but can require additional developer overhead to tailor fully.

🧩 Integration Edge Cases

While Okta integrates with thousands of apps, not all integrations are perfect:

Some third-party tools require manual SAML setup or troubleshooting.

Keeping provisioning sync consistent between Okta and niche SaaS tools can require maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect Balance of Security and Usability with Okta"
What do you like best about Okta?

The best thing about Okta is its balance between security and usability. It’s rare to find an identity platform that makes life easier for both end users and administrators. The intuitive dashboard, automation features, and integration ecosystem make it a cornerstone for modern identity management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

While Okta is powerful, its pricing can be on the higher side for smaller organizations, and some UI areas could be more intuitive. However, the trade-off is solid reliability, security, and scalability — which makes it worth it for most enterprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Okta in Action: Streamlining Identity & Access Management""
What do you like best about Okta?

What I like best about Okta is the ease of using Single Sign-On for multiple business applications, which saves time and reduces password fatigue. The platform makes it simple for employees to log in securely without needing to manage many different credentials. I also appreciate the flexibility of the multi-factor authentication options, which add strong security while keeping the login process user-friendly.

What do you dislike about Okta?

There is not much to dislike about Okta, but sometimes the initial setup and configuration can feel a little complex for new users. "OKTA Review"
What do you like best about Okta?

Okta's most helpful feature is its ability to provide centralized access. As a result, you can use a single login to access all your necessary tools, which we do every day as part of our jobs. The system has proven to be highly reliable, and we have not encountered any significant issues. When support is needed, assistance is readily available. Beyond its user-friendly interface, one of Okta's key strengths is the ease with which it can be integrated and implemented. For IT and administrative teams, the platform streamlines the process of connecting and deploying new applications. This centralized control simplifies user management, making it easy to onboard new employees, provision access to different tools, and enforce security policies across the organization. The intuitive setup process allows for rapid deployment, ensuring a seamless transition and quick adoption throughout the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

While Okta provides a secure and centralized access point for our tools, the unreliability of the email-based OTP delivery can be a major point of friction for users. When an email with the verification code is delayed, flagged as spam, or simply not received, it creates a roadblock that prevents immediate access to critical systems. This issue could be significantly improved by implementing a more reliable alternative for two-factor authentication. For example, offering the option to use a mobile authenticator app or SMS text message for verification would provide a more immediate and secure experience, reducing dependency on email and ensuring continuous access for all users. "Behind the Login: My Honest Take on Using Okta Daily"
What do you like best about Okta?

What I like best about Okta is how effortlessly it brings everything together.

Instead of juggling multiple logins and passwords, I just sign in once and boom, I’m in. Whether its work apps, email, or tools I use daily, Okta makes access feel seamless and secure. The peace of mind knowing that multi-factor authentication is quietly working in the background is a huge plus. Its like having a smart gatekeeper who never sleeps.

Also, the interface is clean and intuitive — even for someone who’s not super tech-savvy. It just works, and that’s what I appreciate most. The integration is very easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

while the setup is powerful, it can be a bit overwhelming for new users or smaller teams without dedicated IT support. It’s not exactly plug-and-play.

Once I had issues to login okta in another device. I was unable to login into my new device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No need to remember passwords anymore, but I don't know what will happen if I lose my phone"
What do you like best about Okta?

We have a lot of tools. Without Okta, it would've been impossible to remember all the passwords. It's also more secure as it generates OTPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

Maybe this is resolved, but I don't know what would happen if I lose my phone. I feel like it's a "single point of failure" for my day-to-day work. If there is a solution for that, I would love to be reminded about it from time to time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable and secure identity management solution"
What do you like best about Okta?

What I like most about Okta is its simplicity and reliability in managing user authentication across multiple applications. It provides Single Sign-On (SSO), which makes logging in much faster and more secure. The integration with other platforms is smooth, and the security features like Multi-Factor Authentication add a strong layer of protection. It really helps us manage identities at scale without complications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

The main drawback is that the initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex, especially for teams without much experience in identity management. Also, the pricing can feel a little high for smaller companies. However, once it is properly set up, the platform works very reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Felt More Secure Than Ever"
What do you like best about Okta?

I appreciate the login process with Okta. It allows me to use my laptop's fingerprint as the first authentication step, followed by my YubiKey for the second step. Without completing both of these steps, I am unable to access my company laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

On mobile devices, Okta does not support fingerprint authentication, which means I always have to enter my password and then use my Yubikey. If Okta enabled fingerprint authentication, it would save time and make the process more convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
